can i say that being an anti-ai soad fan has been a fucking nightmare lately. everywhere i go, i see ai voice covers related to soad. it's always a bit insulting, too. i keep getting recommended videos titled "(x) song (1998 serj cover)" and i've never even watched one of these stupid covers. to me, it feels so much like an insult to serj's voice as it began to age. not only is it unacceptable to steal someone's voice for ai covers, but it's also being used to "fix" the voice of a real person. i'm disgusted. i'm tired of seeing rude comments degrading serj tankian's voice after 2005 or so. nobody knows how to treat the man with some fucking respect. you can have your own opinions on a singer's voice but don't stoop as low as using ai to make it "better" for you. i stumbled upon an insta story using ai serj to replace DARON'S voice, with a comment like "this is so much better than the original" and it makes me feel so gross. how do people just SAY things like that?? so not only are people using ai to rudely "fix" serj's own voice, but daron's too. i don't know if the people who do this are aware of what kind of attitude this could spread. soad fans are already so ridiculously toxic about the singers' voices. i see a lot of fighting over what or who's voice is the "better" one, being straight-up mean to these singers, when it seriously just.. doesn't matter. using ai like this only makes it worse. stealing people's voices isn't okay, making people's voices say or sing things they haven't done isn't okay, and using ai to fix what isn't broken is just disrespectful. i am so TIRED.

there's something about the boss of Chapter 3 that's been driving me a little nuts, and I wanted to talk about it real quick (mainly because I think misconceptions have skewed everyones' perceptions of the character, and also because I'm curious if anybody has thoughts on this theory.)

Tenna. I feel like most people have fallen under the assumption that this guy is just gonna be a little television-headed gremlin man, and I mean, fair enough. after all, we did see that new T.V. in the September devlog that Toby posted, which would probably lead most people to believe this is our first look at the antagonists' head.

we also did have Photoshop Flowey in Undertale, who had a screen for a head.

it's even fair to consider the possibility that we'll be facing a PF equivelent in Chapter 3, considering the trash can full of flowers. but I think we can actually look a bit further than this.

having Tenna simply be some dude in a suit with a cathode head seems highly unlikely. looking at the first two "main" bosses of the game, the third one being a TV-head in a suit.. doesn't sit with me, and I think there's evidence to prove against this theory.

so far in this game, every time an object has been turned into a character, the object is the character's entire body. every part of the character is a part of the object they originate from. never just the head. Queen, in Chapter 2, who's presumably either a calculator or a library computer, does not have an object for a head. she is in full the object she is based on.

if we apply this same logic to Tenna, we start to see that there are other options out there that just make much more sense from a design standpoint. the top and the antennas could easily make the head, the actual T.V. and screen could be the body, and the desk it's on could form its' legs.

I'd also like to bring up the character's name. Tenna refers the top of the T.V. with the two antennas on it. why would Toby call him that? I think it's because this part of the character is the head.

so, taking all of this into the account, including all the other evidence of what Tenna will actually be like, here's a mockup I've prepared of how it could work.

or maybe we're all wrong and it'll just be this. who knows.
