Katar with Bhairava relief Mid-19th century. Bundi, Rajasthan, India.
Runjeet Singh wrote : The hilt is covered in sheet gold (partly worn), and decorated with stippled flowers. The overall layout and construction is in the Bundi style, and Nordlunde (2009) discusses this particular style of katar as belonging to the larger of two groups that were made in Bundi around 1850 A.D. A further hallmark of so-called Bundi katars is the floral arrangement we see between the grip bars. (via Instagram: Runjeet Singh)

When i listen to the forest i hear a few birds chirping in a distance, the wind hissing through the branches and the creaking of old tree trunks. It gives me confidence to know that nature is still alive.

Check out our landscape blog - https://ift.tt/2sGLyRv Spent four days hiking in the New Zealand backcountry. This is the remote Lochnagar reflecting like crystal glass on a completely wind free morning. [OC][3823x3016] via /r/EarthPorn https://ift.tt/37abEjd
