Trust me

Hey Skylar, first I wanna start by saying these post were supposed to be jump-cut videos for you to see the facial expression of the state I’m in. Today doesn’t feel like one of those days. Today is the day I figured out who I can be. And I am needs to be headstrong for me and my family. I’ve been through the fire in regards to the relationships I’ve been in since your mother. After me and your mother split, I started to focus more on my music. I know that sounds selfish but music has always been my passion. And the passion happened when I figured out how to tell my story through the music. I sucked at first. I didn’t know what to talk about. Before I had you, I was on the cusp of implementing storytelling into to my music. It wasn’t perfect but in that moment I knew what I wanted to do with my life. I made numerous bad decisions in that time frame as well. My decision making skills has improved since you’ve been born(I still have those videos. I might post them but I’ll ask your mom and step-mother first). Secondly, this page is meant for you and YOU only. 

These are my pure thoughts and feelings for you to ingest. And I’m hoping whatever I write for you about me isn’t distasteful. The flavor in every word I write should be seasoned with the right amount of love, for you to understand the ways that I show love. I hope that these heighten your mind and your hearts taste buds. Chase self love first because external love can be pulled from under you like a house rug. I dug deep in me to seek for my purpose. Never trust any man or woman on earth that doesn’t love you beyond your surface. You are worth more than 40 acres of lawn, these serpents live in the grass to pic niggas to bond with. Trying to convince you, that they are the one. But on the low be two timing, these pressures of life made me a diamond. Defining moments out my control. I worked my way out of those situations like it was remote. I made a promise to remove myself before you got here. And when you arrived with a life story to tell I was all ears. Trust me.

This is your grandmother Hattie. I don’t remember what occasion was for her to dress this but she breathtaking. 🥰🥰

This is your uncle Reese. He was the only friend I had when we were kids.

We went shopping this day and I changed your clothes immediately. Then I asked you if you wanted to take a picture, you didn’t hesitate to say yes. And here was the results. The first picture, I said put up the peace sign 😂. The second and third picture, you did that pose on your own 😂. Where did you learn that from? Because you didn’t learn that from me.

🥰 one thing I wanna say about this is that it was your first Christmas with your grandpa and your great grandmother. And I this day was spent in the hometown I grew up in, in Hialeah. You had tons of gifts. More toys than clothes tho.

You never seemed excited to open a gift. 😂 You was weird like that but I love you the way you are.

This was the first time I took you to Fun Dimension. You had a blast. You did not wanna leave. But these pictures of you and Santa was priceless 😂😂😂. You are a very funny human being. It amazes me that you aren’t afraid to express yourself so young. You were two years old in this picture. When you were happy it glowed so hard 😊. You was the brightest colors of the rainbow 🌈. And when you was upset 😡 you was not having it. You didn’t throw a tantrum, or your toys 🧸. All you did was retreat to the other side of the room and stay quiet. You did not want to be bothered. And you didn’t have to speak to tell me how you felt. Your facial expressing said it all and I heard it loud and clear. When you looked at him: “Sir, can you put me down. I don’t know you”. And when you looked at me: “Dad, why am I being held by a stranger”. 😂😂 When he hugged you Skylar you gave this man A DEATH STARE I will never forget. And what I learned from this experience was to NEVER let that happen again.

Don’t worry your eyes weren’t swollen. You just woke up a while ago. And dad was being aggy because I wanted to take a picture with my princess. 🥰♥️

Everyday you opened eyes I learned something new about you. You had a habit of looking out the window when you were on the bed. It’s like you were asking me to take you outside. 🥰 I love getting to know you the things that you loved to do. Your a wonderful human being.
