Just don’t. These are real people. They play fictional characters. Their relationships are fictional. Get a grip.

I’m not gonna stand for people discouraging her from engaging with the fandom when she and her fans both enjoy it, and I’m not gonna be silent when people are just fucking rude.

No matter how heinous you are, it won’t change the fact that she + Joe + The Duffers loved the characters’ dynamic and regret the death.

And like. The character is still dead. So what are you trying to accomplish, aside from just tearing down an innocent person who is just vibing? Ruining that for her, and the people who like her/her character?

Why are you so threatened by an actress who played a character who died on on a show that’s ending next season? Wtf?

Grace is a real person with real feelings, and even if she says the haters aren’t hurting them - people’s weird ship fueled hateboner has gotta be weird and annoying. She got herself a part on one of Netflix’s flagship shows, and with that probably comes the most exposure she’s ever had. She was only in one episode proper where she got to play the character - not as a corpse or a vision. She wasn’t a main character, but there’s been such a warm response to that. So much love and creative energy from the fans. The majority of them.

She should be able to enjoy that without anyone trying to ruin it for her or shame her for it. Shame on you if you’re trying to tear her down.

Again, if I had maybe 10 minutes of screen time before dying - but if multiple people were spending multiple hours drawing art, multiple times, of a character I portrayed? I’d be all 🥺 too.

So would you. Don’t pretend you wouldn’t.

And you don’t cry “nepotism” towards Maya Hawke, and the only reason I can think that you don’t do that because her character isn’t a “threat” to your ship.

And let’s be real. If it was Joe Keery sharing Steve/Eddie art, you wouldn’t care. You’d be all over it… so I don’t even think it’s a ship thing tbh. I think it’s a misogyny thing.

And yet y’all want to make it a ship war thing so bad, but I don’t think anyone wants that or is here for it? It’s 2022. Who has the time or energy to devote to such a thing? There’s enough hate in the world.

Ship what you want, like what you like. Dislike what you dislike, just don’t be rude to people. Stay in your lane. I’m not going to hate on you for ship, but I will call you out/make fun of you if you’re doing something like attack an actress over fictional characters.

Because that’s stupid. There’s truly no better way to describe it, if you do that, you’re a stupid person.

Prom Night 1986 (Chrissy lives AU)

expectedly, Chrissy is elected Prom Queen and, unexpectedly for the whole school, her first dance is with Eddie (i mean, they knew she and Jason broke up but… Eddie The Freak Munson??!!). She convinced him to come and, most importantly, to wear a blazer, a velvet red one, owned by his uncle since the 70s, over a simple rock band tee-shirt… so, they go public for the first time during this event after weeks of secret relationship, for they know they will have to endure mockeries or side-eyes just a few days before graduation. tl; dr: yeah, LOVE WINS  ❤️🥳

Clearing up the Eddie and Chrissy age debate

It amazes me that people are clinging to the wiki rather than logically thinking.

The file is never in focus in the few seconds it’s shown - and its very hard to make out if Chrissy was born 1968 or 1969. The number does look like an 8 when compared to other 8’s on the form. And one thing that must be considered is her enrolment date - 24/5/1982. Would she have been 12 when enrolled and barely 13 when entering, when the Party entered the school at 14? Or would she have enrolled at 13 and entered at 14? And either way - 1982 to 1986 is four years. Chrissy is a senior - no sign of her repeating a grade at all, although it would make an interesting parallel with Eddie, I guess. And she literally wore an 86 medallion, something only a senior about to graduate would wear. Not a coincidence that Eddie says “‘86 baby” in reference to his graduating that year.

Does it make more sense for her to be a 16-turning-17 year old senior, or a 17-turning-18 year old senior?

And considering her status - Queen of Hawkins High, dating a senior, cheer captain - it makes more sense for her to be on the older end of the scale. Plus, I personally figured she was a senior given that she was brave enough to meet with Eddie alone in the woods.

Plus, she was literally in middle school with Eddie, as Grace pointed out on twitter - middle school lasts 3 years. And Eddie was set to graduate originally in 1984, putting his DOB at 1965 or 1966. This 20-21 date is fallacious - the citation says he was graduating 1983 and cites the show when the trivia section right above contradicts it, and is actually correct:

In no conceivable universe would a 21 year old man, turning 22, be allowed in high school, especially in the eighties. Hell, 20 turning 21, is a massive stretch. By that point he’d be in night classes pursuing a GED. In context, it makes more sense for Eddie to be about 19 aka born 1966-1967 - putting it into the context of Chrissy’s age and the FACT that they were in middle school together, probably 6th and 8th grade at the same time, he has to be about 19. And putting all of that together the age gap is negligible, especially since the elder party is literally still in high school.

So there you go. The antis can unclench, and everyone can go back to enjoying what they ship.
