Jeonghan (Seventeen)

ISFJ

Si: Jeonghan perceives reality through the subjective lens of sensations and psychological comfort. He soaks up all the details of his inner world and compiles how they feel, look, taste, sound, and smell. His Si dominance lends itself to memorizing numerous moments where he felt something specific, whilst comparing all of these moments in order to form a complex mapping of sensual experiences. Jeonghan has an expert understanding of what is comfortable, aesthetically pleasing, sensually pleasing, and how the physical world can affect ones mood. Si is the most human function. It’s how we integrate reality into our own subjective experience.

Fe:  Jeonghan creatively navigates the moods and feelings of those around him. He may try his hardest to gather people into groups, protect and promote the mood, while making sure everyone has a say on the ethics and feelings they desire. Ultimately, Jeonghan will feed his creative extroverted feeling into his dominant Si - so all the focus on maintaining group atmosphere and cohesion is supporting the need to understand complex sensual experiences.

Ti: Jeonghan may go through periods of time where he obsesses over how to best apply rules to the building blocks of reality. He may use these insights and judgments of logic to support creatively investing in a group of people or ethics (Fe). However, this function is rather weak, since it’s tertiary. Jeonghan will mostly use this to support the empowerment of his own Fe, and Si. Those around him who possess stronger Ti may compel him to express his Fe more often.

Ne: Jeonghan may have a difficult time imagining all the possibilities that exist around him.  He can sometimes be so focused on the present sensations, that all the possibilities are completely forgotten about. There may be moments where he experiences plausible objective intuition, but he will quickly forget about the possibilities in order to better understand the present. Those surrounding him who possess stronger Ne will inspire him to use Si instead of focusing on the lower functions.

Hoshi / Soonyoung (Seventeen)

ESFP

Se: Hoshi views the world through how objects, people, and ideas interact with one another in a visible and objective way. He innately understands how to energize someone into doing what he wants them to do in any given situation. Extroverted Sensing also lends itself to Hoshi’s highly skilled body movements while dancing, and unending push toward reaching his goals as fast as possible. This function dominates his personality - and he sees the world through how everything is interacting.

Fi: Hoshi organizes the world through how he personally judges the ethical correctness or incorrectness of any situation. He highly values relationships and how they can inspire him into getting things done through his dominant Se. Hoshi shows his personal feelings of others and ideas through his lyrics, interactions with fans, and highly emotive dance routines.

Te: Hoshi generally knows how to categorize the experiences in which his dominant Se perceives, but it takes some energy and focus to organize these into logical facts and rules that are objective. Hoshi will look into the world for extroverted thinking in order to support his inner values and relationships that he holds close, while attempting to efficiently push the bounds of that relationship forward. This function isn’t overly strong for him, and generally prefers to make decisions through his Fi instead - or rely on those with a higher Te function than himself.

Ni: Hoshi may have a very difficult time perceiving things in which he cannot directly see or have an affect on. Thinking of what’s happening based on context clues and a breadth of knowledge about something over long periods of time is an area of struggle for Hoshi. However, this sort of thinking inspires  his dominant Se, so those who are strong in introverted intuition (Ni) will naturally be drawn to him and vice-versa.

Seungkwan (Seventeen)

ESTP

Se: Seungkwan views the world through how objects, people, and events directly affect one another in the present and short-term future. He’s consistently aware of the power dynamic surrounding him, and what he or others must do to achieve a desired goal. His focus on succeeding through shear force of will rather than strategy shows his extroverted sensing dominance. Seungkwan primarily communicates to people through understanding what motivates them toward action. Se may also manifest in amazing dancing or choreography skills while appearing to remain calm and “natural”.

Ti: Seungkwan creatively uses his focus on internal logic (or introverted thinking) to decide what is true, or untrue within the framework of his Se focus. He generates new systems of logic to explain why the world operates around him in a particular manner, and actively changes these rules to match whatever is surrounding him at the present time.

Fe: Seungkwan goes through extended periods of time where he may gather information involving the atmosphere, mood, and emotions of his friends and fellow band members. He uses this focus to support new and exciting logical principles (Ti) that expand into his short term goals he’s set for himself (Se). Though, Fe is somewhat weak in him, he uses it to inspire further development in understand the world of extroverted feeling.

Ni: Seungkwan may rarely plan or look too far ahead into his own future. He may experience small glimpses of underlying patterns and ideas, but it’s hard for him to expand this into any form of nuance. Though Ni is his inferior function, he will become inspired, and wholesome when others who are good with introverted intuition share their perspective with him.

Somin (KARD)

ISFJ

Si: Somin perceives reality through the subjective lens of sensations and psychological comfort. She takes in all the details of her world and compiles how they feel, look, taste, sound, and smell. Introverted sensing dominance lends itself to memorizing numerous points in time where the user felt something specific, whilst comparing all of these moments in order to form a complex mapping of sensual experiences. Somin has an expert understanding of what is comfortable, aesthetically pleasing, sensually pleasing, and how the physical world can affect ones mood. Si is the most human function. It’s how we integrate reality into our own subjective experience.

J. Seph / Taehyung (KARD)

INTJ

Ni: J.Seph perceives reality through a nuanced understanding of patterns, hidden causality, and processes of elimination. His dominant introverted intuition (Ni) function examines all of the prior data of reality and overlaps it with future possibilities in order to understand the most probable explanation for phenomena. For this, J. Seph may appear mysterious, piercing, observant and airy. The power to “foresee” the future comes from their obsessive focus on time and comparison of events in order to see what is missing in any situation. J. Seph is focused on the information we cannot see, rather than what is in front of our faces.

Te: J.Seph applies pragmatic and consistent logic to his decision making. He may take on creative endeavors that require factual consistency, quick thinking, and results driven organizational skills. Though, he may not feel as pressed as an ENTJ to be proactive and productive. His auxiliary Te will always feed into his thirst for more knowledge that dominant Ni can perceive.

Fi: J.Seph may have moments where he compulsively ponders over the nature of his own subjective value judgments. He may look at his relationships, and try to decide what they mean to him, and ranks them on a hierarchical scale of importance. At the end of the day, this focus on Fi is solely to support his logical decision making in informing him of his next step. This tertiary function is not the strongest, so having a type around with higher Fi will empower J.Seph to feel more comfortable using Te.

Se: J.Seph may be oblivious the details of what is happening around him. This may also spill over into ignorance of who or what holds the power of force in a given situation. He may have rare moments of insight into his experiences with being thrown into roles where he must exercise power, and control over his surroundings - but this is still a very weak area for him  in his life. However, understanding and being around those who can use Se as a higher function will inspire him into engaging in his own Ni insights and ideas.

BM / Matthew (KARD)

ESFP

Jiwoo (KARD)

ISTP

Ti: Jiwoo sees the world through the lens of logic. She understands consistency, rules, and categories of everything around her. She may spend hours examining complex puzzles in order to assign rules and strategies of logic to apply to the mysteries that are constantly bouncing around in her brain. Though she understands how those around her may or may not follow the rules, at the end of the day she will always revert back to her own understanding of introverted thinking to make a decision. 

Se: Jiwoo directly faces her problems by understanding how a situation is evolving at any moment. She clearly understands how people must be moved or invigorated into action, and will do whatever she can to support her dominant Ti. She uses extroverted sensing to understand the motions of her body, and how to accurately express the complex understandings she has of the world through dance. 

Ni: Jiwoo may find it somewhat difficult to understand how things operate over time. She often uses her fascination with how something may evolve in the future, to support her strong logical understanding of the current reality. However, introverted intuition isn’t quite as strong as her first two functions - so when someone with strong Ni is present, she may feel a sense of draw to this person, since it’s highly valued within herself. 

Fe: Jiwoo may find herself obsessed with her work, and logical musings of the world that she forgets to understand the emotions, and ethics of those around her. She may find it hard to express herself due to her low understanding of extroverted feelings. However, she feels extremely comfortable being surrounded by those who encourage her to express herself and be included within the group. She likely feels a sense of awe, and appreciation to those who can express Fe, for it supports her complex understandings of the underlying rules and logic that determine human relations.

The  8 / Minghao (Seventeen)

INFJ

Ni: The8 understands reality through comparing the generalities of all of his past experiences to possible future experiences. His leading introverted intuition function examines all the nuanced patterns of reality and creates a map of the singular most plausible future. For this reason, Ni dominants can seem sort of mystical, shamanistic, and future-seeing. However, all this power simply comes from their broad understanding of multiple dimensions of time whilst observing the patterns of information they have perceived. The8 is hyper-focused on what he cannot see, rather than what he can. 

Fe: The8 creatively explores his and other’s moods, emotions, ethics, and feeling. He may try his hardest to gather people into groups, protect and promote the mood, while making sure everyone has a say. Ultimately, Minghao will feed his creative extroverted feeling into his dominant Ni - so all the focus on maintaining group atmosphere and cohesion is supporting their creative ideal vision.

Ti: The8 may go through periods of time where he obsesses on how to apply rules to the building blocks of reality. He may use these insights and judgments of logic to support creatively investing in a group of people or ethics (Fe). However, this function is hit or miss, and isn’t the strongest of INFJ. It’s mostly a way to feel more empowered into using Fe. 

Se: The8 may completely miss the details of what is surrounding or happening around him - while not knowing who or what holds the power of force in a given situation. However, understanding and being around those who can use Se as a higher function will inspire him into engaging in his own Ni insights and ideas.

Woozi / Jihoon (Seventeen)

ENTP

Ne: Woozi is highly skilled at understanding possibilities, and how any situation could possibly evolve in the future. Ne dominance lends itself to his personality by making him highly able to understand what people are capable of. He may come up with the majority of ideas that his band employs for concepts, since creativity is a very common skill held by ENTPs & ENFPs. Woozi is likely driven by his need to feel curious, learn new things, and let his brain run wild imagining all sorts of scenarios in any situation.

Ti: Woozi may focus on breaking everything down into its separate pieces and parts to understand the entire process of rules and functions that make things operate. He uses this ability to create new ways to understand reality, and feed into his ever evolving extroverted intuitive mind.

Fe: Woozi may have moments of clarity when it comes to understanding the feelings, emotions, moods, and psychology of others. He may use these spurts of inspiration to gather people, control the direction of the group, and accurately engage with others via their emotions. However, Fe is not a very strong function,  though it does encourage him to creatively use his auxiliary Ti to better understand how humans coalesce and relate to one another as a whole.

Si: Woozi may rarely understand the components of pleasure, bodily comfort, and sensations that accompany the aspects of introverted sensing. Since this is his inferior function, he finds it very difficult to pay much attention to the intricacies of personal taste, touch, smell, and feeling. However, when around those who are strong in Si, Woozi may feel inspired, comforted, and willing to put his dominant Ne to use.

Wonwoo (Seventeen)

INFP

Fi: Wonwoo is driven by his internal feelings, emotions, relationships, and ethical complexities of the world around him. He constantly looks inward to find out what it is he desires, feels, and values at his core. His main focus is introversion, and metabolizing all the information into neat little patterns of judgments that have formed from interactions over the scope of his life. For this reason, Wonwoo seems quiet, piercing, emotional, and studious. 

Ne: Wonwoo is heavily creative and open to new possibilities and ideas. He uses his extroverted intuition function to understand people’s potential. He may have a hard time looking at people’s bad side since he’s naturally drawn to imagining alternative possibilities for their behavior. With a complex inner world of emotions, feelings, values, and distinct ideological musings - Wonwoo uses this creative Ne outlet to express all of those deep thoughts.

Si: Wonwoo may find it extremely relaxing when it comes to exploring sensations, comfort, and the complex understandings of the body and what it means to be human. Though he doesn’t focus much on his tertiary introverted sensing function, it’s a great source of intrigue and growth to feed into his creative extroverted intuition. When others are around who are stronger with Si, he may feel a sense of comfort, and respect for that person. 

Te: Wonwoo may rarely ever think about the logical principles related to his value system. He may find it hard to get things done in a timely fashion, or understand the quickest route from point A to point B without directly experiencing it. Though he may be weak at extroverted thinking, he finds it inspirational and encouraging when he is around those who can provide Te to his dominant Fi.
