when i changed the background color on your "promise" theme, the subtitle disappeared. it recognizes im typing something in but its just an empty box and wont show text

hi! i just tested it again and on my end when i change the colors the subtitle still shows up. make sure your background and your title are two contrasting colors or else you won’t be able to see it! try reinstalling it and see if it goes away, also sometimes you have to save then reload the page so the customize page can work properly.

hi :-) so I've been using your theme Promise and was wondering if there's a way to get 2 columns instead of 1. I was trying to change some of the code and succeeded with customizing some components, but not the columns. im sorry to bother you with this!! i really love the theme and don't want to change it just because of the columns... if not, don't worry about it, thank u anyway for the cool theme <3

hello! i’m extremely sorry for the late answer, i’m not coming to tumblr very often :( 

to answer your question, i actually don’t know how to make it two columns! i’m still a beginner so i tend to stick with simple coding since i don’t really know how to do columns efficiently. i have tried to make one as you can see on my blog, but that one was from scratch; so i don’t know how to add columns to an already made code, if that makes any sense.

it’s no bother, you can always ask me stuff and i’ll do my best to answer!! :) and thank you for the compliment! i’ve worked really hard on it and i’m glad you liked it ♥

Hi! I just started using your theme 03: star and it's amazing :D I was having one small problem that I don't know how it fix? If a post has too many hashtags it sometimes spills over to the other post's infobox. Any idea how to maybe fix that? Maybe hide the additional tags that are exceeding the post height or pushing the next post down with more padding? Thank you so much!

hi, and thank you for the compliment! 

so, to fix this issue your hashtags will have to look a bit different unfortunately, instead of looking like this: 

#hashtag #hashtag

it will look like this until the line breaks:

#hashtag #hashtag

go to your code and search for “.tags” and find this piece of code:

then, inside the curly brackets add: display:inline-block; (it doesn’t matter if it’s above or under “font-size”)

and that should fix it!

If it’s not the like to reblog ratio, what do we do going forward?

This is only reflecting of posts in the theme making community.

In the first post in this series, we compared theme maker posts from 2020 with ones in 2016-2018. The end result was that the like to reblog ratios were similar in both groups. I’ve continued comparing posts since the original post, and this has still been consistent.

It’s reassuring that themes aren’t getting worse like to reblog ratio over time, but this doesn’t really answer the question about how to gain exposure. The new tagging system makes it harder to find new themes, especially if you don’t know how to make sure your posts get seen.
