hey, i think i might've found a possible lead regarding the source of the picture used in some of postal 1's promotional material?

for context, i found the image on the left by total chance the other day through a reverse image search. upon looking up the image ID on gettyimages, i was able to find the original here.

at first, i assumed it was a cosplay photo of sorts that had somehow managed to end up on a stock images site, but upon closer inspection, that doesn't seem to be the case. the angle is slightly different, but if you compare certain details to the one on the right (such as the stuff on the floor and the texture of the walls), they're practically identical. as such, i believe these two pictures may come from the same photoshoot.

however, that's pretty much the extent of what i know. unfortunately, it doesn't look like there's a way to contact the poster of this image for more information, and i doubt RWS would be of much help either, as i recall mike j stating in a reddit thread that the picture was owned by ripcord games (which has been defunct for well over a decade by now), not them.

i just wanted to share this cause i thought it was an interesting find. that being said, if anyone has any idea where to find out more about origin of these two photos, then please feel free to share!

After a year, I could absolutely agree that this fandom is pretty nice and chill despite the small amount of bad eggs. I have seen a few of them roaming around, but the community ignores them (as they should-) and doesn't let them ruin the fun.

It's different for everyone, of course, but in my eyes, this community is pretty cool-

I love this fandom

The Postal fandom is genuinely the best fandom I've been in years. It's so active and its users are always so nice and support literally EVERYTHING related to Postal. I haven't been in a fandom this supportive like ever- not even when I was in the Undertale fandom years ago wow. This community is making content every single day and posting it everywhere, you can literally ask anything and there will always be at least one person who'll answer, idk, is so fun to be here :) Though I've seen some talk about how there's a lot of toxic folks around, I haven't had any bad experience with anyone, neither I have encountered someone who's toxic, so I guess is kinda a minority? And it's strange because I used to be a little nervous about this fandom because of the nature of its firsts games, I thought everyone would be edgy, toxic, problematic, etc but as long as I see, that's not really the case. Plus, RWS is also so cool in a lot of ways, I think it's so nice that they interact directly with their community and even listen to them, I guess that also explains why everyone seems so friendly. Idk, I'm just in love with this fandom
