William Birkin Headcanons

- An only child

- Extremely sloppy and rushed handwriting, he writes too fast. No one can read his notes properly, and it’s mostly rambling or points here and there. He’d remember something or think of something and note it down on any random space he finds on the page.

- He’s an asshole, very obviously flaunts his ego and thinks everyone is stupid. He doesn’t try to hide it.

- Incredibly defensive, especially about his work but just about anything in general, even if the point made was not necessarily an attack. He’d be quick to start an argument.

- Undiagnosed autistic, high-functioning (“Aspergers”). He doesn’t know it himself as he appears to be neurotypical and subconsciously masks well. One of his stims is the hand rocking in the gif above.

- Sleep deprived, he pulls long nights (even days) at work because of his hyper focus on his research. When he does end up at home, he’d often accidentally fall asleep on the couch.

- Coffee addict, even though caffeine doesn’t affect him much. It’s just become a habit, he drinks multiple cups per day.

- Paranoid that others are going to steal his work. He keeps his work to himself as much as he can and is too suspicious of others.

- Easy to annoy, he’s constantly on edge because of many factors. He’d snap if he were annoyed and isn’t afraid to bark back.

- When he is at home, he’d often be in his home office working.
