every time i start to feel cringe for being too deep in the hyperfixation i remember the intense depression i have waded through and have to remind myself that enjoyment is fleeting (so grab it with both hands), and life is for loving (so hold that love close), and if anyone thinks i’m cringe they must not be having a very good time (and i hope they can find a good time soon).

fandom etiquette reminders

gentle reminder that people do not have to like/ship the popular ships in a fandom. widely popularized ships do not equal canon ships and even if they were, people are allowed to have different pairings they prefer. if one fandom creator popularized things, it does not mean that every single other creator has to also do that thing.

please be respectful and considerate of the people making free content for your enjoyment as well - you never know whats going on on the other end of the screen to cause an author to not upload a new chapter or why the artist hasn't posted new art in three weeks. their boundaries are just as important as anyone else's and deserve to be respected as a basic human right.

if you're a minor, do not participate in 18+ spaces! this is for your safety as well as the safety of everyone else. if anyone over the age of 18 insists its okay for you to participate in nsfw topics with them, run. be careful with what you're posting online, too. you never know who has ill intent when interacting with you.

be also incredibly mindful that not everyone wants to participate in fandom discourse. proship/antiship discourse, ship wars, "what are your thoughts on [insert problem here]", - these are good and fun in their own respects, but can be incredibly distressing if brought up out of nowhere.

fandom is supposed to be for fun, and it isn't fun if its stressful and dangerous.

1 & 2 -> australia and new zealand

they have an interesting dynamic!! i just love energetic & calm duos, i think they would have fun adventures together (my fave chapter is the one that has the england cardboard cutout... he REALLY doesn't want to be there)

(P.S. aussie's antenna reminds me of a roach, he can never go away...)

3 & 4 -> switzerland and liechtenstein

they are just really wholesome!! whenever i see them it's just aww <3 i'm excited for their story in gangsta!!

i like a lot of ships because so many of them are just so good, some of my faves are (not in a particular order):

the ship that brought me back to the fandom! loners who find comfort in eachother <3 it's really cute! every date they're in, all they think about is "wow i wonder how i got here"

prumano

i think about them often, honestly the only ship i put many of my thoughts into. to me they HATE being stuck together, only to realize they actually like eachother. despite being everyone's 2nd, pru started paying more attention to roma, who is aware of this shift of attention but doesn't know how to deal with it due to his fear of attachment.

tldr: roma is always gonna be pru's no 1 <3

(one-sided) pruame

ame has a crush on pru when he was training him -> bisexual awakening. ame is probably the only one who really admires him while pru is just "heh" -> dense as fuck. i think they have a neat dynamic when they hangout.

Germania with Germany and Prussia as kids?

underrated family dynamic! i like to think germania is a tired, single dad who wants his kids to excel in school (to which they do!)

ger (germany) and pru (prussia) as kids is fun to think about. pru is REALLY excited to have a younger brother, like he walks ger to school everyday, invites him to everywhere he plans to go, even talk to him about his day everyday.

it gets kinda overbearing for ger due to the constant teasing and ruffling of hair, but he knows that pru really cares about him. i need to see more germanbros content uuu

my favorite potrayal is from a fic i read where the german fam owns their own mechanic shop to which both germania and prussia worked at while germany works in a reputable workplace

germania is proud of his smart and hard-working sons, though he wonders why they are very different from eachother.

Thoughts on micronations

i like them!! to me they're like an afterschool club that has a BIG long-term goal but they end up doing random things like hiding sweden's glasses for a week (sealand's idea)

i haven't caught up to the recent chapters about the micronations, but i heard that there's something about a convention for micronations which is an interesting concept
