Nigeria has no big cake to share anymore — Obaseki
Gov. Godwin Obaseki of Edo has said that Nigeria as a country no longer has a big cake to share as it was doing some 40 years ago. According to him, whoever wants to be the next president must be ready to bake a big cake for all Nigerians to share.
Obaseki stated this on Monday in Benin while addressing four People’s Democratic Party (PDP) presidential aspirants who were in Edo Government House, Benin to pay him a courtesy call.
“Forty years ago, we had a big cake to share but today that cake has disappeared.
“Whoever aspires to be the president of this country must be somebody that Nigerians are ready to give ingredients to bake a bigger cake for us all.
“For us in Edo, we are ready and stand for building a bigger, stronger and better Nigeria as we cannot continue the way we are today.

Nigeria vs Ghana: Super Eagles, Black Stars in final battle for World Cup ticket
The Super Eagles of Nigeria and Ghana’s Black Stars will settle scores at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium, Abuja in a delicately-poised tie
A mouth-watering clash is on the cards as Nigeria hosts arch-rivals Ghana in the second leg of the 2022 World Cup playoff.
This latest ‘Jollof Derby’ is a winner-takes-all tie as whoever comes out victorious qualifies for the competition to be played in Qatar later this year.
Widely seen as one of the fiercest rivalries in African football, Nigeria and Ghana will be settling scores at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium in Abuja in a delicately-poised tie after the first leg ended in a barren draw.
While the Black Stars are chasing their fourth appearance at the World Cup, Nigeria seeks a seventh World Cup qualification and the fourth in a row.
Nigeria has been at every FIFA World Cup finals since 1994 except for the 2006 edition in Germany.
The last time these two countries were involved in a FIFA World Cup qualifying was in 2001 when they finished 0-0 in Accra before Nigeria hammered the Ghanians 3-0 in Port Harcourt in July 2001 to qualify for Korea/Japan.
