New studio setup

As I started making music, I (like most people I suspect) just start out getting what gear they need at the moment and it gradually takes over some other space.  I’ve been wanting to build a dedicated space for making tunes, and this morning I saw this great YouTube video on the subject: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X-Q3kal3kq0

I knew right away that was perfect for my needs, so I ran down to Ikea and bought much of the same stuff. The result?

For the curious, starting on the lower left and going clockwise we have the Korg NanoPad2 and NanoKey2, Berhringer Xenyx 1201 Mixer, The Bastl Instruments Microgranny 2.5, Yamaha QY10, Korg Monotron, Pocket Operator PO16, PO 20, Korg Volca FM, MPC 500, and finally an Ipad Air 2 which is my main production platform and is used to sequence and record the other gear I have. In the rear you can kinda see the Anker bluetooth speaker I use for monitoring. I have a pair of Yamaha studio monitor headphones that I use when I need to listen with any detail.

This desk has a handy storage spot on top where I keep a Gakken SX150, a Behringer usb audio interface, Panasonic tape recorder, and miles of audio and midi cables with random adapters and whatnot
