Shikamaru and his starter Pokemon, Turtwig.
Turtwig is a small, light green, quadruped Pokémon resembling a turtle or tortoise. Its eyes, feet, and lower jaw are yellow. Its body is covered by a brown shell that is composed of earth. The shell has a thick black stripe and a black rim. On a very healthy Turtwig, the shell should feel moist. A small seedling grows on a brown patch on its head. This seedling will wilt if the Pokémon becomes thirsty. As a plant-based Pokémon, Turtwig usually nourishes itself through photosynthesis. It also drinks water, which hardens its soil-based shell. Due to its status as a starter Pokémon, a wild Turtwig is hard to come by and it is generally found under the ownership of Trainers. Turtwigs have a relaxed nature, and eat a lot. Turtwig is the heaviest of all of the starter Pokémon.
When Shikamaru for recieved Turtwig from Professor Iruka, they mostly cloud watched instead of training for battles. He was scolded often by Ino and Sakura.

Rock Lee and his starter Pokemon, Chimchar.
Chimchar is a bipedal Pokémon resembling a chimpanzee. Its fur is primarily a shade of orange, though its face, outer ears, underbelly, hands, and feet are light yellow. Its rear has a small, round, red patch that is usually obscured by flames produced by burning gas in its stomach. These flames go out when it goes to sleep, and burn weakly when it feels ill. Its ears are large in comparison to its head size and red inside. It has two pointed teeth in its upper jaw. Chimchar has red markings nearly surrounding its eyes, a swirl-like symbol on its chest, and five fingers on its hands with three toes on its feet. It has a swirly crest of hair on its head. Being very agile, it is able to climb the rocky ledges of tall mountains, where it lives. Chimchar’s final evolution, Infernape, is a dual Fire Fighting type Pokemon.
When Lee first received his Chimchar from Professor Iruka, he cried.

Tenten and her starter Pokemon, Oshawott.
Oshawott is a bipedal sea otter-like Pokémon. It has a spherical white head with small, triangular dark-blue ears on the sides. Oshawott's eyes are dark and its dark orange nose is shaped like a horizontal oval. Several freckles cover its cheeks which may be premature whiskers, and two pointed teeth can be seen when it opens its mouth. The light blue fur on its body forms bubble shapes around its neck. Its arms are white and rounded, while its feet are dark blue with three toes each. It also possesses a rudder-like dark blue tail. It carries a pale yellow seashell called a "scalchop" on its belly. The scalchop is made from the same element as claws. It detaches the scalchop for use as a blade. This scalchop also holds similarities with Japanese war fans, which were often used by samurai for defensive purposes.
Tenten’s Oshawott is a nervous little thing, her Ghost Type Pokemon enjoy sneaking up on him and giving him a good scare when Tenten is not around.

Kiba and his starter Pokemon, Fennekin.
Fennekin is a small, fox-like Pokémon. It is covered in pale yellow fur that is longer on its haunches. Tufts of dark orange fur cover the insides of its large ears, and it has a white muzzle with longer fur on its cheeks. Hot air is vented from its ears, reaching temperatures of over 390 degrees Fahrenheit. It has large, dark orange eyes and a pointed, black nose. When its mouth is open, two pointed teeth can be seen in its upper jaw. Fennekin also has small paws with no visible toes and slim legs. Its tail is fluffy with a dark orange tip. Fennekin chews on twigs instead of eating snacks. It can be temperamental, but it tries to do its best for its Trainer. Fennekin and its evolutionary relatives share their category with Vulpix and Ninetales. They are all known as the Fox Pokémon.
People often forget that Kiba is the gym leader of a Dark Type gym. While he has caught several other “canine” like Pokemon, his battle team is completely comprised of Dark type Pokemon.

Kakashi and his starter, Cyndaquil.
Cyndaquil is a small, bipedal Pokémon with greenish fur on top of its body, and an off white color on the underside. Cyndaquil seems to be a composite of features from the echidna and the shrew. The echidna features are the flames from its back, while its general body shape is shrew-like. Its eyes are often closed and it has a long, thin snout. It lacks claws on its forelimbs, but has a single claw on each hind foot. Cyndaquil is usually timid by nature and often curls into a ball when intimidated. It has four red spots on its back from which its flames erupt. Cyndaquil is capable of defending itself using these flames. The fire grows more powerful as Cyndaquil becomes more angry or defensive. Though rare in the wild, few can be found living on grasslands. Cyndaquil is the only Fire-type starter Pokémon that retains a pure Fire type throughout its entire evolutionary line. Cyndaquil has since evolved into a Typhlosion, and is still on Kakashi’s primary battle team. Typhlosion is Kakashi’s oldest Pokemon and takes on a fatherly role when spending time with the rest of his team.

Kakashi Hatake is one of Konoha's most talented trainers; regularly looked to for advice and leadership despite his personal dislike of responsibility. To his Elite Four members, Kakashi teaches the importance of teamwork. Kakashi becomes Konoha's Sixth Champion. Since his early childhood, Kakashi was very independent and self-confident, at times even appearing arrogant and condescending. Despite that, Kakashi was very perceptive and intuitive, quickly realizing a battle for what it was. After his father's death, Kakashi became more stern, aloof and cold toward others, following all the rules to the letter, chastising any who disobeyed them. As an adult, Kakashi typically has a relaxed and almost bored attitude, not prone to getting too worked up about anything or by anyone. Despite his increasingly growing reputation and prowess as the Champion, Kakashi has shown no signs of arrogance, and is rather modest about his Pokemon's abilities. He is habitually tardy, showing up to battles when it suits him, using excuses that convince nobody, and later leaving for equally poor reasons. Though Kakashi wants others to believe this is how he always acts, he only does so for matters that aren't of particular importance.

Name - Sasuke Uchiha Hometown - Konohagakure Region - Land of Fire Trainer Class - Konoha Elite Four Specialty Type - Electric Battle Team 1. Ampharos - Able to Mega Evolve 2. Luxray 3. Electivire 4. Vikavolt 5. Manectric - Able to Mega Evolve 6. Raichu If you are able to beat Sai, Sakura and Naruto, your fourth opponent would be Sasuke Uchiha. No one has made it past Naruto since he’s been an Elite Four member. Sasuke has never battled anyone as an Elite Four member. He’s not mad about it. The pursuit of power, difficult enough on its own, is something that Sasuke repeatedly struggles with. Whenever he meets new trainers, he makes an evaluation of their Pokemon’s abilities: those he perceives to be weaker than hiis Pokemon he arrogantly disregards, giving them as little attention as possible so that they won’t hold him back. Those he perceives as stronger, he fixates over and tries to surpass, especially when he believes he should be their equal. Sasuke’s only concern in his Pokémon is of their strength in battle. He strongly dislikes weak Pokémon and has a tendency of releasing them if they do not meet his expectations. To this effect, Sasuke always checks new captures with his Pokédex to learn what moves they know and trains the Pokémon he keeps harshly to make them strong. He feels that bonding with Pokémon would only turn them into slackers. He has a habit of scolding his Pokémon for losing to opponents he feels they could have beaten. Sasuke can be very callous and even brutal, especially in battle. As a result, he has been shown to display very little emotion other than an occasional rough smile when dealing with Naruto or Sakura. Sasuke occasionally gives some of his Pokémon to his brother, Itachi, for temporary training and care taking. He disagrees with his brother for giving up on being a Pokémon Trainer after failing to become the Champion.

Name - Naruto Uzumaki Hometown - Konohagakure Region - Land of Fire Trainer Class - Konoha Elite Four Specialty Type - Fire Battle Team 1. Ninetales 2. Magmortar 3. Darmanitan 4. Blaziken - Able to Mega Evolve 5. Talonflame 6. Charizard - Able to Mega Evolve If you’re able to beat both Sai and Sakura, you third Elite Four opponent will be Naruto Uzumaki. Since becoming an Elite Four member, no trainer has beaten Naruto in a battle. Naruto is boisterous, exuberant and unorthodox. Though he responds best to competition and is not afraid to ask for assistance, Naruto is relatively naive, simple, and slow to understand principles or situations. He often requires an oversimplified analogy in order to grasp explanations, and can even forget some concepts that he himself noted earlier if he is too emotional. Naruto is aware of his faults, and admits he acts strong to mask his embarrassment and frustration about them. Despite his naivety, Naruto can be quite observant, picking up on things others miss and retaining information casually gathered through conversation. Naruto’s number one goal is to become the Pokemon Champion one day.

Name - Sakura Haruno Hometown - Konohagakure Region - Land of Fire Trainer Class - Konoha Elite Four Specialty Type - Poison
Battle Team 1. Venusaur - Able to Mega Evolve 2. Salazzle 3. Nidoqueen 4. Gengar - Able to Mega Evolve 5. Roserade 6. Dragalge
If you’re able to beat Sai, the second Elite Four trainer you’ll battle is Sakura. Rarely does this happen.
She has occasional moments of bashfulness and competitiveness, but otherwise appears quite collected. As a a young trainer, Sakura succeeded through studying alone to the point of pride, able to avoid physical battles and thus allowing her to focus on her physical appearance in a bid to appeal to fellow Elite Four member, Sasuke Uchiha. As a young trainer, however, this was unacceptable. Battles cannot be completed with mere book smarts and it is necessary to be able to battle so that other pokemon will not harm her or her pokemon. She sets out to change this about herself, dedicating nearly three years of training to making herself as capable as other trainers; in the meantime, she becomes willing to sacrifice herself to protect her pokemon, coming to value them all very deeply.
Sakura is considered a Poison Pokemon Master. Defensively, the Poison type is considered one of the best our of all Pokemon types. They are adept in both blocking and inflicting various status conditions, especially poison and bad poison. Poison-type moves are typically used to wear down foes by inflicting poison and bad poison to deal damage over time rather than to rely on basic damage. Sakura’s intelligence is near genius level, she is able to cure pokemon and people who have been poisoned by extracting the poison from their bodies, while simultaneously repairing the damage. And to ensure a complete recovery, Sakura can create an effective antidote after analyzing the poison's contents.

Battle Team 1. Kangaskhan - Able to Mega Evolve 2. Slaking 3. Pidgeot - Able to Mega Evolve 4. Bewear 5. Ursaring 6. Smeargle
Sai is the Elite Four member you battle first if you win the Konoha Pokemon League.
When first introduced, Sai is distinguished by his total lack of emotion which he often masks with a false, cheerful, yet transparent facade. Sai is very observant, and is always focused on his battles. He pays a lot of attention to detail, allowing him to quickly notice if something is not as it appears. Though his team do not look strong, they are incredibly strong. Most trainers do not make it past Sai.

From a young age, Ino has been confident, friendly, bold, and outspoken, occasionally lashing out at others if their personal habits bother her. She is also prideful in her appearance and often tries to lose weight by dieting in the hopes that it will make her more attractive.
Despite her assertiveness and uppity demeanor, Ino is a compassionate and kind person at heart, having been raised to embody the meaning of the bush clover: a blunt, candid love who treasures the bonds with her Pokemon.

Name - Shikamaru Nara Hometown - Konohagakure Region - Land of Fire Trainer Class - Konoha Gym Leader Specialty Type - Grass Badge - Leaf Badge Battle Team 1. Sceptile - Able to Mega Evolve 2. Gogoat 3. Exeggutor 4. Tropius 5. Torterra 6. Vileplume
Shikamaru is naturally a lazy person and his inclination is to do as little work as possible. He likes to spend his days sleeping, watching the clouds, and lounging around with his Pokemon. When a young trainer shows up at his gym for a battle, he responds first by saying, "how troublesome," and then by trying to find some way out of it, either by pretending to be indisposed or even outright saying that he doesn't want to battle.
Although Shikamaru describes himself as "the number one coward", he has a strong moral compass and dedication to his friends and team. He still clings to his lazy origins as much as he can; even if he can't spend his entire day being idle, he at least avoids having long-term goals or confessing any particular pleasure in the duties he's assigned.
Shikamaru received Vileplume as a Oddish, gifted to him by Ino Yamanaka.

Lee is energetic, optimistic, and hot-blooded, and shows the epitome of a "nice guy". He shows strong dedication to his promises; when this promise is broken, just barely, he assigns himself arduous training to prevent it from happening again. Lee speaks respectfully to others, never using contractions or swear words and always addressing people with appropriate honorifics. He also carries a small book and pencil to recall advice that other trainers give him over time. Despite his passionate nature, Lee has also shown strong instincts, staying focused at the battle at hand and rarely losing his composure. He has a keen sense of honor and respects his opponents, refusing to hold grudges against trainers who have defeated him, and returning favors to those that have helped him. Lee feels others should show the same respect towards their opponents, and is disgusted whenever someone is unnecessarily cruel to their Pokemon.
