My biggest hope for the Oblivion remake is that it will be at least as moddable as the original, so the community will have a newer platform to express their ideas.

Because Oblivion is very generic in terms of worldbuilding, regardless of its iteration. I also think that it was one of the reasons bethesda chose to make a remake of it. I suspect they don't have the balls to remake Morrowind, for example, because its more unique setting might not sell as well as a more generic fantasy to a modern audience. Even though, in my opinion, it's much more worthy of being remade exactly because its setting is more unique, and because it didn't age as well as Oblivion in terms of gameplay.

Can't wait for all the people to say the remake looks "generic" when that was the exact same complaint people had in 2006 about OG Oblivion 😭
