I have a feeling Steph is so mischaracterized in this fandom because so many people didn't read the CYSTW posts.

Like the number of people in the fandom who admit to not reading the letters or not watching the tapes, I wouldn't be surprised

thinking about how habit's animal motif is a rabbit but he's an abnormal predator in his ecosystems.

So much imagery with rabbits and I see so many people draw Habit and Evan with the rabbit motif but I rarely see anyone discuss or draw how the cannibalistic tendencies of the rabbit, a prey animal, symbolize how Evan destroys himself as much as Habit destroys Evan's life.

Like yeah Habit eats people but Evan is tearing himself up and is left with nothing at the end. He too is all-consuming. Be it himself, his collections, games, his friends. That empty hole Evan has had for his entire life was an entry way for Habit- it's literally why he was even inhabited in the first place. This guy amplifies human kind's bad habits, Evan was full of them.

that isnt to say its Evan's fault. The Princeton Tapes and documents are lengthy clues to Evan's past. I fear he was already vacant and doomed, regardless of how desperately he tried to protect his friends. It wasnt really them he needed to protect, it was himself.

But yeah, tldr: it's a dead-ish fandom created by real people with real lives and we don't want to scare them more than the unsavory ones of us have already done.

Adding on with same setiment here - I'm not any of the above - well, this is just a kin blog and me reblogging art/headcannons/creepypasta shit and the like. Definitely never will forget the accidental oh fuck moment of Jeff finding this blog a few years ago and I'm terrified of what he thinks of those of us that do kin given they've been fucked with to the point of making new in-game last names for their characters in the ARG. We're not pretending to be y'all, this is unfortunately how trauma manifests to cope by familiar sources for some of us, and we're usually not incredibly weird like the few that caused trouble.

Should I be making once-in-a-while posts about me not being a weirdo?? I am very afraid of people coming up on this blog and being either creeps or jerks.

I swear on my bunny I'm not a weirdo, I'd be happy to talk with any of the crew so they understand better because I feel horrible about the people who have fucked around with them about kin and/or DID stuff. I don't pretend to be any of the actors. I don't pretend to be part of the crew, creative team, or anything of the sort.
