I actually love romance in fiction but I don't like romance as a genre because then the romance is all that is happening. I like when romance is the c-plot. I like when the two ppl bound to get together have many many scenes where their attraction doesn't factor at all. like coworkers also have to have meetings and best friends also have to do be able to have a chat and enemies have to have goals in conflict. I want to see two people have conversations that demonstrate their chemistry outside of their lust, and then every once in awhile as a treat they can't help but moon eye each other. pinning but also they have full lives. I don't feel like I get this very often unfortch
