i know the idea of 'hear me out' type posts is weird non-conventional attraction but i also have a fascination for the people whos 'hear me outs' are conventionally attractive characters from the most OBSURE media. like if you were asked to name a sexy character and your first thought is the girl from a mostly forgotten 1980s canadian animated scifi musical im gonna be way more intrigued by whats going on in your brain than if you had said like. the dragon from shrek yknow.

The twist of Hargreeves killing Ben is genuinely soooo bad
#also it is INSANE to have ben be murdered in front of everyone like that like that's SO dumb#i've said it before and i'll say it again#if hargreeves was always meant to have had a machine that could brainwash his kids then the first season would have looked a LOT different#you want me to believe he had a memory alteration machine and he used it ONE TIME?#that his main conflict was struggling to control the kids through abuse and he didn't use his brainwashing machine to make it easier?#never tried to use it on viktor to make him forget about his powers? never used it on five to keep him in line?#never brainwashed klaus to get him over his fear of ghosts? on diego to keep him from going full i hate you dad mode?#hargreeves killing ben himself is STUPID and BORING and SHOW ALTERING and NOT INTERESTING and CLUNKY#hargreeves having the capability to brainwash his kids and yet not keeping them brainwashed is a retcon the likes of which i have never see#you cannot have a first season where a major conflict is the flawed forced mind manipulation of a three year old by another three year old#and then reveal that their dad actually had a super effective mind manipulation machine he just never used to fix this problem#STUPID TO THE POINT OF NONSENSE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!#everything about their explaining ben's death plot was DUMB AND BAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
