The Future of Transportation: Electric Vehicles and Autonomous Driving
There are a number of transportation advancements that seem to be light years away, but they could be coming to our roads and skies sooner than we think. From electric cars with the ability to steer themselves toward highway entrances and exits, to trains that can travel two times faster than aircrafts, there are some exciting developments on the horizon.
In the world of automotive technology, self-driving vehicles are getting closer to reality by the day. Cars that can automatically assess traffic situations and react to them have already been developed by companies such as Tesla, Google and Apple. This tech, called autonomous driving, aims to make cars more comfortable and safer on the road. It can also reduce the number of accidents and fuel consumption, lessening the need for highway patrols and emergency services.

Besides making your daily commute more comfortable and safe, autonomous cars can save you money on gas, maintenance and parking fees. They can also reduce emissions and energy waste by optimizing their speed and minimizing idling time. They can even help with logistics and supply chain management by communicating with other autonomous vehicles and delivering cargo to destinations on schedule.
