When Eleanor said "find Chidi" in a desperate attempt to help a future version of herself, because she had no idea what would happen in the future, because she was terrified of her fate, because she was too panicked to have any thoughts other than that of the man who she knew for certain would save her in any universe. And when Chidi said "there is no answer, but Eleanor is the answer" as a moment of clarity, looking back at everything he knew as the best version of himself, because he had every thought conceivable, but the most important of them, the one at the forefront, was that of the woman who he knew for certain had saved him in every universe.

thinking about the open door to lena’s room and her pastel pink bed frame/headboard.

the rest of her apartment is so colorless and bland. it feels just like her office. she’s decorated it with things that are socially acceptable and reflect her status. her furniture is generic enough that nobody will dislike it. she’s already preparing for the possibility of judgement, even in her own home— making sure it’ll never happen.

but then there’s the pink bed frame and pink pillows.

lena likley would’ve wanted more pink things or at least more colorful things. something to reflect her personality (or at least help her discover what her personality is). something to show off her hobbies- if she’d ever been allowed to have one.

but even living on her own it never feels safe for lena be vulnerable like that. her mask always has to be on.

so the only thing that really feels like her, the only thing she has that reflects what lena wants, not what she’s been trained to want, is a pink bed that nobody ever sees- except the people she trusts enough to allow inside her room.

Oh don’t mind me, it’s just 1 am and I am once again thinking about how throughout the show Lena is constantly Kara’s grounding tool and and let’s her show the vulnerable side of her and keeps Kara from just going “full supergirl” and reminding her that Kara Danvers is important too.

How long do you guys think Lena and Kara just…held each other in Ace Reporter? Like did they talk when the scene faded or did they just sit there holding each other? Did Kara give her that forehead kiss? Did Lena tell her to go because she felt like she was being too needy? Did Kara refuse for a bit until she couldn’t stay any longer? Did they have small chats during this time?? Did Kara continue to whisper how much she’ll stay with Lena and protect her as her best girlfriend?? Did Lena refuse to cry the whole time or did she let a piece of her guard down with Kara? Did they make MORE promises??? HOW LONG DID THEY JUST SIT THERE SAYING NOTHING IN THE SILENCE OF EACH OTHERS ARMS???
