Guide to composite charts

The composite chart is a method used in astrology to know the dynamics of a relationship and to know both the positive ones and those that can be worked on. The method of midpoints is used to create this chart, since it is a way of "mixing" or "joining" the energies of the planets of both people to see how they get along with other planets, this with the purpose of seeing their dynamic, as previously stated.

🟫What’s the difference between a Synastry Chart and a Composite chart?

The clearest difference is that in the synastry chart we use two charts, yours and the other person's, while the Composite chart is a single chart.

In the synastry chart we compare your natal planets with the planets of the other person to find out how you get along as individuals, on your own without needing to be in a relationship. While in the Composite Chart we study the dynamics of you as a couple/relationship of any kind. It tells us about the way the relationship works and possible problems that may arise.

Venus / Moon / Mars synastry  (conjunction, square)

Venus conjunct Moon synastry is considered a true love aspect. If at a tight orb the love will be mutual and likely emotionally fulfilling.  Both parties tend to be very sweet to each other. It can be sickening to outsiders sometimes. They very much understand each other’s emotional and security needs. They enjoy doting and spoiling one another with back rubs and gifts. They are each other’s side kick and best friend. They care for each other deeply, and selflessly. The Moon finds beauty and warmth from the Venus. The Venus feels greatly understood and nurtured in return. Long walks, hand in hand and cuddling. They look into each other’s eyes and feel their spirits lift. Simply being in one another’s presence heals pain. It feels as though they are wearing a favorite comfortable sweater. They are a classic and romantic pairing. In non-romantic relationships this aspect will still be good to have.  They joke around and behave goofy.  Venus feels like being romantic with the Moon. Venus is the feminine and Mars is the masculine, so together they have found their ideal match. They view each other as the mate they always wanted. Mars is compelled to touch and flirt with Venus. They really like to touch one another, especially early on in relationships. They may feel like they haven’t been as fulfilled in the bedroom before they met each other. Mars is usually the initiator and behaves like Venus’s knight in shining armor. They feel compelled to win Venus over. Their interactions in the initial beginning of the relationship will be emotionally hot and perhaps feisty. There can also be interactions to do with manipulation. The Mars person can physically manipulate or be more aggressive which makes the Moon cower back. Overtime the Moon will fight back which is where the square energy really comes in. They can feel like the Mars is emotionally abusive in some extreme situations.  Normally however it can just simply be the Mars teases the Moon, and finds them to be overly sensitive.  They sometimes wish the Moon was not so sensitive. Persephone in opposition to planets or other asteroids can indicate a situation where opposites attract; the loved one functions as a pillar of strength or a power struggle can emerge i which the planet person comes out as the victor an imposes their will, a la Pluto, on the Persephone person. Of course! Finding soul-connections in charts must be one of my favourite past-times to do. Here, allow me to share what I’ve concluded so far, let’s start with asteroids.

ASTEROIDS

These asteroids must touch an inner planet in order to consider it’s powers effective and more pronounced. I’d suggest a tight orb between 0-3 degrees. (Asteroids don’t carry as much “power” as inner planets do, that’s why the orbs must be tight to trigger a reaction from the two.)

Valentine- (447) Asteroid of pure love. Valentine is the kind of sacrificial love  in which  the lover will throw himself in front of the bus to protect his beloved. 

Eros(433) Asteroid of erotic feelings, indication of sexual attraction at first sight of touching your rising.

Ceres- (1) Asteroid of nurture and care. It also shows unconditional love, parenting-like love.

Child (4580) Asteroid of the inner child. Pure, untouched, unfiltered, raw, and innocent love.

Juno (3) Asteroid of marriage, seeing the other person as their spouse, their closest lover. A spouse as in staying with the person through thick and thin.

Alma (390) Asteroid of the soul. If Alma touches a personal planet it signifies someone who sees their other half in you, wanting to know you on a deeper level, into your soul.

Karma (3811) Destined to meet due to karmic dues in a past-life, unfinished business.

Psyche (16) Unconscious attraction to the other person, feeling like you’ve known them from somewhere.

Amor (1221) Amor expresses a loving kindnesss that is given without judgment or expectation of return.
