pip observed the other night that xena treats Warrior Princess as a kind of third gender. there’s women there’s men and then there’s Warrior Princess. which is maybe some kind of innate gender assigned at birth because we never really see anyone fully and successfully socially transition from woman to Warrior Princess onscreen no matter how good they get at fighting or what titles and recognition they acquire.

I'd take Beethoven to a rave. Not because I'd think he'd particularly enjoy the scene, but he would have loved experiencing an event where you're supposed to feel the music vibrating through the air and the floor.
