Injury and Comeback
Tumblr media
(Photo Collected)
Every cricketer is familiar with the word 'injury'. There are very few cricketers who have been able to come back from injury and maintain their performance.  Mustafizur Rahman also suffered an injury : He was ruled out of the England T20 Blast in 2016 with a shoulder injury and was eventually kept out for five months. He was having a very busy time in cricket at that time and the fugitive injury has marked a clear dividing line in his career so far.
In 22 ODI's before the injury,  he took 48 wickets at an average of 13.08 and a strike rate of 15.8. In the first game since Mustafiz’s return, in December 2016, his average and strike rate doubled and he took 32 wickets.  In the IPL, he took 17 wickets in his first season for the Mumbai Indians but in 2018, he took only seven wickets for the Mumbai Indians.
It is clear that something was not right. Those who worked closely with Mustafizur Rahman could see this clearly. He was fighting to bring his offcutter from behind the wrist, a weapon that once made him a completely different bowler. The BCB has accused him of concealing the severity of his injury,  which has stalled his franchise T20 career and prevented him from cracking test cricket. It took some time for Mustafizur Rahman to return to his form. Mustafiz was the highest wicket taker with 10 wickets in 5 matches in the Asia Cup held in September 2018. Mustafizur Rahman was among the four bowlers who took 20 wickets in the 2019 World Cup. In the 2021 IPL, he has taken 8 wickets in 7 matches for Rajasthan Royals where the average is 28.
Mustafiz’s off-cutter, slow bounce, yorker and slow delivery at the event reminded him of that iconic Mustafiz.

The Art Of Cutter
youtube
In international cricket, bowlers with a speed of 120 kph have rarely been honored. However, if you do not have the speed to make sure to swing. The last resort without the pace and swing is the annoying slow bounce. Mustafiz has fast arm action and slow bounce, but is it successful enough against good batsmen?
At the beginning of his career, he surprised everyone with his basket of wickets against India. Not only India but also South Africa had to find one answer after another in his bowling. The only way to play his slow ball is to play offside targets which is not easy work. This is because his balls move sharply and jump strangely.
What causes him to have difficulty managing?
Fizz’s bowl is much like a left- handed seam bowler when it is a new ball. He tried to bring it back to the right -handers. The latest holds its odd delivery line and creates a kind of suspicion.  Every bowler likes to bowl with new balls. But Mustafiz can also bowl well with the ball used. Former captain Mashrafee knows Mustafiz very well and has a good idea about his real strength. As the ball got older, Mashrafee used him in some special overs and tried to keep the opposition hold down.
It is slow when Mustafiz breaks his wrist while releasing the ball. However,  this type of ball prevents the batsmen from playing big shots. Mustafiz’s slow balls move away from the right-handed batsman and in many cases jump. As a result, the batsman is forced to come forward. Most of his wickets have come from this cutter bowling style. As can be seen, he puts his fingers in the seam while seaming up the ball and when trying to change speed, he wants to keep a little cross seam. Mustafiz’s great yorker deliveries do some air swing. The ball against Andre Russel in the Indian Premier League clearly proves that. This yorker delivery will be remembered by the cricket world forever.
Analyzing Mustafizur Rahman, no one could hesitate to give him the title of 'Cuttermaster'.

Mustafizur Rahman To Fizz
youtube
The time was 5 years ago a boy from a rural village who was really good at cricket. His local coach Altaf knows the real player inside him. He tried his best for the boy and he was successful. It was 18 june 2015 it was his debut match day for Bangladesh national cricket team against India. He took 5 wickets in 50 runs. He was the 2nd player in Bangladesh cricket history to take 5 wickets on his debut day. In that series he was twice man of the match and he took 13 wickets and made a world record in 3 day matches of one day international. His performance was outstanding in T-20 cricket. He also played in Indian Premier League. Sunrisers Hyderabad won the Indian Premier League in 2016 and Mustafizur Rahman was one of the members of that team. Young Mustafiz also got the award of 'emerging player' in that tournament. Which was the first in the history of the Indian Premier League as a foreign player. But there was a little problem in his name. His coach Chandika Hathurusingha can not spell his name properly. He started calling him Fizz in the net practice and everyone started calling him Fizz. He has another name, also the 'cutter master'. His outstanding performance made him so special in the world. His extraordinary performance, his bowling style and every single thing made him special from everyone. It didn’t take long for this young bowler Mustafizur Rahman to become 'Fizz'. That is why it is The Fizz!

Mustafiz’s Smiling Face (Photo Collected)
'Cutter Master' Mustafizur Rahman was born on September 7, 1995 in Tetulia, Satkhira. He is currently one of the members of the Bangladesh national cricket team. Mustafizur Rahman bowls left-arm medium bowling. His heterogeneous bowling style has made a splash in international cricket in a short period of time. There is also an interesting story about Mustafiz’s 'cutter' bowling. Mustafiz’s 'cutter' delivery from time to time in net practice made it very difficult for former Bangladesh national team opener Enamul Haque Bijoy to play. From then on,  he started mastering the 'cutter' bowl well. Mustafiz’s brother sejo's name is Mokhlesur Rahman. He used to bring Mustafiz to Satkhira on a motorcycle for practice. The distance from Mustafiz’s house to Satkhira city is 40 kilometers. He also participated in the Under-17 cricketers camp. Mustafiz also had a chance in the 2014 Under-19 world cup. However, he did not perform as expected. Mustafizur Rahman was included in the West Indies tour in 2014. He didn’t have a chance to play there. Mustafizur Rahman didn’t have much speed in bowling at the beginning of his career. However, he proved his mettle by showing amazing performances in first-class cricket. Mustafizur Rahman entered International cricket from this domestic cricket. On June 18, 2015, Mustafizur Rahman made his debut in international cricket. Mustafizur's debut was due to the contribution of the then coach Chandika Hathurusingha. Mustafiz's bowling style has fascinated him. An unfamiliar bowler causes a lot of problems to the batsmen of any team. That is why Mustafizur Rahman made his debut against India.
