i learned about Tim Wong who successfully and singlehandedly repopulated the rare California Pipevine Swallowtail butterfly in San Francisco. In the past few years, he’s cultivated more than 200 pipevine plants (their only food source) and gives thousands of caterpillars to his local Botanical Garden (x)

#life imitates art #reminds me of the guy who became well-known in the pokemon community who when he read that lapras was nearly extinct #at least in older pokedex entries (and it was his favorite pokemon)#he mades a reddit thread now grown-up about how as a child he would breed for lapras & release them after they hatched #then around gen 6 a new pokedex entry mentioned that due to dedicated conservation efforts #the lapras population was no longer endangered #ppl who are so full of love for life they can defy nature & humanity's destruction of it have a special place in my heart #i hope that guy is doing well & doing something similar irl

Do final fantasy players know what his deal is. Do they know he's a desperately lonely and always slightly horny middle aged alcoholic trapped in the body of an off-putting dog. Do they know how happy he'd have to be to be isekai'd into Final Fantasy and captured by a bunnygirl adventurer.

Do they know he's so hilariously unpleasant that humans see him as possibly just a normal dog and he still got put in human jail for making women uncomfortable

These aren't complaints, this is the funniest fucking character a collectible monster franchise has ever had. if you play this final fantasy please give him as good a home as you feel he deserves

#oh yeah yokai watch has always had some fucked up little critters #he has a counterpart who's got white fur w/ a pink trim but has a pretty boy face #theyre both based on the jinmenken yokai which is just a fucked up human faced yokai #apparently their whole thing in folk stories is 1) insult you [they can talk] & 2) cause disaster if u see one #absol is based off of them that's why they all got relatively humanoid faces

was scrolling a blog and saw someone saying the only people who harassed predstrogen were photography mathew and terfs, and i'd like to remind you that predstrogen was also being mass harassed by "transandrophobia is real" losers and as soon as her blog was deleted, transandrodorks took advantage to make up accusations of her of sexual harassing them and of being sexual with minors (the ceo even followed a blogger saying that). i think it's important not to ignore the incredibly violent transmisogyny of all groups who targeted her, and that includes the transmascs who worked with terfs to make a woman's like hell.
