Q. Who are you? A. I'm Kuin, also known as Tom. I'm 20 years old and going to school for Linguistics. My general/personal blog can be found here.
Q. How long have you been writing? A. I've been making up stories since before I could even write my ABCs.
Q. What is your favorite genre? A. I enjoy romance the most.
Q. Why don't you post your writing on FF.net, AO3, etc? A. I have posted on these sites before, but I only want to post certain things there. Most of what I'll be posting here are incomplete drabbles.
Q. Whoa, that ended abruptly/You just skipped way in the future! A. Like I've said before, I don't finish things often. If I don't like the way the beginning of something is going, I often find it better to just stop and leave it there as backstory and move on to a different portion.
Q. Do you like any fandoms? A. I'm into Sterek right now, but I get really nervous writing characters that aren't mine.

My Life as a Magical Girl FAQ
Q. What is My Life as a Magical Girl?
A. My Life as a Magical Girl (usually abbreviated as MLAAMG) is a story I've been brainstorming since January 2013. It is a spinoff of a Magical Girl anime/manga targeted at an older audience. The main character is a college-aged boy who finds himself following in his mother's footsteps as the Beauty, a guardian of the realm we live in. It's his job to keep all of the nasties from the Alternate Earth from coming to the Real Earth.
Q. Wow, that sounds weird. Where did you get the inspiration for this? A. Since before I can remember I've been in love with Magical Girl series's like Sailor Moon, Card Captor Sakura, and Pretty Cure. However, most of these titles are aimed towards children, so I wanted to try my hand at something at a higher maturity.
Q. Have you written any of it? A. Yes and No. The night I had the idea I stayed up all night and got about 14 pages in Word written. I didn't like where it was going, so that draft is pretty much scrapped. I've also written a couple of drabbles which I may post. Q. Who are the main characters? A. The characters are what I've been planning most! (Character names are probably going to change a lot. Just saying.)
Ben is a boy in his first year of college who lives with his father and his little sister, Alice. His mother died suddenly during his last year of High School, and they're all still recovering. One day he becomes the first male Beauty, following in his mother's footsteps, and vows to get revenge on what took her from him. He hides his identity as the Beauty from his team (besides Alice) because he's embarrassed that he turns into a girl when fighting to protect the Real Earth.
Alice is Ben's younger sister and adviser. She was trained from the time she was a baby to be the Beauty, as it is a hereditary role, but when Ben gained the gift she found herself responsible for teaching him everything he needs to know. She is very serious about her training, and is one of the only humans who is able to see the Alternate Earth.
Millie is a friend of Ben's from the college he's attending. She's very gifted at playing classical music, but it's her real dream to play in a rock band. She gains the ability to become Dischord, one of the Beauty's Graces.
Sasha is a beautiful news reporter for the local station, and has a passion for entertaining on TV. She wants to be the host of a Children's TV Show, but finds herself stuck in the position she's in. She gains the ability to become The Puppet Master, one of the Beauty's Graces.
Jenny is Alice's best friend who has a huge crush on Ben. She's a big tomboy and is often found hanging out with the guys, playing sports and video games, but wants to be treated like a girl, too. She does something or the other and becomes somebody, one of the Beauty's Graces.
Adam is a grad student at the college Ben and Millie attend. He has the ability to become the Heartbreak Prince, the sworn guardian of the Beauty. He doesn't know Ben or any of his comrades. (Think Tuxedo Mask).
Q. Are the Beauty and the Heartbreak Prince going to be a thing? A. Yes, but their relationship isn't going to be a main focus of the story, no matter how much Adam/Ben I write.
Q. When are you going to write the real thing? A. When I feel satisfied enough that the amount of brainstorming I've done will allow the story to practically write itself.

Hello! I'm Kuin and welcome to my writing blog!
I don't often finish what I write, but I'd still like to share it with friends and others.
I'm a huge romance junkie, so expect a lot of that here. I don't really write anything erotic, however, so don't really expect that. (There will be sufficient warnings if I ever post anything NSFW.) I very rarely write for any pairings that don't consist of two men. I'm gay, it's what I prefer to read and write.
