So...

I just started watching FBI a lot over the past few days and I have to make it clear, in no uncertain terms, that I would climb OA Zidan like a tree if given the chance.

Seriously. He’s so hot. So hot!

Your eyes blink open and a shiver runs through your body, the crisp air of Chicago nights permeating the walls of your apartment. Hand reaching out blindly for your phone on the nightstand, you read the time. 11:07 pm. You must have fallen asleep. Ears perking up at the sound of shuffling coming from the living room, a smile tugs at the corners of your mouth as you realize your boyfriend must be home. Pushing aside the covers, you swing your legs over the side of the bed, flinching when your bare feet touch the hardwood floors. You wrap your arms around yourself as you make your way through the quiet apartment, smile growing at the sight when you round the corner.

Naked Fridays

Music filters through the apartment as you twirl around the living room, dancing to the upbeat tune. You fluff up a pillow and place it back on the couch, working your way from room to room, cleaning on your day off. You are so lost in your own world, singing along to the words with your eyes closed, that you don’t hear the sound of the front door opening and closing. It isn’t until you spin again that you notice the other person in the room and you yelp, hands flying to your chest. The fast racing of your heart settles as your eyes take in the form of your boyfriend, relieved that some random ax murderer wasn’t in your house.

You watched as he started dating Erin for real, as they began getting more serious, as he moved in with her. It’s not like you didn’t like Erin because you did; you were good friends with her. The problem was that somewhere along the way, you’d fallen in love with your best friend. You wanted to be the one that was there for him after a tough case, the one he kissed at the end of the night, the one he woke up next to in bed.

You’d been in Chicago for about two months now, deciding to follow Sylvie’s lead and leave Fowlerton behind. You have a pretty good gig as a pediatric nurse at Chicago Med, but Sylvie insisted that you stay with at her apartment until you can save up enough to afford a nice apartment in a safe neighborhood. Unfortunately, she’d learned the hard way when she first moved here that getting a cheaper place in a rough part of town just wasn’t worth the whole being-robbed-and-almost-killed part. You were so grateful for the paramedic but ever since you’ve been here, she’s been trying to set you up on date after date after date.

Chapter One

Pulling onto the scene, Jay climbs out of his Sierra with a to-go cup of coffee in each hand. His eyes scan the park, illuminated by flashing red and blue lights and littered with law enforcement. Spotting his partner standing with the rest of the team, he moves towards them, boots wading through the dewy grass. Hailey notices him and flashes a smile as he hands her one of the coffee cups he promised to grab; even though they each only had two beers, they would rather be safe than sorry when it comes to Voight. He returns her nod and brings the cup to his lips, gulping down the steaming liquid. It burns his throat, but he doesn’t mind; the warm rush that floods through his veins is a welcome relief to the crisp wind of a Chicago night.
