it's kinda comforting to me when my friends are a little annoying or longwinded or abrasive or tired and inarticulate, or they don't do the exact politest thing in every interaction, and stuff, because I know I'm sometimes annoying, or take up a more than my share of conversational space, or forget to ask them questions, etc etc, and... like, I'm always working to be nice to my friends and to get better and better at friend-ing, but it just makes me feel more human about it :}

oh i've been thinking about their music taste SO hard since i read the karaoke chapter

tamon listens to Everything.... like he definitely knows a little too much about musique concrete.... or like specific regional music scenes. type of guy to know the comprehensive history of Leningrad Tock. or bulawayo jazz. or gothenburg melodeath. or udigrudi. pop yeh-yeh. hamburger schule. mafioso rap. but he also keeps up with "mainstream" music or oricon charts or whatever. mf had kpop choreo memorized. i just know his family's vinyl collection is Stacked

when eugene asked him if he could sing western songs he said yes & also recognized the metal song eugene sang so i decided he can mimic accents pretty accurately & can At the very least sing english songs with a fluent accent even if he has no idea what he's singing. it doesn't make him any better at studying english but if you make him sing he'll lock in.

since mogari grew up with southern all stars i'd assume also listened to a lot of iconic showa-earlier heisei hits?? .... literally just listing off random popular artists bc i'm not Exactly sure what "old" music means to him but matsuda seiko, momoe yamaguchi, happy end, ayumi hamasaki, mr.children, b'z?? enka in general? but also speaking of happy end he probably knows the beatles

and since going to school & meeting fuku he might've heard trendy songs too
