Ms Hanleyasked Three Friends - Including Mr Kinneavy - From The Corr Na Mona Area To Give Evidence At The Hearing.
Margie Hanleyand estranged husband Michaelwho used to share a home in Wentworth, Surrey, both want a property they jointly own in the village of Corr na Mona. They have staked rival claims to a judge at a public hearing in the Family Division of the High Court in London over the past two days. Mr Justice Holman is scheduled to hear legal argument from lawyers tomorrowbefore making a decision. The judge said the couple, who also have an apartment in Florida, would split cash and assets totalling between 10mand 14m. He said they had together run up lawyers' bills of more than 800,000 on their "Titanic battle" - and he described the figure as "phenomenal". Mr Hanley, who has retired after a career with multinational conglomerate GE, told how their 33-year marriage hit the rocks after he discovered that his wife had an affair. Ms Hanley, who denies adultery, said Mr Hanley had told her that she could have the house in Corr na Mona and was "punishing" her. The judge has heard that the couple, who are both Irish, had lived in Europe, the Far East and the United States because Mr Hanley's work had taken him abroad. They had built the house in Corr na Mona about 16 years ago and had gone there for holidays and at Christmas. Mr Hanley has been living at the Corr na Mona house for the past few months and wants it to be a retirement base. Ms Hanley, who still lives in Wentworth, says she should have the Corr na Mona house because generations of her family have lived in the village. She said her 92-year-old mother still lived there and was the oldest person in Corr na Mona "It's where I have been all my life - generations of my family," Ms Hanley told Mr Justice Holman. "Life is full circle. It's where I started out. It's where I ended." She said Mr Hanley had said she could have the house and told the judge "He is just torturing me. He is just punishing me." Ms Hanley said the Corr na Mona house was her "backbone". "It's like my fifth child. If I were to lose it, it would be like losing a child," she said. "It's my heart, my soul, my life." The judge said Ms Hanley felt that Corr na Mona was her "ancestral territory". Mr Hanley said he wanted to live in the Corr na Mona house and denied that he was trying to hurt Ms Hanley. He said he had "cherished memories" of Corr na Mona. "I like to fish," he said. "I like to walk, I play guitar, I like to cook, I like to read, I like to meditate." Judge has difficulty with Irish accent Mr Justice Holman ran into linguistic difficulties when an Irish villager gave evidence. Mr Justice Holman asked if Gerry Kinneavy could "just speak a little more slowly" when answering questions from a barrister. Ms Hanleyasked three friends - including Mr Kinneavy - from the Corr na Mona area to give evidence at the hearing. Mr Kinneavy told Mr Justice Holman how "Mick" Hanley had spoken of his dislike of the local climate - something Mr Hanley disputed. The judge intervened as Mr Kinneavy spoke from the witness box. "You probably find my English difficult to follow," he told Mr Kinneavy. "It is a rare encounter for me with people from the southwest of Ireland. "It's a great pleasure to have you here, of course, but could you just speak a little more slowly." More on

This Set Of Dynamics Created The Current Situation In Korea.
President Harry Truman faced a critical decision. Technically, Korea was not critical to US national security. But Truman calculated that Korea's strategic position would protect Japan, and defending South Korea would make clear that the US would resist open aggression. Truman's decision, made in a weekend, created modern northeast Asia by making the US the guarantor of South Korean national security. War, however, was extremely difficult to wage on the Korean Peninsula. One of the main reasons was the terrain of the Korean Peninsula. It is narrow about 200 miles wide at its narrowest and about 500 miles long. It is also covered with very rugged hills. A relatively small force, using the rugged terrain cleverly, can hold off a larger force, retreating slowly and inflicting casualties on the attacker, who has to come out from under cover. During temporary positions of surprise or imbalance, it is possible to drive the defender back. But the Korean War showed that, while it is possible to drive the enemy back, it is not possible to simply wipe it out. Another reason is the strategic reality that no major regional power can afford to allow the peninsula to fall completely into the hands of a hostile power. This set of dynamics created the current situation in Korea. The peninsula is divided into two states one with the full support of the US, the other at the moment in a much more complex relationship with China, its traditional patron. North Korea became a puppet of the China-Russia Alliance Mauldin Economics South Korea has emerged as one of the major industrial powers in the world. One reason for its economic success is the American grand strategy of maintaining a long-term commitment to defend South Korea. Buta strategic relationship with the US carries with it both benefits and risks. The major risk is war. The major benefit is that the US tilts the table in favor of the client state. North Korea's relationship with China and Russia has not resulted in similar benefits. The map above displays light visible from space at night. South Korea is ablaze, China less so, but with intense areas. North Korea, on the other hand, is virtually without light, or to be more precise, without enough clustered lighting to be seen from space. Both South Korea and North Korea were devastated by the Korean War. But while South Korea has transformed into a modern industrial power, North Korea appears to be preindustrial or so it appears, based on nighttime lighting. How did this disjuncture occur? The Chinese and the Russians had fewer resources to invest in North Korea than the US had to invest in the South. But the complete answer must be somewhat more complex. Even on their own, the North Koreans should have been able to generate greater economic growth than they have. And certainly, after the fall of the Soviet Union, the Chinese could have aided North Korea more fully had they wished to do so. The rest of the answer has to do with the nature of the North Korean regime. The first strategy of any state is its preservation. North Korea was faced with a major US force and an increasingly powerful South Korean force. The logical thing would have been for the Chinese and Soviets to create an equivalent force. They chose not to.

He Spends His Days Aiding Those Over 60 Who Cannot Afford Other Representation With A Variety Of Legal Affairs, Including Those In Danger Of Losing Their Housing, Those Struggling With The Cost Of Staying In A Nursing Home Or In Danger Of Being Discharged, Or Those In Need Of Other Forms Of Medical Care Or Benefits.
Ben Lambert The Register Citizen By Ben Lambert , The Register Citizen Posted: # Comments Attorney Kevin Brophy of Connecticut Legal Services detailed his career and was celebrated by the Torrington-Winsted Area Club Tuesday. Ben Lambert The Register Citizen TORRINGTON >> Attorney Kevin Brophy grew up in a Catholic family, with parents who hoped their child would enter the priesthood. While in college, he chose a different sort of life of service, and embarked on a career representing the interests of those in need, which brought him through the city of Torrington, and into the lives of seniors, people in need, and members of the community. Brophy, a Canton resident, discussed his career and efforts with the Torrington-Winsted Area Rotary Club this week. Brophy began his legal career at the Torrington office of Connecticut Legal Services , a non-profit law firm that provides legal counsel for low-income individuals involved in civil cases, in 1982, working in the city until 1994. Thats where I started my career. While working in the city, Brophy practiced family and housing law for Connecticut Legal Services, and was involved with the renovation of the-now Northside Terrace and the conversion of the former Riverside School, among other projects. After several years in the city, Brophy moved to work in Waterbury to continue his career with Connecticut Legal Services, where he now serves as the director of elder law for the group, covering Waterbury, Danbury and Litchfield County. He spends his days aiding those over 60 who cannot afford other representation with a variety of legal affairs, including those in danger of losing their housing, those struggling with the cost of staying in a nursing home or in danger of being discharged, or those in need of other forms of medical care or benefits. A typical client of mine is somebody whos probably living in elderly housing, that wouldnt be unusual, and their only source of income is Social Security, said Brophy. And they dont have any savings. If they have money, some kind of savings, then they have the ability to hire a private lawyer. The group has also launched a special program to aid seniors with consumer issues debt collection, struggles with a contractor, etc. Brophy said. Our job is to represent people as zealously and as competently as possible, said Brophy. The group is funded, in large part, through a portion of filing fees assessed in court cases, interest on trust accounts held by lawyers, and state funding. Clients do not pay for legal services, he said. That benefits his clients, Brophy said, given the financial status of the state. There are a lot of poor people programs that are really going to be slashed, which is a concern, said Brophy. Brophy crossed paths with a number of the Rotarians in attendance Tuesday while advocating for interests of his clients, including United Way of Northwest Connecticut Executive Director Owen Quinn, who was previously the social service director for the city; Torrington labor attorney Victor Muschell; and attorney John Logan, who praised Brophys efforts Tuesday. I met you, way back. Youre the first legal service attorney that I ever knew. You were a pain in the neck, and thats what youre supposed to do, said Muschell. You demonstrate, I think, what the unsung heroes of the legal profession do. The legal service lawyers are passionate, qualified, and do such a wonderful job under the radar. The dollar that we spend on legal services saves us probably a five-fold amount of money in what is actually not happening to us as taxpayers, because the people that dont get the representation fall off the wagon, if you will, and they end up becoming a very much larger burden than they would be otherwise, but for the work of legal services, said Logan, as he suggested that the group advocate for funding for legal services. Not only are these lawyers and staff taking furloughs, deferring pay cuts and doing Gods work and thank you, Kevin for that but theyre also saving you tax dollars, whether you know it or not. We crossed swords many, many times over issues, because, if you remember that time, the unemployment rate in Torrington was up to about 14 percent, all the factories were leaving, said Quinn. I was under tremendous pressure from the mayor and the City Council to hold the line on expenses, and you were a frequent people on the other end of the line, arguing very effectively for your clients and the people that needed it... you were so in the corner of people that did not have a voice except for you.

Sour Beers At Hourglass Brewery Sarah Espedido / Orlando Sentinel Hourglass Brewery Finds That Sour Beers Are A Nice Way To Introduce The Beer Palette To People Who Are More Akin To Drinking Liquor Or Wine.
For Orlando resident Spencer Kammer, sour beers were an acquired taste. The styles low alcohol volume, creative flavor combinations and generally lower calorie count attracted Kammer, who has her own beer-centric Instagram account called @Grl.Crsh . You definitely have to work into them if you dont like it at first, she said. It took me over a year to really come to love them. Sour beers at Hourglass Brewery Sarah Espedido / Orlando Sentinel Hourglass Brewery finds that sour beers are a nice way to introduce the beer palette to people who are more akin to drinking liquor or wine. Hourglass Brewery finds that sour beers are a nice way to introduce the beer palette to people who are more akin to drinking liquor or wine. (Sarah Espedido / Orlando Sentinel) Reasons for brewing sour beers vary, but Hernandez and DeLancett noted the styles history was a motivation. Sour beer has been around for centuries. Early brewers didnt know about pure yeast strains or how to get rid of bacteria they simply replicated the previous brew by using the same barrel or adding a bit of old mash to the mix. All of our beers are living beers; we dont kill off the bacteria Brent Hernandez, owner of Redlight Redlight Beer Parlour Modern sour-beer makers introduce bacteria or wild yeast strains to the brew via several methods, including leaving a cask of beer out in the open air and inoculating wooden barrels with microorganisms. All of our beers are living beers; we dont kill off the bacteria, said Hernandez. The yeasts give sour beer different flavors, from a citrusy taste to a more funky essence. The use of bacteria in beer is similar to the way its used to make yogurt. Hourglass Brewery finds that sour beers are a nice way to introduce the beer palette to people who are more akin to drinking liquor or wine. (Sarah Espedido / Orlando Sentinel) For breweries that offer a number of beer styles, finding a space to house sours that are in the works can be a challenge. The microorganisms must be isolated. Hourglass has a different fermentation area for its sours. Redlight Redlight mainly works with this class of beer, so casks are kept in the brewpub. The brews can take from a few months to more than a year to be finished. There are guidelines for how long beers take to reach their peaks but those rules are fast and loose for sours, said DeLancett. You have to wait until nature takes its course. Sour ales help broaden the appeal of beer. A 2016 poll from data measurement company Nielsen found that women are 75 percent more likely than men to prefer sour ales. DeLancett has found that customers who usually only drink wine or those who typically shun beer tend to like sour beer over other types. Just like wine is referred to as acidic, now beer has got game in that arena as well, said Julia Herz, craft-beer program director with the Brewers Association, a nonprofit that promotes craft breweries. With a low alcohol content by volume, sour beers are ideal for sipping. But some are too intense to sip on their own, she said, adding that they are often paired with salty or fried food. Acid calms and diminishes the saltiness. For consumers who made a face at their first sour beer, Kammer encourages them to keep trying different styles. The most interesting thing for me is tasting all the variety of sours out there. she said. Berliners have become my favorite because [they have] an all-around balanced taste, whereas Saisons are a bit more dry for me. Joe Battles & the Moonshine River Band: The Moonshine River Band is a modern country trio with a rock edge. Born out of the Southern Tug Hill region of Northern New York (Altmar) in 2013, the band consists of Joe Battles, guitar/lead vocals; Mark Ramsden, bass/vocals, and Josh Dean, drums/vocals. The band's sound is deeply influenced by artists such as Johnny Cash, George Strait, Garth Brooks, Jason Aldean and Luke Bryan, among others. The band currently has an EP available on iTunes and will be releasing an album soon. The Old Main: Hailing from Utica, The Old Main has drawn favorable comparisons to The Avett Brothers, The Band, and Dawes while retaining a sound and style uniquely their own. Milkweed has pulled from many aspects of American music and created their own brand of Americana song and storytelling ranging from bluegrass guitar flat picking, Chicago blues harmonica, Irish ballads and Jersey shore folk songs. The root of the band's sound is in the use of three-part harmony to impart importance and depth to their original lyrics. Colin Aberdeen: Colin Aberdeen is a bluesman from Syracuse and front man for the genre-defying roots rock band Los Blancos. In his two decades of live performance, he has earned many awards including repeat honors of favorite guitarist and vocalist in both Blues Connection and the Syracuse New Times. He plays an extensive repertoire of Delta slide and Piedmont blues while engaging audiences with soulful vocals and a witty stage presence. Alina Bloniva: Alina's singing debut occurred at age 2, when she stood up on the seat of a train to sing for passengers. Growing up in Ithaca, she followed in the footsteps of her Russian singer-songwriter mother, learning to play guitar and building up a closeted repertoire of mostly Russian songs. After college, a move to the Southwest inspired a love for American folk music. She now writes songs and lives in New England. "Common Ground" marks her debut as a performing artist. The Emcee Michael Heagerty: Michael John Heagerty - "the Jay Gatsby of Syracuse" -- is a connector of people, a creative community ambassador and local entrepreneur. He has a passion for showcasing local history, culture, tradition and cuisine. Whether he is cruising through the streets on the Big Yellow Fellow barcycle, guiding tours of the city or hosting specialty events, Michael is always eager to share his enthusiasm for Syracuse.

Wood.
( www.ibacos.com ), an architectural and engineering consulting firm in Pittsburgh. "There's no real sacrifice in performance with these units or the frame-and-sash units, but there may be in aesthetics for some people." Sash-and-Frame Replacement Sash-and-frame replacement can work well if the windowsill is showing signs of moisture damage or air is leaking between the sash and frame but everything else is in good shape. Typically, a single unit is fit into existing jambs and against the interior or exterior stops, then screwed or nailed into the jambs. These are the most expensive units to buy, but homeowners save in reduced labor costs. However, this option can reduce the daylight opening much more significantly than sash replacement. Complete unit replacement basically a new window with new flashing, sealants, caulking and insulation is the best option for significantly compromised or damaged windows and openings. Requiring removal of old casings and trim, it often causes significant disturbance to interior and exterior finishes and siding. Although this may seem like the most invasive method, with proper installation you will get the best performance of all three options. When it comes to choosing quality windows for a home, Brad recommends that homeowners look at these key areas: A sturdy frame with multiple chambers (with vinyl and composite frames) for support and thermal resistance and reinforced corners (fully welded on vinyl units, not simply sealed). The water management system should depend on flashing rather than caulking. Installation aids such as adjustable screws on jamb liners to fine-tune the frame squareness. All hardware and mechanisms are strong and well-attached. Identify the weep system (typically on the bottom edge of the frame) and ensure it will drain moisture outside the particular siding system where it will be applied. Smooth, easy-to-operate sashes. Tilt sashes for easier cleaning and maintenance. Any accessories such as between-the-glass blinds, snap-in grilles and screens should be durable and won't negatively affect the look of the window. Additionally, Brad urges homeowners to buy the best windows they can afford, even if it means doing a whole-house replacement in two or three stages rather than all at once. Framing Options Just as in replacements, there are different options available for framing: Vinyl. Typically the least expensive, virtually maintenance free, only available in light colors (dark colors absorb too much heat from the sun and warp). Fiberglass/composite. More expensive than wood or vinyl, but more durable as well. Requires virtually no maintenance, and can be painted any color, with faux woodgrains also available. Wood. A popular choice for aesthetics, typically only a little more expensive than vinyl, requires diligent maintenance, can take any stain or color and available in many species. Aluminum clad.

Danish Government Debt Is Aaa Rated.
Let's go back to a time when Unibrew was struggling. Like most companies, the brewer took it on the chin during the financial crisis. Revenues dropped from 4.178 billion krone in 2008 to 3.816 billion in 2009. That is a 9% drop! According to the annual report, 6% was attributable to the global recession and 3% due to exchange rate fluctuations and the decision to terminate unprofitable supply agreements. The dividend had been completely cut since 2007, when the stock paid 10 krone a share. The company took an impairment of 455 million krone in Poland in 2008. The CEO at the time, Poul M?ller, stepped down and was replaced by Henrik Brandt. The Danish economy and krone are rock solid. Danish government debt is AAA rated. You cannot say that about too many European economies. The government recently repaid all of its foreign dollar denominated debt. This is the first time the country has had no foreign dollar debt in 183 years! Last month, the central bank sold 4.7 billion kroner to weaken the currency as euros were sold because of the French election. Having said this, there are risks as there are several countries involved: Denmark, Finland, Italy, Norway, African nations and several others. Denmark and Norway each have their own currencies which fluctuate with the euro. In December, CEO Henrik Brandt stepped down and was replaced by Jesper J?rgensen. Brandt had been at the helm since 2008. J?rgensen had worked at Carlsberg, Arthur Andersen and Germany-based Knauf. It appears Brandt had done a great job in his nine years as head of Unibrew. In the third quarter of 2016, revenues were flat at 1.7 billion krone due to mediocre summer weather. Flat revenues and the departure of Brandt sent the stock price south. The price went from 335 krone in September to 246 krone in December. Talk about value investing. September would have been a great time to buy shares. Michael Rasmussen of ABG Sundal Collier is not so impressed with Unibrew. He thinks the stock is fully valued and that revenues will hardly budge over the next couple of years. The company has a contract with Finnish grocery chain SOK that could end later in 2017. The contract comes up for periodic renewal and probably will be renewed. ABG downgraded shares to a hold from buy.

Collectors Categorized Each Of Them In Different Mark Series.
When you are not exposed to daylight, its feasible to lose track of time and whether you are finding yourself working during the day or night. I really cant imagine this, but then again, Ive never found myself in that situation. Type I and Type II The Explorer watches were indicated in their generic manual as Type I and Type II. Where the Type II came with the additional (24) hour hand, 24 hour scale bezel and, lets not forget about that, a date. Both were chronometer rated watches and water resistant to 100 meters. Explorers, no matter the version, were rugged watches that up to the task of those who liked to explore. Explorer II Reference 1655 Rolex kept the Explorer II reference 1655 in production until around 1984/1985. In 1984, Rolex introduced its successor, the reference 16550. In this production period of roughly 13/14 years, Rolex only amended small changes. Collectors categorized each of them in different Mark series. There are about 7 different dials and a handful of different bezels. Italian collector Stefano Mazzariol did a nice comparison article , so go knock yourself out. 1655 and 1675 The Explorer II had the same movement as the GMT-Master reference 1675 at that time, caliber 1575. This movement featured the 24-hour hand that indicates AM/PM. Whereas the GMT-Master had a rotating bezel, the Explorer II reference 1655 used a fixed 24 hour scale indicator. Cave explorers only need to know, for example, whether it is 7:00 or 19:00 and the large orange hand indicates this for them. Funky Dial When I got the chance to play around with this Rolex Explorer II reference 1655 for a while (well, I had it on loan for about a year!) I was quite excited. You have to know that of all Rolex watches, the Explorer collection is among my favorites (as well as the GMT-Master) and the Explorer II 1655 has always rated as high on my wish list to try and test. One of the first things I noticed was that the dial is kinda strange. Specifically, I knew that the hour and minute markers were a bit odd, but I didnt realize the effect of this during normal wear. You might also like Market Update - The Crazy Vintage Chronographs Extra Markers As you can see, the hour and minute markers are quite OK. Every 5 minutes there is a fat hour marker and on the 12, 6 and 9 there is some extra punch to them. However, the 24 hour scale has been aligned with an extra set of hour markers, to which the large orange hand points. I find this to be quite distracting and could not get used to it to be honest. Fat Case The Rolex Explorer reference 1655 has an interesting case. Where I find my own Rolex GMT-Master 1675 to wear quite thin, this Explorer II wears differently. Its even unique versus the Sea-Dweller and Submariner watches I previously owned. Also, the watch measures 39mm in diameter, which is a tad bit smaller than the others I mentioned. Its quite thick, so the dimensions sum up to what feels like wearing a very compact and solid stainless steel watch, which it is of course. Just like the funky dial, this needed some time to get used to. Explorer II Collectors Market The watch just screams 1970s and I love that. The large orange hand, the weird minute and hour tracks and the clunky case. It all adds up. They say that the Rolex Explorer II reference 1655 wasnt a popular watch while it was produced. That is probably true, but I also read that the watch wasnt marketed very well on a global level. I cant verify this, but what I do know, is that you only had to open a National Geographic Magazine of the 1970s and youd see anExplorer II ad inside.

Close Cooker And Bring To High Pressure, Then Cook At High Pressure For 45 Minutes.
Why It Works Using a pressure cooker cuts the cooking time drastically, while producing a flavorful and gelatin-rich stock. Dicing the aromatic vegetables leads to better extraction of their flavor. Yield:Makes about 2 quarts (1.9L) Active time: 10 minutes Total time:1 hour Ingredients 4 1/2 pounds (2kg) mixed chicken parts, such as wings, backs, bones, and feet (see note) 1 1/2 pounds yellow onions (about 2 large; 680g), diced 12 ounces carrots (about 2 large; 340g), diced 8 ounces celery (about 6 medium ribs; 225g), diced 4 medium cloves garlic 3 fresh thyme sprigs (optional) 1 bay leaf Directions 1. Combine all ingredients in a stovetop or electric pressure cooker and cover with cold water, about 2 quarts (1.9L). Make sure not to let liquid exceed the cooker's max fill line; it's okay if a few things poke above the water's surface. 2. Close cooker and bring to high pressure, then cook at high pressure for 45 minutes. Allow cooker to depressurize, either by allowing it to cool to room temperature (for the clearest stock) or by using the pressure release valve on the cooker to rapidly vent steam. (Using the release valve will cause the stock to boil, which may result in some loss of clarity; this should not be an issue unless you're serving it as consomme or in another preparation that requires the broth to be crystal-clear.) If you have a stovetop cooker, you can also depressurize it by running it under cold water in the sink; do not do this with an electric cooker. 3.

He Gets A Half-baked Gag About His Obsession With Pink Unicorns And A Few Scenes Where He Shows Off His Boomerangs, But That's About It.
Warner Bros. 28.) John Malkovich as Quentin Turnbull "Jonah Hex": You'll be forgiven if you don't remember this villain from one of the biggest comic-book movie bombs ever. His big plan is to blow up the United States with a super weapon designed by Eli Whitney? Guess he wasn't satisfied with inventing the cotton gin. Warner Bros. 27.) Clancy Brown as Parallax, "Green Lantern": A big, boring villain made from uninspiring CGI for the sole purpose of giving Ryan Reynolds something to fight while waiting for "Deadpool" to get greenlit. And speaking of bad CGI... Warner Bros. 26.) Cara Delevingne and Robin Atkin Downes as The Enchantress and Incubus, "Suicide Squad": One has a nondescript, boring world-domination plan she carries out through green-screen dancing. The other is a giant orange CGI monster that fires vines out of his hands while bad editing makes it impossible to get a good look at him. Ironically, a movie about villains ends up getting an utterly weak antagonist. Warner Bros. 25.) Michael Shannon as General Zod, "Man of Steel": Here's a villain more known for his demise than his motivations or schemes. Why? Because Superman snaps his neck. If you could pinpoint a moment where Zach Snyder finally threw away any positive image he had in the eyes of comic-book movie fans, that was it. Warner Bros. 24.) Jared Leto as The Joker, "Suicide Squad": Leto wants oh-so-badly to be the successor to Heath Ledger , but just comes off as irritating. What's more, he's barely in the film, never engaging with any member of the Suicide Squad other than Harley. His subplot feels largely pointless, other than to get people in the seats. Warner Bros. 23.) Jai Courtney as Captain Boomerang, "Suicide Squad": He's one of the "Suicide" characters that gets the shaft when it comes to screen time and development. He gets a half-baked gag about his obsession with pink unicorns and a few scenes where he shows off his boomerangs, but that's about it. Warner Bros. 22.) Matthew Goode as Ozymandias, "Watchmen": In Alan Moore's classic, Adrian Veidt devised a horrible plan in the name of bringing peace to the world, turning him into one of the most compelling comic- book villains ever written. Sadly, this nuance and intrigue doesn't show up in Goode's performance, partly due to plot changes made by Zach Snyder. Warner Bros. 21.) Tommy Lee Jones as Two-Face, "Batman Forever": Your enjoyment of the villains in Joel Schumacher 's Batman films depends on your taste for campy ridiculousness. The usually serious Tommy Lee Jones certainly brings the camp with one of the more absurd takes on Harvey Dent, though he struggles for attention when sharing screen time with Jim Carrey 's manicRiddler. Warner Bros. 20.) Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje as Killer Croc, "Suicide Squad": Like Captain Boomerang, Croc is largely left out of David Ayer 's script.

From Easy Pickles Made By Packing Foods In Miso (kabocha Squash!
It's gorgeous to look at; it has a flat front, which makes it great for scraping up fond or stirring vegetables; and it's got a smooth, ergonomic grip that makes using it a joy. Kenji Really Nice Wooden Spoon Buy Sack-like contemporary aprons may do the job, but theyre far from flattering. This 50s-style cut, on the other hand, is the kind of apron I wish I could wear out on the townits colorful, lightweight, and fitted for equal parts comfort, function, and fashion. Niki A Flattering Apron Buy If her first two books are any indication, Nancy Singleton Hachisu is poised to become the Julia Child of traditional Japanese home cooking. In this, her second book, she tackles the deeply fascinatingand even more deliciousworld of Japanese preserving. From easy pickles made by packing foods in miso (kabocha squash! eggs! apple pears!) to homemade miso, salt-rubbed vegetables, and air-dried fish, this should be the next frontier in all of Mom's home preservation undertakings. I'm getting excited just thinking about it. Daniel Preserving the Japanese Way Buy Coffee and tea just feel more luxurious in this pretty handmade mug from Portland's Mazama Wares. I love the satiny, soft-colored glazes and find the handle particularly comfortable.
