Head to Asia and find the Lake Toba area of Sumatra Island. These beans are light, sweet, and almost infused with jasmine/cherry flavor. It is quite acidic. Other provinces offer darker, spicy and fruitier blends that smell of cedar and grapefruit. Lampung Robusta beans are grown near Vietnam. They used the process of washing, drying and polishing to give an almost woody, slightly acidic brew that is subtler than Arabica.
Away from Asia, entering the Caribbean, Jamaican Peaberry beans are fuller-bodied, sweetly acidic and have slightly floral tones. They are a nice but strong drink.

Cappuccino - From The Plant To The Store
The production of coffee beans is a global industry, the second in economic terms after oil. It is 2000 years old. There are two main types of beans, arabica, first produced on the Arabian Peninsula, and robusta with twice the caffeine.
The coffee cherry is not a prized fruit; only its bean is needed. This bean is aged, then roasted, ground, and finally brewed to satisfy more than 400 million coffee drinkers around the world.
There are two colors, red and green. The red has more aroma, lower acidity level, and produces better coffees. This item is critical.
Most beans are picked by hand, but only as fast as three baskets a day. They are experts at separating green and red beans, and their skill influences our final product.

Boiling water rushes through the coffee grounds, filters, and settles. For espresso, water pressure just below boiling point as it is forced through the beans is imperative. With common drip coffee makers, the gravity level of the hot water as it drips over the ground and through the filter is important. The steeping process relies on large bags of granules, much like large tea bags. The better the perforations in the bag, the easier it is for hot water to penetrate and produce the desired cup of coffee.
The sometimes laborious and long journey that the coffee bean makes from mountainous or jungle regions around the world to the final grounds in your stores is well worth the wait.
