Moflin - ai pet plushie

aight if you thought the Qoobo was cute, HOLY SHIT MY GUY.

It's said to have a programmed personality that is changes the more you interact with it(meaning each Moflin will be ~unique~). It has touch sensors for petting, moves like a lil cute fluffy worm,

and uses wireless charging..

IN A TINY LIL BED/HOME.

I seriously can't get over how fucking adorable this little guy is. It also had a Kickstarter(selling for about 300usd on there),and as of an update on Nov 8th 2022, has still yet to send out the initial production of them.

Hmm that means there really isn't any more info on'em :I It'll probs be a while before any new info comes out-till backers get theirs and before/if a a public store is available.

i just really like weird tech.

weird shaped computer mice, unique communication devices, electronic companions, gadgets used for a very specific purpose...

But I realized that there wasn't really a single space, I would find them all over the web..and was stupid and didn't keep track of them =3=

so this is my weird solution to obsessively 'collect' them all into one space. I might open submits if that ever interests people, for now imma just sit in my lil corner rambling bout cool things.

Qoobo - tailed cushion

Pronounced = ku-bo

aight what is this: cushion used for therapeutic purposes, tail wags, and electronic innards of the cushion produces a heart beat.

The tail itself has different modes, slowly when pet gently, waving when pet with more force, and will also wave randomly- just to say 'oh hi'

I became obsessed with this thing after the passing of my childhood pet, she was attached to my front(her favourite spot, i'd hold her like a baby lol) and wanted to kinda fill the void...

There are multiple pet-like companions, but this one got by the uncanny value. By not trying to replicate the looks of a cat or dog.

It had a kickstarter that started in March of 2017, and seems to be still selling today. Not only that but I've found two different versions:

the smaller with a nub tail, Petit Qoobo(released about 2 years after in 2019),

And even a disney licensed one after the cat Marie from the Aristrocats(two year-ish after, 2021),

They're pretty expensive, around 300$ usd(though I couldn't find an official listing for it NA side) and the petit being around 150 usd.

I would love to own one to do a more in-depth look at it, to see if it effects me day to day.

Fun fact: the company behind it, Yukai Engineering, is the same one behind the telekinetic cat eyes 'Nekomimi'. The ones that would sense you mood to move the ears to match! (I had no idea lol, i was like ' yeah makes sense')
