a few nights ago Hozier played at my university and instead of paying $80 for tickets, one of my best friends here and I just sat on the grass next to the amphitheatre and had a picnic and we got to listen to all of his music for free and it was just such a cool/fun memory to have

on the weekend I’m going to Tijuana, Mexico just to go clubbing for the night and it’s so fucking cool that I can just do that so easily here

I feel like I learn so much about myself and grow every day while I am here

I also understand more and more how happy I am when I’m not in a relationship/not having feelings for someone - it’s empowering to genuinely be content with my life and myself and to not have anyone else to prioritise but myself

I’m very happy with my decisions and am proud of my brave/adventurous nature

My best friends here are all smart, interesting, independent and mature women - we all have similar academic and career oriented goals and it’s nice to be around people who are similar to me and have similar passions/personalities/empathy for others as I do
