Each day in Gaza feels like a battle to survive. The occupation has declared Gaza a "dangerous combat zone" and now threatens us with a ground invasion. We are terrified, knowing that any moment could be our last if we stay. Like so many families, we have been told to flee south but leaving is not simple.

We need a tent to give us even the smallest sense of shelter, which costs $450 . We need $200 just to reach the south safely. And on top of that, the 30% withdrawal fee (about $200), which makes our struggle even heavier.

Hey also we should care very much about what's happening with Lil Nas X btw. According to LA law, what he did (takin a walk in undies and cowboy boots) does not meet the requirements for indecent exposure and therefore does not warrant arrest. The claims that he charged officers were made without proper evidence such as body cam footage. If there is evidence, it has not been released to the public. Either way, his actions do not warrant four fuckin felonies including three counts of battery on an officer and one count of resisting an executive officer, especially considering that he was clearly having a mental episode (a fact which is also supported by his dad). Benefit of the doubt to the charges, an unarmed man is being wrongfully charged more than he should for alleged crimes committed in response to a non-crime. Realistically, he is facing these charges because he is a black queer man experiencing a crisis.

The idea that rural communities wouldn't benefit from public transit of some form is so fucking stupid. There was a guy in my hometown who would hitch hike 15 miles to the grocery store because he was blind that everyone knew and knew to offer rides to if they saw him. You know what else would have fixed this, been more efficient, and helped other disabled people, seniors, and people whose cars got repoed?

A crowdfunding appeal has been launched to help a 29-year-old Black trans woman who lost both her legs after allegedly being thrown onto NYC subway tracks by her boyfriend. A statement from the New York City District Attorney confirms that the victim and her boyfriend were at the Fulton St. station in Brooklyn when the man is said to have seen the oncoming downtown train coming and “thrown” his girlfriend towards the tracks. “The victim was rushed to the hospital, where both of her legs had to be amputated.
