Detailed oil painting on canvas from from the castle Cochem in Germany. High above is the castle and down the little nice city inviting to go for a walk through it. The size of this painting without frame is 60 x 60 x 2 cm and with frame 63 x 63 x 3 cm and it has a wonderful white wooden shadow gap frame. It was finished 6.11.2023.

Why is this painting standing on his head? Because I paint also the sides of the canvas. That makes I nice effect! I also tried another technique on this painting. Some painters use preliminary drawing before they paint, some also project the foto from which they paint on the canvas, so it is easier to preliminary draw before paint. I paint directly on the canvas, because otherwise my creativity is blocked. On this painting I tried to just paint a bit more directly the details. But I think I will do it like before. I prepare the background with the dominant colours and then I paint the details over it. Just as in the second painting you see here!
