Critique of final work:
Our final Film “The Blade & the Butterfly” was a successful attempt at making an action film. According to me, the film stands out in terms of the story, however, the script does lack slight with over-the-top dialogue that could have been delivered better to fit the tone and the pacing of the story. The script feels rushed and does not feel complete. This can be seen as the film does not complete Andre’s story as he is not met with any closure. Speaking about the story, Sonia is the protagonist, however, her screen time is divided due to other characters.
Regardless of the pacing issues in the film, the story sets itself in a believable world. The fighting in the film works well. All the departments work well together to get the fighting alive. With shaky camera movements, fast-paced editing, Foley-filled sound design, and bloody production design, the fight comes out to be quite believable. However, I do believe the film and especially the fight scenes could have been more interactive with the camera. For example, the scenes could have been shakier at times to convey tension and could have supported the intensity of the fight with a sudden movement in punches, hits, or falls. I believe, and the cinematographer agrees, that the film could have gone darker, especially in the location of the fighting. However, talking about the cinematography, the dancing scene intercut with the fight was shot very beautifully and conveyed her performance brilliantly. The other technical aspect that was slightly problematic was the score. According to me the film needed a score throughout, or at least from the beginning to establish the tone of the film. As of now, the film score seems to be non-existent except for the last scene, and due to the nature of the film, this seems to make the film feel incomplete. However, I do enjoy the creative use of sounds in the first fight scene, where the score seems to build in from diegetic sounds such as trains and generators. The editor in the film has done a really good job in getting the pacing of the film right even though the script pacing was slightly weak. Last the production design builds the world very well, including the costumes. The only weak point of the production design is one of the axes, which seems less believable than the other and slightly takes you out of the film. From a technical perspective, the film feels well-made.
Coming to the performances in the film. I think the protagonist Sonia, acts really well and is such a joy to watch. The other characters, Andre and Kevin, do have good performances but their characters and performances do not interact with the audience the same way, Sonia’s character does. Now coming to the last climax scene of the film, I really enjoy the intercutting of fighting and dance, and does make the climax much more dynamic. But, as pointed out by our tutor, to which I agree, the dance could have mirrored more with the fighting. For example, when she kicks in the fight scene, the dance has a similar type of movement. The mirror between those scenes would intercut much more better if the film could have done that. I do agree some audiences might question the sudden change of tone in the film. For example, from the dance studio to the underground club, however, the sudden change of genre makes the film more exciting for me. I do think the choice of merging two genres into one makes the film more dynamic and creative. The subject matter of the film tries to explore themes of perseverance, resilience, and the pursuit of artistic expression amidst adversity. The juxtaposition of elegant dance sequences with intense combat scenes serves as a metaphor for the inner conflict and external challenges faced by the characters. The film does achieve, what it intended to be in the proposal stage, however, I do think there were some themes that did not come across as much as it could.
I think the action and the drama do come across well but the theme of pressure in the world of dance is slightly underplayed in the film. Initially, the film was to convey the toxic relationship dancers have with their craft, mirroring the intense fight sequence, but I think because of the duration of the film, those themes which I was very passionate about are not conveyed on screen like I wish they were. Reflecting on the look of the film, the film intended to come across as gritty and dark, but we shot the film with a normal exposure, therefore the shots were not dark enough, which kind of deviates from the theme of the film. Regardless of these points, the film was supposed to be about resilience and redemption, which can be seen from the very first scene. The protagonist, of the film Sonia, seems to be fighting from the very first scene, either with her toxic teacher or with the antagonist, Kevin. According to me, the film meets the appropriate professional technical standards except for the score of the film. I do think the score turned out to be the weakest link. The film does work effectively and satisfies the audience. The technical aspects of the film successfully force the audience to suspend their belief and enjoy the film. I personally loved working on the film even though the film has its faults. I think we pulled off a decent action film with very limited resources and a low budget. All the crew members gave their all for the film and I would happily work with them again.

Critique of Process
I made a film called “The Blade & the Butterfly” this semester. I was the director of the film. The film was about a ballerina kidnapped just before her big performance. This film was written and produced by Joseph, shot by Davide, edited by Ethan, sound designed by Casper, and production designed by Catharine. I chose to direct this film because of my background as a dancer and the genre of the film, action was something I wanted to try. The intention behind this film was to make an action film in a world of dance. My vision for the final climax was clear from the beginning, juxtaposing dance with our protagonist fighting the antagonist. The film was much hard work, where we had a lot of fight rehearsals to ensure safety and had to teach our actors about fighting for the camera. In retrospect, I would have liked more rehearsals for acting and getting the actors into character. I focused way too much time on choreographing the fight and ensuring it looked good on screen, however, this was my first time as well. Reflecting on the film, I do think we achieved what we aimed to do, however, there are so many things that could have been better. Firstly, I think the film would have been so much better if we had gotten one day more to shoot the fighting sequence, therefore the last fight would not have been rushed. I wish we had arranged a bigger location for the fighting sequence, as there would have been more flexibility in shooting those scenes. I am not a director however, I wanted to direct this film as a dancer. I was super confident that I could make the dance look pretty on the screen. Therefore, I had planned for the fight and the dance to inter-match with each other but that idea did not come out on the screen. I was so focused on how the punches would look on the screen that my planning for the intercutting came out weak which then could be seen in the film. I gave this film my all despite facing challenges, like dropping out of actors, making fake weapons, securing a location, and much more.  Another, decision of mine which did not transcend was the choice of music in the film. Due to the nature of the film, we needed the score to be ready much before the film so I could choreograph the dance and fight on it. However, the composer we found was not a very nice man and provided us with very mediocre music. I as a director should have not given in and should have asked for a new score, but due to the time limitation, I accepted the music which posed a challenge later in the edit. I am aware of the mistakes I made and, they have only made me more confident with my decisions. For example, I was advised not to use a white color costume in the end and was advised to shoot the scene differently however, I was very adamant on the ways I wanted to present that performance and I am so glad that I did as it came out prettier than ever. Reflecting on "The Blade & the Butterfly," I am proud of what we achieved while acknowledging the areas where we fell short. Each obstacle was an opportunity for growth, reinforcing my confidence in future endeavors. As a director, I am grateful for the invaluable lessons learned and the unwavering dedication of our team in bringing this vision to life.

EDITING PROCESS
Now we had shot the film and now it was time to edit. We already had planned that during the shoot, Ethan (editor) would not be on set so we get a fresh perspective. During each shooting day, Ethan transcoded the previous day's shoot so we could start the edit immediately. The first week it was just Ethan assembling a first draft of this film. As always we all hated the first draft because there were so many ways we could edit this film. Another thing I was not happy about was that Ethan was playing very safe with his cuts. However, my whole reason for doing this project was to experiment as much as possible. After the first draft, we had a meeting and I explained to him what we really needed. After this, he was so good. He started coming up with ideas to make the film more dynamic and after that, each draft kept on getting stronger and stronger. After the first week, I was with Ethan most of the day. I spoke to Ethan and he did want some more space, however, because of the time limit, I wanted to be on top of the edit as much as we could,. and I was glad that I pushed me being there because Ethan and my conversation made some really good ideas come alive. Now the biggest issue was the intercutting of dance and fight. We took ages to edit that. As mentioned in my previous blog, Friday was the worst day of the shoot and there were a lot of things that we ended up covering in the edit. Therefore, Ethan had to edit around bad performances or lousy punches. Hence, the last bit also was more of covering stuff than creative editing. Regardless, I think Ethan did a fantastic job in making this film come alive. We definitely had some disagreements on the edit table but I am so glad we had them, as it only made our film better. I loved working with Ethan, once again he did a phenomenal job and gave so much time to this edit.

Production Day 4
Alright after a kind of shity day on Friday, we had a break on Saturday and the next shoot day was Sunday. So we had one shot which was outdoors. I and Joseph had found the location by mistake and I really like the location. This was the kidnapping shot. However, we did not have the permission of the location just because there was no one to actually ask for permission. Joe had gone and asked a lot of people who that building belonged to button no one knew anything about it. We still decided to shoot that location with a very minimal crew and very little equipment. However, during moving equipment from Merchiston to the location we forgot the monitor. Therefore we did have a small problem. So we were using an ND filter outside, and for some reason, the ND filter changed a few colors which was super weird. Our blacks and greys completely changed the colors and since we did not have a monitor, we never noticed that until it was too late. We now have to try and fix it in the post but it was quite upsetting. It was quite weird because it only changed a few blacks and some colors. Again, In a positive aspect, we did learn something new and now know to check the ND but yeah it only changed that shot which is again very weird. After that shot, now had to go shoot the dancing bit. `something I was super excited for. We were shooting in the Merchiston drama room. So the lighting started to happen. The make-up and costume took a bit more time than what we expected but it was worth it. After this, it was quite straightforward. We shot the dance sequence and packed up for the whole shoot!!!

Production day 3
This day was the most important of all the days and the most stressful one! We knew this from way before and we always knew this was gonna be a tight schedule. Unfortunately, our most important day was the worst out of all the days. Anyhow, the camera team and HODs were called for 7am because we had to start shooting from 8am. It was such an early call because Gunnar had to leave by 12pm. The other issue I think we had was that the camera team was completely different from the first day at Caves therefore they were new to it, so that too slowed us down. However, we set up the dolly shot for the start, we were not ready by 8am, so we were delayed from the very start. Once everything was ready for that scene, we got started with the scene. I think from the very start we started to catch up on time, hence it kind of shows that in the performance as well. Anyhow we began with that scene. The other issue was also the availability of one of our extras. So Danny who was supposed to be in the scene throughout, told us a day prior that he can only be on the set for like an hour instead of the 4 hours. Therefore we had to change positions reblock and do the emotional scene first which I really did not want to do at the start. Also due to us having only one amaran and not enough time to keep switching lights there were some lighting continuity issues as well. However, we had to rush the scene and cut out a few shots to make the time work. I was not completely convinced with the scene but it is what it is. We shot that whole sequence in 3 and a half hours. Then we all took a lunch break. Later was the most important fight scene. We prepped for that, but again the whole sequence we had to cut shots which meant that in some places things would not edit. We had to cut down on some inserts which would help the fight flow well. The set-ups took way too much time than we should have. I just felt that we were constantly catching up on time. Then after a few shots came the shot of bleeding. We had a pipe that we had put through Eidean hair and then pumped blood with a syringe into the pipe which gave the effect of the blood coming through her head. However, I wish we bought better blood than the cheapest one as the blood we bought was really thick and we tried a lot but could not make it thin without compromising on the color. However, that shot took up a lot of time to get it right. It did look good at the end but not as good as I wanted. Anyhow, after that we were quite behind and Davide our cinematographer wanted to leave as he was having some discomfort in his teeth and could only get an appointment at 4 o'clock he did not want to delay it therefore he left around then. Now, I was going to camera operate for the next hour or so. This was a mayhem. I really really wish I did not have to do that because during that I was constantly talking to different departments and operating the camera, doing lights. This led to me not talking to the actors and unfortunately, this was really visible on the screen. There was a time when I heard 6 different questions towards me within 10 seconds. Anyhow I did shoot the next part but again I was not happy with the whole day at all. Just the vibe on the set was really stressful. I am just gonna cut to the chase now. We did the last shot of the film where she kills him then Gunnar came back and did the shot outside but by then we had to let most of the crew go because we already were quite behind. By the end, we had to let everyone go due to the long hours. The final packing of all the equipment was me, Davide, and Joesph. I was really upset with the day, again no one's mistake, just the actors' availability and the nature of the shots we had. Again seeing the positive side of it, I did learn a lot from that day. But by the end of the day, it just did not feel right.

Production Day - 2
Tumblr media
Day 2 had come and I think this day was the smoothest of all the days. We had gotten Angela's studio in Craiglockhart and I was so glad we got that location because we could not find any location for a while. Anyhow We had a call at 8am in the morning and everyone came, we got into the location around 8:45 and the camera team began their prep and I was with the actors rehearsing. We had planned to shoot by like 10 but I was a bit more relaxed because we had only 11 shots that day. This was also the day when we had extra dancers coming in. A fun story; the week before our shoot we could not find any dance extras. I and Joe were panicking so much. The weekend I messaged so many people in my dance community. The only downside was that I did not know a lot of ballet dancers cause I come from a hip-hop background. However, those messages did work! We ended up getting 5 extra dancers within a space of 2-3 days. I was so happy, cause if we did not have those extras the scene would have looked really dull. However, one of our extras dropped out that day, but we still had 4 dancers so it looked amazing. I and Eidenan practiced the dance and recorded a small video for them to practice. The first hour we just did, was the conversation between Eidean and Gunnar. For some reason, in the first half of the day, the performance was really weak. I do not know why, but after a bit, I took a break and took the actors to a corner and explained my issues, and they agreed. The lines were not the same for each take and the performance was not coming out. We all agreed to that and had a bit of discussion. I was so glad to have actors who were responsive and took initiative and someone with whom I could talk freely. After that tiny break, it was wonderful!!! Some of the best acting in the film came through. Once again, the day was quite nice and less pressurizing. There was dance and I just love capturing dance on camera so I thoroughly enjoyed it. All the extras did a wonderful job! In this scene, the only difficult part was blocking it. Because of the mirrors and lights, there were some things we had to compromise on but nite the worst. I broke the 180-degree rule purposely in this section as an experiment, so hopefully, that works in the edit. We shall see. Again, I was happy with this day. We all could breathe and have a bit of fun. But I do think it was a tough day for the actors. There were no major issues throughout the day. There was a time that the nucelase stopped working but except that it was fine. I loved shooting the dance studio and had a lot of fun at the end.

Production Day - 1
Alright, after hours of hard work, actor dropouts, and extra dropouts, the day was finally here. The first day of our production. Now as informed before, due to the actors' availability we could not shoot the whole scene in chronological order, therefore we had to first start with, Andre and the extras fight scene. However, the universe was not done with its surprises! The initial plan for the day was for everyone to meet on location at 9am. Joesph, Davide, and the camera team were going for equipment collection and until then we would do the rehearsals, makeup, and just have everyone ready. I and Bethany our makeup artist were the first one to reach there. As soon as we entered the location, we tried switching the lights on. But no lights. THERE WAS A POWER CUT IN THAT SPECIFIC BLOCK!!!!!!!! After two months of prep, a power cut was going to stop our filming. Well, that was not the time to lose hope. I told Cathrine to finish her production design of the wall with torches. Ivan, our 1st AD was looking out for them. I asked Bethany to set up her makeup table near the emergency lights. But the rehearsals and actors had to just sit now. Nothing was in our hands. We had not even started and were already behind. After waiting for a while, the power guys came and took about half an hour to fix something. Luckily as soon as our van came the lights came on. However, the van was also delayed due to traffic. We were bound to start at 11am but the lights and the Van of equipment itself came at 10:40am. Anyhow now was the time to go for it. I helped with anything and everything. I helped set up lights, production design, and whatever I could do. In the last half an hour of the setup, I went to the actors and explained to them the scene and emotions again. I think we were set to go at about 12;15. I called in for a crew rehearsal where everyone came in and saw the action of that scene. We had taken a decision, that for the fight sequence, I could call cut of course but with that, Actors can call cut if they feel unsafe at any point, 1st AD Ivan can call cut, or Davide if he feels the camera just came to close to the action. After the discussion and bried we were set to go. As expected the first few shots were really tough, but we managed. As we progressed with the fighting, it was now time to change the shutter speed!!! A few days before I had a think about shutter speed and I was not convinced that we could shoot at a higher shutter speed because we were still not too close to each other while hitting so on a higher shutter speed that would have been more visible hence, we decide to go lower and have a blurry effect. At first, we used 270 angles, and that looked really good. Then a thought came to my brain that we have been so experimental throughout the shoot why not go 360. I was kind of second-guessing but this was the time to try it. We did it and it looked really good. Hopefully, it edits well. Anyhow we did the whole sequence of fighting and there were blood bruises. It was going well, until the last shot when we did the final take of that shot we realized that we had made a continuity mistake. I am not gonna reveal it, but there was a small mistake for which we did come up with a solution but was really stressful for a couple of minutes. We had now finished our first fight scene and no one got hurt! To make a long story short after the fight scene we shot the conversation scene between Sonia and Kevin. That went well, we had to cut down on a few shots due to time but other than that it was a good and tiring day.

REHEARSAL DAY ON-LOCATION
Alright Alright Alright!!! Our first day, the rehearsal day was on Tuesday, 12th of March. This was also the day we wanted to do the production design. Our main concern with the location was the huge Mirror
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This was posing us an issue, so we decided to include it in the production design and Cathrine made it seem like a wall with posters. It was a lot of work and she did such a good job on it! Luckily enough for this location, the main bit was the mirror, and then it was the placement of props, removing the furniture, and just making this small place a bit more spacious. The production design team was working on the mirror and until then, I was running rehearsal with the actors. The day was not that long but it was really tiring. This was because all the actors knew the fighting action but were never in location. Therefore we ran into some problem. The location had a colum ion the middle which was unfortuantly a huge problem for us. This made us change a bit of movement and action. However, we did what we could the best. We ran with the actin multiple times and I explained it to some people who came in. This was the first half where it was only the extras and Gunnar (Andre). At 12 the extras left and my other two actors arrived. From 12 to 1-1:30 we did the rehersal for dialouges. This was so much fun cause we all got a break from moving about and got a breather. Around 1:30 Gunnar left. Now was the time to rehers the action sequence between Euan (Kevin) and Eidean (Sonia). This ran until 4pm where we blocked everything and fixed any issues we had. The day was fine but I did make a misatke. So the day before I told that I and Cathrine will be there from 9am to 4pm and I want all the HODs to come for atleast an hour or so to see the action between then. Everyone was there, however, I should have given a specific time to all the HOD's to come and see the fight together. What happened was everyone came on diffrent times and I had to explain the action sequnece multiple times. Due to this I had very limited time to explain the action and rushed through the explaination. I perosnally think the HOD's did not completly understand the Action which could then be seen on the shooting days. But I completly am to blame for this! Never the less I learned!

Tutorial With Andrew
Just a few days before our shoot, I asked Andrew for a tutorial just to go through some ideas I was not sure about. I met him online on Friday, where we discussed the film. My main confusion was playing around with the shutter speed. I did not just want to shoot the film on a 180-degree shutter angle because I have been really wanting to experiment with the camera. The initial plan was to test this way before, but just because of all the scheduling we never got the time to. Anyhow, I discussed this with Andrew, and he explained so much about it. He suggests, definitely changing the shutter angle as a lot of fight scenes do not shoot at 180 but shoot at 90, which means a higher Shutter speed. I took note of this. While explaining this Andrew explained how the shutter angle works and OH MY GOD!! I never knew that the shutter angle works opposite to the shutter speed, which means if you take the angle higher that translates to taking the shutter speed down and vice versa. I was so furious with myself, that I did not know that very basic, but again, that is why I am doing this whole film. To experiment as much as I can. We spoke about the shutter angle for a bit and it gave me more confidence about changing the shutter to what fits right to me. After this, my other major concern was, LIGHTS! As per discussion with Davide, he was just planning to use tungsten, however, I really did not just want one color, I kind of wanted to create, or at least try and create the bi-color image which most action films use. We did have a lighting plan, but it was just meant for a tungsten look. Upon further discussion, Andrew said that we should use the polcat. Why did we not think of that!!! Anyhow, we discussed putting up Amaran on the Polecat. That was a game changer, and it made the shoot at least more dynamic. Further, we just spoke about the film and about trying things out. I am so glad I had the conversation.

Prep work and costume
As you know now, we had an actor drop out. Our whole schedule changed!! I really wanted to shoot the fighting sequence in order, but now that was not gonna be possible. Therefore the budget we had for costumes, doubled in a single go. Due to the use of blood, we now had to buy two pairs of costumes. This was a huge headache since we were already on a tight budget. However, our amazing production designer made it work. This was the week when I was going to Glasgow getting the axe, talking about costumes, and Cathrine then was going and buying them. We had already bought the blood but I wanted a syringe and a pipe, so we ordered that from Amazon. Basically, all the small and big things for production design were arranged this week. Then we also did fittings in the last week of the wings which were so pretty but we did have to do some readjustment to make them look flowy but I was happy with them. We also did a shot listing and I made floor plans for the choreography which I will share in a different post. We all were just preparing all the paperwork and getting everything for the shoot.

AXE COLLECTION
So, funny story I went to Glasgow to collect our axes for the film. I was really excited as we had a lot of problems of finding someone to make an Axe for us but we did, also 2 axes. However, I went early morning to Glasgow to collect the Axe from Cue Props. They were so nice and we had a long chat about props and the film industry. Anyhow, they gave me the Axe prop which looked brilliant, but there was one problem I never got a bag to put the Axe in!! So in the city of Glasgow, I had to carry a real-looking Fake axe with me. Trust me I got a lot of looks and unfortunately made a lot of old people uncomfortable. As soon as I reached the city center, I went into Tescos and bought a bag and put it in that bag. I was just glad that the police were not called on me, but again I was in Glasgow so its fine!!!

Drop out Disaster
After the long rehearsal, almost 9 hours, I and Joesph were super happy because this was the first time in the whole shoot we felt so happy and confident because now everyone knew the fighting, and our major work was out of the way. However, having a shoot and not having drama?? Impossible!!! The next day, I got a message from one of our main actors that he had to drop out because he was getting a paid job during the same shoot days we were shooting, which was not just like 11 days away. My heart sank!! I called Joesph, and as we live together, we came and sat in the living room and thought about what we could do now! All the rehearsals, all the practice gone down the drain!!! During casting, we had shortlisted another actor along with Paul. He was a Napier student and a good friend of ours, so we contacted him again. Luckily he was board, but there were a lot of scheduling issues as, some days he could only make specific times. However, he was a brilliant actor and was ready to give time for rehearsals. We said yes to him and now at least we had the whole cast. I was still a bit scared because now I had to teach the whole choreo of fighting again with very limited time. Further, we did some rehearsal with him and gave him the rundown of the scene. I also then did the fighting rehearsal with him and he did struggle a bit but at the end, I was quite happy that he got it. There was another dropout as well, one of our extras dropped out, however, I was worried about it but I knew joseph would get someone on board. The last two weeks before the shoot was filled with surprises, but I am just too grateful for the team I have, because everyone was so supportive and I just think we all had each other's back. I am not a director or at least not a good one "yet", I am still learning about direction every day, but having a team like I have now, is just bliss!!

LONGEST REHEARSAL I HAVE EVER HAD!!!!
So the last two rehearsals were going through the script and practicing camera punches, now was the time to start the choreography of the fight and the dance. This was by far the longest and the most tiring rehearsal I have ever had. So the script is divided into two fights and one dance sequence, therefore we divided our rehearsal into three different timings on the same day. I started the first rehearsal at 12 o'clock, for the fight between Sonia and Kevin. Since we did not have a fight coordinator I did all the choreo of the fight by myself. So we focused on that fighting scene for 3 and a half hours. Once we completed that, we scheduled our ballet choreography right after that. Our ballet teacher Anya came and taught our Eidean the choreography until like 4:30. I was super happy with the dance and it has started to come together finally. After 4:30 our actress left and then it was time for the 2nd fight scene between Andre and the extras which was more complicated and tough as it was more people involved. That happened from 5pm to around 8:30. By the time I and Joseph left it was 9. So ultimately we pulled off a 9-hour rehearsal day. It was super tiring for all of us. But I was super happy by the end of the day as now everything was done and taught. The rehearsals looked good and I was tension-free. But the universe had different plans for us and a disaster occurred the next day, which I shall reveal in the next post!
These are the rehearsal videos we took

SUMMARY OF THE PITCH
We all have been preparing for the pitch for a while now and now it was time to bring everything in the pitch together. I and Joseph from day 1 were speaking about safety and have been researching for a very long time. I looked on YouTube and every possible site on how to shoot a fight film and Joseph focused more on the budget and safety. I watched a lot of videos to fake a fight scene. We all have worked towards making the film, therefore we all were on the same page for the look and feel of the film. Seeing the nature of the film, and the importance of conveying safety to our audience we decided to make a safety video of the fight scene. Unfortunately, our actors were not available for the shoot as it was very short notice. Therefore Joseph and Casper decided to fight. I had already choreographed with Joseph and just had to teach Casper. Scheduling for that was a headache as getting everyone at the same time was impossible. Therefore we only got to shoot from 2 to 4. I and Davide collected the equipment before and started to set it up. We had my camera to shoot the BTS and how we were doing it.  Davide also got to shoot with Ursa and practice how we could shoot the film. We had Saskia for the test shoot as our AD to see if everything ran smoothly because Joseph was acting. We shot that and presented it as our safety video. I further wrote my director statement on why am I the right director, and other than that everything went quite smoothly. In retrospect, I and joseph focused way too much on the safety note which was of course necessary however, due to this we did not have enough time to explain the story very well and the pitch came across as if we were making just an action film However, I say that the film is crime drama as a lot of it is also occupied with the dancing element. We went slightly over time and I was not very happy as we could not show the mood film which Ethan worked very hard on. I think we as a group need to learn how to convey our point concisely. The positive point was that we covered most of the safety pointers there were no questions about safety but there were questions regarding the story which were justified as we did run quite quickly from the story. I feel the pitch was a really good experience and a good opportunity to stand up in front of a crowd and speak your idea. SAFETY VIDEO
