( ft. @taesuks ) there were many things that made haneul happy. from those sudden reportages in random places of the huge city that was seoul to the tiny but rather pretty smiles with which her mother received her from time to time. she enjoyed all the things she had and did, but one of the most dazzling were the flowers, specifically the roses. on her way to work there was more than one flower shop, she usually wouldn't mind going to any of them, haneul was organized as she was spontaneous when she wanted. but that one flower shop called her attention in particular. it wasn't necessarily because of the flowers, nor the arrangements with which they were delivered. it was something else, someone, actually. he had the most perfect eyes, a warm bright smile, and his voice— wow she was just speechless. he was the only reason her visits became more constant and her house was filled with white roses, because yes, she always bought the same. “ hey, i was wondering if you were already open ” she said, poking her head through the door.

( ft. @acxisms ) haneul had always had a good relationship with the people around her, whether they only exchanged a few words or were the female's most valuable friends. she, herself accepted how awkward she could be to approach new people, and how tired her conversations started to be for the others when she turned a little joke into a lecture. no matter how weird she might look in the eyes of the rest, there was not a single person she knew that didn't like her, even the slightest bit. haneul liked thinking that she had left the best impression of herself on people. but sometimes, she just wasn't sure if she could trust everyone. insecurity was the worst feeling she had ever experienced, even more than sadness, it was horrible.

if there was someone she cared about no matter what, that would be ace. the dancer was an irreplaceable friend, sincere and she connected with them in instants. she was usually protective with them, she wanted them to always stay healthy and never go through the things she had to. haneul never really complained about her life, at least she didn't mean it, but she couldn't say it was easy.

” i can’t believe I’ve been up all night worried sick! “ as she said so her hands fell to her hips. they both had busy lifes but they always found enough time to see each other, and one thing haneul expected was punctuality. ” you were supposed to be here hours ago and i started thinking something bad happened. “ she looked back at the clock, maybe she exaggerated a little... no she never exaggerates. ” you know, it's okay — just don't do it again please. “ she said, defeated, she couldn't get mad at ace.

 ◜    * . ✧ ˙ ˖    ——  melodies danced,  b l e e d i n g  from earphones ( which were slotted in ears, verging the touch of ear drums ), as the tapping of steps, matching the tempo of the current song selection, carried his petite frame down city streets. laps of a warm breeze brushed at pale flesh, as onyx hues explored surroundings ( welcoming the view of strangers bodies, passing, the whirs of hues, through distracted frames, consumed by electronics or neighbouring expressions —— muse sourced ), the lapse of attention drawing startlement, at the FROZEN frame adjacent his own — a recognizable stranger.  “ y-you, ”  a wavered breath emitted, paranoia alight, as a stumble backwards f o r c e d  distance ( just in case ), “ are you — are you f-following me? ”

“ what? me? following you? ” she snorted. was he accusing her of such nonsense? at her own work? the joyful features faded from her face. she was more surprised than anything else, she still couldn't believe what was happening. she crossed her arms and took a few steps toward him. the last thing she needed was to make a scene and let the rumors of the reporter creating drama in the middle of the main aisle being heard by her coworkers before the compliments the boss gave her a while ago. she couldn't imagine how embarrassing that would be. “ i don't know who you are and i have no reason to follow you. ” she lowered her voice. “  i have a feeling you're a pervert. ”

✧ — Hyorin laughed. “More like a fight there, lovey but not far off. I usually clean up but it’s dark enough.” True, she cleaned herself before leaving but if it was dark enough, she’d wait until she got home.

“ wow, i can see you're brave, i would have probably just run away. ” she admmited, touching her bottom lip. imagining someone as pretty as her fighting was difficult for haneul. “ but are you sure you don't need help? do you live far from here? i can walk you. ”

( ft. @vnki​ ) haneul loved compliments. nobody can resist to smile when receiving them from one of your superiors, and unexpectedly, this was her lucky day. haneul was for sure the most hardworking employee of her area, she knew that, she wouldn't miss the opportunity to brag. she was in the first floor of the sbs building, her gait was quick she couldn't wait to tell her coworkers, but at that moment, it was harder to hide her happiness. her movements became playful, she spinned around while walking until her eyes met a familiar face. “ you! ” she stopped abruptly, pointing him. haneul already lost count of all the times she has met him. who was him? perhaps a stalker?

✧ — Hyorin was simply sitting in the park, looking at the moon as it’s light shined on her bloody hands and face. What a fight eh? She sighed as she leaned back against the bench. Noticing couples go by and cars but her eyes were trained on the moon. It was beautiful. “I wonder if the man in the moon hates me…” her soft spoken voice said to no one in particular.

haneul had this one rule: don't approach anyone. following it wasn't that simple, she had to deal with people, news and gossip every single day without getting exposed. but sometimes, she couldn't help but feel lonely. walking alone in the park when she was supposed to be sleeping was something she wasn't used to, she had to broadcast an accident that occured nearby and somehow, she didn't want to go home. “ oh my god ” she said without even thinking. a female suddenly captured her attention-- was that... blood???  “ were you involved in that accident? are you okay? ” she was about to give a step closer but maybe it wasn't a good idea.

how does your muse talk? since haneul is the one that deliver the news on tv she usually talks clear and fast, it’s weird that she makes any mistakes when talking. jinae in the other hand, talks slow and can’t keep conversations for too long.

*✧･ — woah, was that ⸤ kim jisoo ⸣ i just saw walking around seoul? oh, never mind, that’s just ⸤ kwon ha neul ⸣. they’re a ⸤ twenty-two ⸣ year old ⸤ reporter ⸣, known around the city for being the ⸤ hapless ⸣… i guess that’s because of their ⸤ independent & organized ⸣ tendencies, though, be warned, they are also rumored to be ⸤ nasty & dishonest ⸣. this particular ⸤ native ⸣ identifies as a ⸤ heterosexual cisfemale ⸣, using the pronouns ⸤ she/her ⸣.

so let’s get started

haneul is the result of an affair between a reporter (song myunghee) and the chief operations officer (kwon jimin) under the same company.

jimin, besides having a position and a salary higher than hers, also had a family at home to take care of.

his wife eventually discovered it when myunghee became pregnant, and likewise, the rest of the company.

none of them were happy with the news, neither her own parents, so, to protect the company's reputation and trust both were fired.

jimin end up divorcing as well, and they went from living a luxurious and comfortable life to barely having enough money to survive.

all the blame was on haneul. they didn't like her even a bit, but at least they were good parents to her.

everything was "alright" until she became 7 years old, then her father couldn't resist it anymore and started acting violent and dirty. he was horrible with her mother, but he was even worst with her.

let's not get in details with that, but let's say she was mostly verbally abused. that kind of experience was a lot more painful for haneul than of what one might think.

when she was 9, she started losing a few of her memories and forgetting things more easily. she continued like that until the point where she dissociated herself from her traumatic past, that was too painful to assimilate with her conscious self.

haneul had absolutely no idea of what was happening or what was going to happen, so there was no way she could tell her parents about it, and even if she could, they didn't care enough to listen.

no matter what, they were haneul's role models. they seemed perfect to her, especially her mother, she desired being a reporter just like her.

she worked hard for it, she studied, she went to interviews a million times but she always failed. why? haneul was just too shy and too insecure. they were looking for someone confident who would act naturally infront of a camera. 

but, this one day, she was magically accepted.

haneul, struggling to remember a lot of her past, instead, developed a new personality that was the complete opposite of her. she was someone that had everything that haneul was lacking, including those lost memories. 

as soon as haneul experienced what having split identities was like, she rushed for professional help hoping that no one would ever find out. they decided to call personality number two heeyoung.

heeyoung, for some reason, did the audition one more time and hooked everyone with her charisma. she was addictive, a few said. but, was heeyoung trying to make haneul's dream come true, or she just wanted to demonstrate she was better than haneul could ever be?

so haneul got the job, but rather than excited she was concerned. what if someone realized what was going on?

she wanted to quit but she kept the job. she loved it no matter how stressful it was for her. but all that pressure created another personality, the depressive one, better known as jinae.

(note: haneul has no idea that heeyoung and jinae know something that she doesn't)

soooo, right now haneul is doing her best to keep her job and make her parents proud while keeping her disorder a secret. it would be a shame if the other personalities thought otherwise. 

and well, haneul is really sweet but she's distant when it comes to strangers. she's also hardworking and responsible, always there to give a hand!
