Storm (Xmen)
I loved the X-Men cartoon series when I was young, so getting the chance to work on this was a dream.
The main bodysuit was done in a faux stretch leather, I wanted something that was thick so it wouldn't be see through, but also had a bit of texture as well. The cape fabric was done in a stain. The shoulderpads have snaps on them, so the customer could easily take the cape one and off.
The X buckle files are from The Dangerous Ladies

Forrest (Fire Emblem Fates)
Forrest’s design was pretty unique, I got to play with a lot of different shapes and designs for this. The waist piece has light boning in it, and laces up in the back for an adjustable fit. The hip shield parts are a foam base, with a layer of worbla overtop it. The shields are attached to the belt piece, so the customer can easily take them on and off.

Ryne (FF14)
A relatively simple dress design but one I adore from FF14. I chose cotton for the main dress, but paired it with a chiffon sleeve detail, and neckline detail. So I could give it a more delicate look, while giving a little bit of fabric contrast, since the colors are so monotone.
For the boots, I added a small bit of boning in the top part, near the cuff of boot, so it had something stabilizing it and help it stay up while it was being worn.

Young Ocelot (Metal Gear Solid 3)
The structured military-like uniform was relatively simple to make, but I always enjoy working on a well constructed jacket. I chose a wool brushed material, something that would mimic what would have been used. But it was also comfortable for the customer to wear.
All the badges were modeled and 3D printed by me!

Midna (Legend of Zelda Twilight Princess)
I had completed this costume a while ago, but haven’t had the chance to post it. The bodysuit was something that was pre purchased and adjusted to fit the client, but all the other pieces were made by scratch.
All of the details on the cape and skirt were done in HTV. I carefully laid out each piece and ironed on the details. I’m really happy with how things lined up and how well they transferred. I have the cricut/cameo files for this project listed on my Etsy.
3D files were purchased from The Dangerous Laides.

Y’Shotla (FF14)
It was fun getting the chance to work on a complicated design like Y’Shotla, because of the amount of parts of her costume, I broke it down into a top and a skirt piece. So it would be easier for the customer to take on and off.
I chose mostly natural looking fibers for this project (linens and cottons) to match the look in the game. The bodice piece of the outfit has plastic boning in it for structure, and the back could be laced up for an adjustable fit.
Back piece 3D files are from The Dangerous Ladies.

Serph (SMT Digital Devil Saga)
I was really excited to work on this costume, I've been a big fan of the SMT series of games for a long time now.
For the base fabric, I use a neoprene scuba, something that was stretchy but was thick enough to mimic the armor like look of his outfit. The orange detail was done in HTV to keep things looking smooth.
I decided on doing the little rib knit details as one piece with the pants, to make it easier for the customer to wear, so they weren't stuck with too many layers. The gold medallion details were 3D modeled and printed by me, and made to be removable so the customer could clean the costume easier.

Trailblazer (Honkai Star Rail)
I love working on jackets, and with all the details that were on this costume, this was a fun challenge to take on. I got to use a mix of different fabrics, twill, cotton & suede all on one project. The undershirt was done in a knit fabric, something that would be light and easy to wear under the jacket, and give a good drape for the cowl.
3D accessory files were bought from IllustrisModels.

Link (Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild) I was excited for the chance to work on a Zelda costume, I haven't had the chance to make a Link costume yet.
His tunic was relatively simple, I chose a linen fabric since it made sense to have more natural looking fibers for his clothes. His cape is cotton for a similar reason. All of the belts and bracer was done with faux leather. The bracer had a foam base with the pleather covering it, to give it a
All of the details that are on the cape and tunic were done with HTV. If you're interested in making your own Link costume, I have the cricut/cameo files listed on my Etsy.

"Oh, lonely deeps and hollows. Are half a world, half a world away..."
I'm excited to show off my Princess Pluto cosplay! I was so lucky to be able to cosplay a full group with friends, and get these lovely photos.
The main dress was done all in velvet, while the back cape part was done with mix of organza and tulle to give it a full look. We were really lucky with the sundail, which felt so perfect for Pluto.

Feeling nostalgic, I wanted to share some of the older cosplay photos that I took at cons, old hall shots of cosplays I liked back then! Starting off with Otakon 2009, I'll highlight some of my favs but the full album will be here.
Please feel free to share, all photos were taken by me back then. It's been a long time so I don't know who the cosplayers are anymore, but if you see someone you know (or yourself!) please feel free to let me know or snag the pic!

More are on the gallery link!
That year I wore Lisa from Silent Hill (I'm the one on the left). It was one my first costumes that I had put together myself!

hi!! I've been working on making my own Chidori cosplay from persona 3 and you're one of the only people I can find that have made it before and I really like how yours turned out!! My question(s) are about the tank top part- how did you get the fabric to gather around the bust part? also, for the diamond pattern thing on the bottom, did you just straight stitch using black thread?
Hey there!
The fabric gathered around the bust was done with a ruffle foot, it ruffles your fabric for you. But it's pretty easy to do by hand: https://www.wikihow.com/Gather-Fabric-into-Ruffles
The diamond pattern was just top stitched down with grey thread! I used a tailor's chalk to trace out the detail and stitched over it!

I had spent so long before I finally sat myself down and watched anything from the Fate series, and I absolutely fell in love with Rin. I didn't expect to love her as much as I did.
I created a cosplay set for her, that includes the decal on her shirt, as well as a temporary tattoo for her command seal. I have them listed on my Etsy, please feel free to check them out here!

Gwendolyn (Odin Sphere)
I had originally started this costume in 2016, wanting to do a bigger build cosplay for myself, but I ended up scraping that work from back then and starting over from scratch. And I'm glad I did, because this attempt worked out much better then the first time.
All of the armor and feather pieces were done with foam, covered in a layer of cosflex & modpodge for flexibility, then painted over. I love the chance to hand paint anything, so it was nice to go in and slowly work on the gradients myself. One fun little detail, is that I used toy Captain America shields as the base for the hip wing details, so I could give it a slightly more curved shape.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The bodice I decided to make sure it was fully structured, so I didn't have to worry about a strapless garment slipping down constantly. It's fully boned, and the back laces up, so I can adjust it to my body easily. If you're ever going to wear a strapless garment, I highly recommend making sure the structure inside is built up properly, so you're more comfortable wearing it throughout the day.
Tumblr media
I used a mix of fabric and foam for certain parts, to make the armor more comfortable to wear. The bottom part on my leg is a type of spandex that has a metallic look to it, so it gave the appearance of armor. While the arm guard with done with a strech vinyl. I added wire around the edge, so I could shape and pose it how I liked.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The final result made me so happy. I think I could go back in and improve a few things, but otherwise this was a dream come true, cosplaying something that I had wanted to for years now.

If you don't understand polite requests to stop, it's not my fault if I'm forced to get a little...violent.
Re exploring Danganronpa again after a decade of not touching the series has been such a fun exploration. I used to read it back when it was on SA, but actually getting to sit down and play the games was a completely different experience. The characters I felt drawn to was different this time around.
I cosplayed Peko this time around, with my friend as Fuyuhiko. I can't wait to go in and cosplay more characters from the series. Her outfit was a basic school uniform, but its nice to have an easy project that you can just comfortably wear around the con center!

Tataru - Endwalker Vers (FF14)
I'm going to be working on a bunch of FF14 coming up, and Tataru here was my start into that for this year! She has such a cute design, and I got to make this for a repeat customer, which I love doing!
All the brown parts are suede, while the pink is poplin, the suede gives it a nice texture difference compared to the poplin. I gave the customer a gusset in the crotch area, so they would still have the full range of movement.
All the belts & the side part were done with a faux leather, so I could keep with the color matching on all t he parts. And the fur trims were all done with faux fur as well!
She had so many fun little parts, that all came together so well! I was excited when the customer had photos to share with me!

Been a while since I shared a personal cosplay, so I thought I'd share the revamp I did of my Frankenstein cosplay from Fate Grand Order/Apocrypha!
The original (on the left) was made in 2018/2019, and the newest one was made in 2022. There was a few issues with the original one, that I really wanted to fix up and made right. Sometimes you don't know fully how something is going to fit together, until you test it out.
I took the main materials from the original costume, and refit everything to my current body. I separated the top and skirt, and added in a lot more structure into the top. The original dress had a zipper in the back, which sadly broke, so I changed the closer to a lace up instead, something that could adjust with my body whenever I decided to wear this again.
Tumblr media
The biggest glow up was the accessories. I completely remade the neck piece and the egg. The neckpiece was done out of foam, that was painted and primed. While the egg was modeled and 3D printed by me!
The horn and bolts were all part of the original costume, I touched up their paint job and gave them a better base to sit on. The horn sits better on my head. While the bolts were attached to the headband. I added in snaps, so I could remove them for travel.
Tumblr media
My lovely friend @voxane put together the bouquet that I was holding, so I could have some real flowers to hold during the shoot I had, which was the perfect little final touch on improving this costume.
Overall I'm so happy with how this came out, I think it's always worth looking back at some of your old projects and seeing how you can improve them and breathe new life into them.
