So...this might be the first fanart of "Oscuro Bosque Oscuro" by Jorge Volpi, and it ended up quite well. I loved the retro filter that I used in the second image, it gives me mandela catalogue vibes for some reason.

SHADOW HAS BEEN LOOKING OUT FOR SONIC SO MUCH THIS EPISODE, LIKE,

HE DOESN'T MAKE SONIC FEEL BAD FOR TRUSTING NINE, HE QUESTIONS IT THROUGHOUT THE EP BUT HE NEVER HESITATES TO KEEP SONIC AWAY FROM DANGER OR GET PETTY ABOUT BEING RIGHT, LIKE HE DRAGGED SONIC FROM THE COLLAPSING CAVE BECAUSE SONIC WAS OUT OF IT FROM THE BETRAYAL,

HE REPEATS WHAT HE TOLD SONIC WHEN THEY FIRST WENT TO GHOST HILL, BUT DOESN'T PRESS ON IT, JUST REMINDS SONIC WHAT THEY ALREADY DISCUSSED BEFORE BECAUSE THE WORLD IS LITERALLY DECAYING,

HE TRIES TO REACH OUT TO SONIC (MAYBE GIVE A COMFORTING HAND ON THE SHOULDER) AND LET SONIC TAKE A BIT OF HIS TIME TO ACCEPT THINGS,

HE SNAPS SONIC BACK TO REALITY IN THE MOST GENTLE WAY SHADOW CAN,

AND HE TELLS SONIC THAT THERE'S STILL HOPE BY SAYING THIS, THIS IS ALSO HIS WAY OF SAYING "WE HAVE TO GET THE HELL OUT OF HERE IF WE WANT TO SAVE THEM",

HE CONTINUES TO WATCH SONIC'S SURROUNDINGS AND THROWS HIM OUT OF HARM'S WAY, LIKE HERE WHERE SHADOW THREW SONIC AWAY FROM THE PRISM DECAY,

AND HE ALSO CONTINUES TO STAY FOCUSED ON THE GOAL AT HAND AND SNAPS SONIC BACK TO REALITY MULTIPLE TIMES,

HE THINKS ABOUT WHAT NINE SAID WHILE BEING UNBIASED ABOUT HIM, UNLIKE SONIC WHO STILL HAS AN IMPRESSION THAT NINE IS TAILS DEEP DOWN, BECAUSE OF WHICH HE IMMEDIATELY REALIZES WHAT NINE MEANT BY THAT,

THE REALIZATION ON HIS FACE REPLACED BY ANGER AND HOSTILITY TOWARDS NINE WAS IMMEDIATE, HE KNEW EXACTLY WHAT NINE WAS PLANNING AND WARNED SONIC AND KEPT NINE AT A SAFE DISTANCE FROM HIM,

HE SEES SONIC TIRE OUT AND STRUGGLE DURING THE FIGHT AGAINST THE CHAOS BOTS AND DECIDES THAT IT'S TOO DANGEROUS FOR SONIC TO BE HERE IN THAT STATE,

HE TELLS SONIC WHAT HE'S DOING(in the most vague but fast way, like I don't blame him, this was time-sensitive), AND HE LITERALLY CREATES A TORNADO WITH HIS SPEED AND SENDS SONIC FLYING INTO THE PORTAL FRACTURE TO GET HIM OUT OF THERE (plus I just wanted to add that the tornados from season 1 were like so out of nowhere for me but now seeing this feels like foreshadowing because sonic tried to tornado shadow during a fight they had and shadow destroyed his tornado from within, but now it's sonic in the tornado and shadow is saving him, I am crying so bad),

SHADOW GETS GANGED UP ON DURING A FIGHT AND HE WAS TIRED FROM THE TORNADO AND THE ATTACKS FROM ALL SIDES AND BY SENDING SONIC AWAY FROM THE GRIM HE ESSENTIALLY BY DEFINITION SACRIFICED HIMSELF TO SAVE SONIC AND GOT THROWN INTO A FUCKING RAVINE, I REPEAT, HE FUCKING GOT ANOTHER CONCUSSION AND FELL DOWN A RAVINE AND IS UNCONSCIOUS, MY BOY IS IN A FUCKING CANYON AND THERE'S NO ONE THERE TO HELP HIM, SONIC PLS PLS PLS SAVE HIM SOON I BET NINE WILL TAKE SHADOW HOSTAGE OR SMTH OR MAYBE HE'LL SEAL SHADOW IN THE RAVINE (flashbacks to every time shadow was sealed in a capsule) OR HE'LL ASSUME SHADOW DIED, ANYWAY I AM CRYING LIKE ACTUALLY
