neil and his teddy elephant headcanon
neil has a little teddy elephant to comfort him that only charlie knows about. however, one day, the other dead poets found it and, out of panic, neil shoot that it wasn't his. however, charlie, being the incredible best friend he is, explained that it was his to prevent neil from being uncomfortable
some time later, all the dead poets collectively decided to adopt him and named him "captain whiteman" despite neil grumbling that it should be called mustard-seed
