thinkin about kili (and fili, because someone has to keep an eye on his dumb brother) busting out of the dwarven afterlife and sailing to the undying lands to find tauriel, battling against various odyssey-type trials and tribulations set to them by the valar, who are sort of grumpy that these kids are breaking all the rules but sort of entertained by how gutsy they are.

in hindsight, i wish i’d thought of tauriel sailing to the halls herself instead because i don’t like the thought of her waiting around doing nothing, but it didn’t occur to me until i was like halfway done with this. oh well.
