I could imagine Lyle having a mean streak about him. Arthur understood this and acknowledges that part of him inherited it from his father.

Arthur had a love-hate relationship with is dad. Thus Arthur would turn to his mother for love and affection, Beatrice.

Lyle Morgan This was a unfinished Comic I did as a collab with @ancient-me. She did the continuation after this. I just got lazy on cleaning it up haha. But it's basically the last moment Arthur has with his dad. He mentions that his dad was shit but for some reason he still kept his hat. So I assume this moment became a core memory for Arthur.

And apparently Ch 139 was finished and is ready to be published today as well, so that’s fun. Isayama really finished SnK on Eren’s birthday huh I still really care about Eren as a person. I have a lot of complicated feelings regarding who he’s become and what he’s done (and those he’s hurt/killed in the process), and in regards to the story his character development is really interesting and deeply tragic, but personally his growth upsets me in more ways than one. I’m not happy he attempted to commit world genocide to keep Paradis safe but I think he’s a victim of fate and he truly felt like there was no way out, so like a cornered animal he just kinda…snapped. The wiki says that he’s been spiraling down a state of depression ever since seeing what the future would hold, and while he did still want a peaceful solution, it was becoming less possible. He rejected both sacrificing Historia and Zeke’s euthanization plan, so the main reason he started the Rumbling was to protect those he loved from the world’s wrath. And considering how distraught he was when he apologized to Ramzi for what he would eventually do, I don’t doubt having all of this responsibility riding on your shoulders AND not seeing the future change even when you try to do something meaningful would be incredibly emotionally taxing, especially if you were given that task at 15 years old and inherited that task from your father at 10 years old. That shit would break anyone. Idk he just makes me sad q-q Also, tbh in reality I feel like Carla would beat the shit out of Eren if she saw what he’s done, but then again I think she’d just be upset that he did so because he felt like he didn’t have any other choice. I think if Eren got to hug his mom again his demeanor might crack and he’d show remorse for what he’s done. Either way drawing Carla and Eren hugging healed my soul and regardless of how SnK ends I know I can give them (and everyone else) the happy ending they all deserve in Venomverse

Carla Jaeger, during the scene where she gets trapped in her house, lies about having her legs broken. She did everything she did to protect and save Eren and Mikasa.

Here comes the boy

This was originally posted on AO3,  I wrote this one after seeing a tiktok video with “Here comes the boy” song with Eren running into his mother’s arms after he dies.

As he steps inside his old house, he heard a voice humming a familiar melody. One that his mom used to sing for him when he was young. he started walking towards the voice. He just came back to his homeland and this was the first place he visited.

“Here comes the boy, hello boy, welcome, there he is…”

There’s no doubt it’s his mother’s lullaby and it’s coming from the rooftop. He climbed the stairs four by four. There was a woman hanging the laundry singing. The lullaby brought back loads of memories he shared with his parents and half sibling. Heart beating faster he slowly walked towards the woman hiding behind the white bed sheets.

“Here comes the boy, don’t leave so soon…” that voice, it can’t be. He saw her being ate by a titan in front of him years ago when shiganshina fell. The day Reiner and Bertolt broke the wall. Swallowing hard he approached.

Hearing the footsteps, the woman stopped singing. steeling a glance from behind the white cloth she paused when her eyes met the tall man’s green eyes.

“It’s you”. Eren whispered staring in disbelief.

“Here comes my boy”. The woman spoke tears running down her face. She slowly opened her arms for him. he run to her and held her tight in his.

“Mom”. He breathed the sent of her hair. “Mom…”. His voice broke, she pulled away and reached her hand whipping her child’s tears.

Smiling she spoke. “There, there. I’m here now honey”.

“I thought I’ll never see you again”. He spoke voice wobbly.

“I’ll always be around to look after my boy”. She backed away looking up and down. “Look at you, you grew up to be such a handsome man. I bet you stole half of the girls’ hearts”. She pulled his hair back uncovering his face. “You have your father’s eyes. Never hide them, they’re so beautiful”. He hugged her again. He couldn’t stop the flow of tears. “I know honey, it’s been tough. Let it all out, mama is here now”.

After helping her with the laundry and eating lunch, Carla set with Eren’s head laying on her lap. Caressing his long and soft brown hair she listened to him telling her about the trainings, the scouts, his new friends, his titan abilities and his half-brother Zeke. Carla listened laughing, nodding, humming and commenting her child’s stories.

It was already dark when Eren felt his mother’s voice being more and more distant. He left his head, sad green eyes locked with his mother’s. “Do you really have to go?”

She nodded. “I have to darling; your father is waiting for me up there”. She printed a soft kiss on his forehead. “Make sure to look after Armin, Mikasa and all your friends, okay?”

“Can I ask for something before you leave?” He held onto Carla’s sleeve.

“Anything you want”.

“Can you sing for me again?”

Smiling Carla caressed his face. “Here comes the boy, hello boy, welcome, there he is, here comes the boy, hello boy, welcome, there he is, here comes the boy, travelling the world, all across the galaxy, touching the stars”. She gulped and gently brushed away tears from Eren’s face. “As far as the eye can see, here comes the boy, here comes the boy, don’t leave so soon, with tears up of your face”. Her voice broke.

Eren sat down and cupped his mom’s face, he sang with her. “Hello boy, don’t leave without a trace, here comes the boy, hello boy, welcome, there he is”. Foreheads pressed against each other’s they sang; remembering happier days, old memories and laughs echoing in the corridors of their souvenirs. “Here comes the boy, hello boy, welcome, there he is”. Her voice was so faint and her smile slowly fading away.

When Eren opened his eyes, he found himself laying on the bed he occupies in Marley’s hospital he’s been staying for a while now. A sad smile lingered across his lips picturing his mother’s smile as he hummed the song’s melody.

Isayama drew Carla and decided her face was too pretty to not use again, so he said copy and paste.

She’s the most gorgeous character ever and her son is the androgynous version of her

Another reason why I think that Eren started to let his hair grow out longer is because he wanted to look more like his mom. Eren already favors Carla in the looks department, but with longer hair he looks so much like her that he practically looks like a male version of her. So I think the two reasons why he grew out his hair is because he wanted to look more like his mom and because Historia mentioned that he would look very handsome with longer hair (this is a very pro Erehisu profile). Also helps that I love the long hair look on Eren the most.
