Questions About My AU
Hello, it’s me again… the guy with that AU about the squad being a battle team. It’s been a while, I know… So basically I’m bored and I want to yap a bit about my AU.
I’m taking a break from making the character posts so instead I want you guys to ask me a question about my AU. It could be a question about the characters, the story, process behind it, literally anything that’ll give me an excuse to talk about it.
Leave a question in the comments please. Thank you.

Young Wizard Adventures
Tumblr media
So I saw a post on Tumblr talking about wanting to see Wendy, Romeo, and Chelia go on an adventure together. I got bored and made this little thing that’s been in my head for a while I like to call Young Wizard Adventures.
It’s basically a spinoff that follows Wendy, Romeo, and Chelia who are some of the youngest wizards in the series. The spinoff would show them going on missions together (Either two of them or all three) or them just hanging out.
So… yeah, that’s what this thing I made is.

Tumblr media
I was bored and saw your post so I decided to make this little thing that's been in my head for a while but I'm probably not gonna go through with making.
i need these three:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
to have an adventure together.
i literally do not care about the power difference between romeo and the girls, that can actually be like a plot point where he’s insecure about it or something.
i just need a silly adventure between some of the youngest mages of the shows that also appear a lot and i need it now.

ES Journeys Rival Cast: Shade the Absol
Hello everyone, been some time but I'm back to talk about another rival character in the rival cast of ES Journeys. If you haven't seen the first rival cast post then here's a link to it about Trace.
Quick refresher if you haven't seen it though, a rival character are characters that are personal opponents to someone on the Eeveelution Squad and are on a rival team.
For today's post I'll be talking about the apparent "villain" of Eeveelution Squad, Shade the Absol.
(Note: Not everything is fully fleshed out. These are just the main ideas I have and am currently trying to flesh out)
Shade So Shade is a weird character. While you may remember him debuting in the final chapter of the comic, that's not actually where he first appeared as his actual first appearance was in a journal called Bond and Trust. In the final chapter, Shade was the antagonist of the comic which came out of nowhere as he had absolutely no build up of becoming one. Shade is racist towards wild Pokemon for some reason which made him have some personal beef with Speed which was weird and was connected to the whole virus BS plot.
From everything I listed, I have a lot of issues with this guy though the one thing that did stood out to me was his personal beef with Speed. Shade never worked as a villain for the comic in my opinion but I can see him working as a rival character to Speed which I plan on doing for ES Journeys.
Personality Shade is a mean and arrogant Pokemon. He's a jerk to almost everyone, especially towards the Eeveelution Squad where he would mock them and purposefully ticks them off. He believes he and his team are stronger and better than everyone snd is not afraid to threaten those he deems are below him. Despite these nasty aspects about him, he hides it by acting calm and normal.
Shade is very manipulative. He manipulates others to get what he wants and often messes with his opponents' head in order to get them to fall for his manipulation.
Unlike in the comics, Shade is not racist towards wild Pokemon since that does not exist in the world of ES Journeys. Despite that, he still had personal beef with Speed as he does not like when someone opposes him.
Unlike Speed who considers everyone on his team as his friends, Shade doesn't as all he sees them as are Pokemon that he can use their strength for himself to become champion.
As team captain of his team, the Disaster Bringers, Shade is a cruel, strict, and borderline abuser team captain. Training sessions are brutal where it's a constant beatdown by him or others on the team and he does not allow them to rest. Whenever a member on the team loses, he scolds them while calling them things like weak and pathetic and if they lose so badly then Shade would immediately kick them out of the team without hesitation. He also doesn't allow anyone on his team to help other teams and if he catches them helping, he kicks them out.
Shade has a strong belief that strength is all that matters in battle and that the weak must suffer. This belief is shown in many of his battles in Sinnoh where he brutally beats up his opponents and he only has Pokemon on his team that follow the same belief as him like Tyrant. Shade wants to change the competitive battle sport scene where it follows his belief of the only thing that matters is being the strongest and weak teams must suffer.
Moves, Ability, and Battle Style Shade is weaker in ES Journeys since he isn't connected to the virus junk this time but he's still a strong opponent.
Shade's battle style has him brutally beat up his opponent, injuring them far worse than how an average battler would. He would even beat up opponents when they're already down. As brutal as he may be, many see it as just him making sure his opponent stays down but sometimes he's told to stop by the referee if he's going too far. Shade also tries to mess with his opponents by getting in their head via mocking them or telling them about their fears and failures.
Shade has a wide array of many powerful moves from a variety of Types. His movelist: -Slash -Quick Attack -Taunt -Razor Wind -Shadow Ball -Night Slash -Shadow Claw -Fire Blast -Brutal Swing -Strength -Sucker Punch -Close Combat -Giga Impact -Hyper Beam
Shade's ability is Pressure. This ability's takes effect when an opponent is feeling intimidated by Shade which will cause them to lose their focus and end up using far more energy from their attacks than usual. This ability can be resisted as long as the opponent remains level headed and not feel intimidated by Shade.
Shade's Backstory Shade hatched on January 10, 1993 and lived in Sunny Town of the Kanto region.
He lived a normal life and in 1996, Shade attended school for the first time. Shade got good grades in school and was really good in battle class which had him be praised a lot by everyone including his family. At some point, the praise got to Shade's head and he started to become arrogant.
During one day in battle class when he was battling someone, he thought he had won the battle but that Pokemon tricked him and relentlessly attacked him before being stopped by the teacher. When Shade saw everyone praising the guy that beat him, he got mad so the next time the two were assigned to each other again, Shade did the same thing to him even when he asked him to stop. He was stopped by the coach and got praise from the class but this one battle made him believe that strength is all that matters.
After that battle, Shade started to turn into a bully, using his strength to intimidate others and making them do what he wants. The genuine praise from everyone in school turned into fake praise as they were scared of him which he was aware but loved being feared. He hides his bullying by scaring his victims into not saying anything and pretending to be nice around the teachers as well as never saying anything about it to his family.
Years go by and his school life was his usual of terrorizing everyone in the school, beating up everyone in battle class brutally but not too much where he'd get in trouble from the teacher, and getting good grades. Sometimes when Shade is bullying others in school, he runs into Frost who often stands up to him. The two never fought as teachers would always be approaching before they could even do it but Frost standing up to him, pissed Shade off.
Shade's relatives often visit him which includes Spike's family from Sinnoh. Whenever they visited, Spike would often challenge Shade to something to prove he's just as good as them since he was mad about his family constantly talking about him and his accomplishments while he lives in his shadow which caused him to dislike him. He would end up always losing to him and Shade tells Spike that he's beneath him and that he'll never be better than him which pisses Spike off and his dislike for him even more.
In January, 2005, Shade graduated from school. Shade became a Rescuer and climbed the ranking pretty fast due to him taking on missions, specifically ones where he has to takedown outlaws with ease though he always did it alone and never formed a team. Despite being a Rescuer, he's a corrupt one as he often abuses his position as one and made the entire town fear him. He would occasionally run into Frost in town and like in school, he stands up to him but they never got into a fight due to other Rescuers and police being around and it could risk Shade his job.
In 2006, Shade was once again terrorizing Sunny Town but he meets Speed for the first time as him and Trace who also just first met and were hanging out but saw him bullying the townsfolk so he confronted him about it. Not liking seeing someone stand up to him, he beats him up and soon beats up Trace who joins Speed's side. He beats them easily and then walks off laughing as he thinks that's the last time he'll deal with them.
Ever since that first encounter, Shade would run into Speed a lot and every time it happens he confronts him for bullying the townsfolk and Shade beats him up. Even though Shade beats Speed up every time, he gets mad seeing him stand up to him every time and wants to get rid of him.
Shade had soon become obsessed with dealing with Speed and his obsession started to get to him at work. Shade received a warning about his behavior and was told to knock it off or else he'd lose his job. Not wanting to lose his job, Shade attempts with getting rid of Speed by hiring someone else to do it, a Fearow outlaw that he struck a deal with in one of his Rescuer missions to get kidnap him and kill him but the plan went wrong as the Fearow accidentally took Silvia instead since both were Eevees. Seeing Speed return pissed him off even more.
Years go by of Shade trying to get rid of Speed and in 2012, he is fired from his Rescuer job since many reports and witnesses have came up speaking about what he's done to the town thanks to Speed giving them the courage to speak up. Shade blamed Speed for losing his job and now with nothing to lose, he was gonna confront Speed and planned on beating him up more than he's ever done before. The next day he searches through Sunny Town for Speed and he eventually found him as he was on his way to meet up with Black but is stopped by him. He started a fight with him and it was so intense from previous encounters with him that a lot of the townsfolk came over to see what was happening including Black who was searching for Speed after he didn't arrive at their meet up spot after some time waiting. While Shade beat up Speed much more than usual, Speed manage to just barely beat him. Despite being beaten up, he gets up and limps away, pissed that he got defeated by Speed and humiliated in front of everyone. Shade never told his parents about what happened that day and a few weeks later he moves out of Sunny Town and moves to Hearthome City of Sinnoh with his excuse being to live closer to his family when in actuality it's so no one from Kanto know what happened to him that day.
When Shade finished moving into Sinnoh, he tried becoming a Rescuer but he was rejected since they heard about what he did back in Kanto. Shade was enraged and blamed Speed even more for now ruining his life as he had to now take another job. His new job (I don't know yet) while hit provided him money, he hated it.
Shade continued to work there for 2 years. In 2014, Shade saw a battle on TV that was happening from the Lily of the Valley Conference and immediately decided he's gonna become one. He quit his job and created his team called the Disaster Bringers though he was the only one on the team. He left Sinnoh and headed to Johto to compete in the Johto League as he wanted people to remember him for competitive battling and not what he did in the past.
Shade's Johto journey went well as he managed to defeat the first few Gyms and other small competitive battling teams in small tournaments all by himself. Shade would soon recruit Pokemon onto his team but his recruiting was only to Pokemon he deemed worthy of joining via strength or only believing in strength. He trained his team through brutal methods such as having everyone on team against one member or beating them down and not letting them get up. When his team got to the Silver Conference, while they did pretty well for a first time team, they still lost. Shade didn't take the loss well and kicked out everyone on the team as he blamed them for their loss.
Shade went to Hoenn to compete in the Hoenn League and he recruits new Pokemon for his team and harshly trains them as well. Like in Johto, Shade's team got to the Ever Grande Conference and while still doing good, they still lost. He didn't take it well and kicked everyone out, blaming his teammates again. He goes to Kanto and does the same thing where he recruits new Pokemon, make it to the Indigo Plateau Conference and still loses, and kicks everyone out again.
The 3 years of doing competitive battling did well for Shade as he felt the same feeling he once felt back when he was a Rescuer in Sunny Town. He got to beat Pokemon up using his strength to prevent them from getting up and got others to do what he says. People praised him for being a strong battler with a strong team however he and his team are also seen as controversial due to various things from how he beats up his opponents to his harsh training to him kicking everyone out of his team after a league and more.
Shade returned to Sinnoh to take a break from battling for a few months but after that he began looking for Pokemon to recruit on his team. He recruited a few Pokemon that caught his interest with one of them being Tyrant the Hitmonlee. At the beginning of his Sinnoh journey on June 2016, he and his team encounter the Eeveelution Squad with Speed, Crystal, Flare, and Pearl at the time who had just arrived to the region.
Shade's Journey In Diamond and Pearl, Shade and his team are the main rival team to the Eeveelution Squad in Sinnoh. Unlike other rival teams like Trace's team, Shade and his team are more of an antagonistic rival team. Shade does a lot to the Eeveelution Squad over the course of their Sinnoh journey such as beating them multiple times while brutally beating some of them up and mocking them. He made Speed question himself as a leader and nearly gave up the role, attempted to have Flare join his team for his ability and make him embrace that he's a monster, taking advantage of Leaf's kindness and manipulated her into letting him and his team help Flare with learning how to control his ability when he desperately wanted to learn how to control it, tries to have Black join his team some time after he and Speed mended their friendship, and brutally beats up Leaf the night before his team faces the Eeveelution Squad in the Lily of the Valley Conference. Shade gets defeated by Flare who was able to control himself with his Blaze ability and his team loses. When he wakes up after being defeated, he told that he's banned from competitive battling and gets taken away by the police after for beating up Leaf.
In Master Journeys, Shade makes a return and plans on taking revenge against the Eeveelution Squad for ruining his chance at becoming champion years ago in the Sinnoh League. Due to Shade being banned from competitive battling, Shade plans on getting his revenge on the Eeveelution Squad by interfering with their training during the time they split up to train on their own across the world by hunting down each one of them and giving them a brutal beatdown that would make them too injured to do training for a while. Shade's grown a lot stronger than back in Sinnoh and he even has a Mega Stone to Mega Evolve which was enough to defeat almost every member of the team including Flare. When Shade goes after Speed, the two had a fierce battle with the Jolteon wanting to make him pay for what he did to everyone and in the end, he defeated him and gets him sent back to jail.
And that's all I have to say about Shade the Absol in ES Journeys. Again there's some minor stuff I didn't mention but might be said in another post. Anyway hope you guys liked this info dump on him. Did you like what I did with him or no? Let me know in comments and let me know who else would you like to hear about for ES Journeys. Until then, have a good day everyone. See ya.

ES Journeys Main Cast: Axel the Shiny Eevee
Hey guys, I'm back again to talk about another ES Journeys character. You're probably questioning what am I talking about as I went through all 9 of them but there was one more I didn't do yet because I wanted to get the original 9 done with first. Anyway, this post is about the Shiny Pokemon himself, Axel the Shiny Eevee. If you didn't see the last few posts then here are the posts for Speed, Crystal, Flare, Sunshine, Pearl, Leaf, Lazuli, Black, and Silvia.
If you don't know what ES Journeys is, go to this post.
(Note: Not everything is fully fleshed out. These are just the main ideas I have and am currently trying to flesh out)
Axel Axel is an interesting character for a couple reasons though it isn't because of writing reasons. He's a Shiny Eevee, Pearl's cousin, shipped with Sunshine, lives with the group after the Vacation Arc and... yeah... that's all he's got.
Axel is alright to me though there are some issues I have with him which I want to try to fix in ES Journeys.
Personality So Axel is both the same and different in terms of personality for this AU. When Axel debuted in the comic he was pretty happy and social with others even though he was bullied a lot. I personally had an issue with this because if I was bullied relentlessly for how I looked in school I wouldn't be so happy like how he was in the comic. Basically what I'm saying here is that Axel isn't gonna be as happy as he was in the comic which I'll further explain going down.
Axel in ES Journeys during his debut is a lot more quiet and nonsocial. He's often alone and likes to stay away from other Pokemon outside his family. Axel's reason for staying away from others is because he assumes the worst that everyone will bully him since he was bullied a lot in school and as a result from that, he doesn't trust anyone aside from his family and doesn't try with making any friends. Even after meeting Sunshine, when it comes to other Pokemon he was still nonsocial around others and doesn't try making friends though this changes in Alola.
When Sunshine became Axel's first ever friend, he would always be happy and playful around her as he really enjoys her company and valued their friendship. When Sunshine and Axel were in school in Alola and he saw her having fun with other Pokemon, he would often get jealous and sometimes be a bit possessive of her but only because he didn't want to lose the only friend he had. He does get over this behavior thanks to Sunshine and his fellow classmates.
Despite Axel's mistrust and loneliness, Axel has a good heart so he cares about others and is willing to go through great lengths for others, especially to those he considers his friends whether it's helping them out or trying to protect them from other bullies.
When it comes to battling, while Axel isn't old enough to participate in it he's excited about it and is pretty good at it as shown in places like school. As the son of Bolt who was a former competitive battler, Axel is a hug fan of the sport and wants to become one when he grows up.
Axel only sees Sunshine as a friend and she sees him as a friend as well. Not everything has to be a romantic relationship.
Moves, Ability, and Battle Style Axel is much stronger than his comic self as he actually gets to fight while also watching competitive battles both in person and on TV and training with both his school friends and the Eeveelution Squad. His battle style is pretty basic.
Axel has a range of various moves. His movelist and when they're learned: -Tackle (SM) -Quick Attack (SM) -Double Kick (SM) -Sand Attack (SM) -Iron Tail (SM) -Shadow Ball (SM) -Veevee Volley (SM) -Breakneck Blitz (SM; Z-Move)
Axel's ability is Adaptability. This ability increases the power of his moves that are the same type as his which is Normal-Type.
Axel's Backstory Axel hatched on March 18, 2010 and he was raised by her mom, Rin and his dad, Bolt. He lives in Goldenrod City of the Johto region.
During his early childhood, Axel would be visited by Pearl and her family often. Pearl would often be the one watching over him whenever his parents were out and the two would grow close with each other.
In April of 2013, Axel attends school for the first time. While in school, Axel would get picked on for his shiny appearance often and it really hurts him. Axel would tell his parents and Pearl about this and while they try telling to school to get the bullying to stop, nothing changed. His family would have to comfort Axel every time he comes back home upset while he becomes less happy and social. He would have to endure the bullying for the rest of the year.
In 2014, Axel meets Sunshine along with the rest of the Eeveelution Squad who just arrived in Goldenrod City. Sunshine tried to talking to Axel but he ignored and avoided her. Eventually she manages to get him to talk and soon the two become friends.
Axel's Journey In Gold and Silver, Axel makes his debut when the Eeveelution Squad arrive in Goldenrod City. When he first met Sunshine and the rest of the Eeveelution Squad excluding Pearl, he avoided them and didn't want to talk. During their stay in the city, Axel does eventually talk to Sunshine after she tried speaking to him several times before. He opens up about his problems with being bullied because of his appearance and assumes she along with the rest of the group would make fun of him but to his surprise, Sunshine thought he looked cool. Eventually Sunshine becomes Axel's first friend and the two would play together often whenever the team returns to Goldenrod City during their Johto journey.
From Ruby and Sapphire to Black & White, Axel shows up with the rest of his family to watch the Eeveelution Squad compete in the regional conferences.
In Sun & Moon, Axel officially joins the main cast and attends school with Sunshine in Alola. During the beginning of their time in school, Axel mostly hung around Sunshine and didn't want to interact with anyone else. When Sunshine started to hangout with the rest of their classmates, Axel gets a bit possessive of her but soon stops this behavior after talking with Pearl. Axel's time in Alola helped him become open with others and make friends while also getting stronger by training with some of his classmates and some members of the Eeveelution Squad.
In Sword & Shield, Axel and Sunshine were left behind in Kanto to attend school in Vermilion City. During their time there, Axel befriends Pokemon that are mentioned in the after story of the comic. Axel gets bullied again in school as it's not as welcoming as Alola's but instead of letting himself be knocked down, he picks himself up and inspires others to do the same like Marcel.
In Master Journeys, Axel with Sunshine are either attending school or going on an adventure with the Eeveelution Squad. During their time in school, Axel becomes friends with Goh (The guy who's with Ash in Pokemon Journeys). He helps Goh learn to be more social with others as he saw himself with him.
And that's all I have to say about about Axel the Shiny Eevee in ES Journeys. With him done I finally finished talking about all the main cast members of my ES AU for real this time. There's some minor stuff I didn't mention but maybe I'll make a post about random facts about him. What do you guys think of it?
Now that I finished with all the main characters for real this time, I might make a character post other ES characters that are side characters or rivals like Trace, Gai, or any of the parents. Who are you interested in seeing a post about? Let me know in the comments. Until then, bye everyone!

ES Journeys Rival Cast: Trace the Shinx
Hey y'all, been a while. So as you know I finished talking about all of the main cast for my ES AU, ES Journeys. If you haven't seen any of their posts then here are the links to Speed, Crystal, Flare, Sunshine, Pearl, Leaf, Lazuli, Black, Silvia, and Axel and if you don't know what ES Journeys is here's the post that talks about what it is. Since I finished talking about the main characters of the AU, I think the next thing to talk about are the rival characters.
What are rival characters in ES Journeys? Rival characters are characters that are basically personal opponents to someone on the Eeveelution Squad and the two try to show who's stronger by the end. Rival characters are on rival teams against the Eeveelution Squad.
With all of that explained and out of the way, it's time to talk about Speed's friend and one of the only non-Eeveelution characters, Trace.
(Note: Not everything is fully fleshed out. These are just the main ideas I have and am currently trying to flesh out)
Trace Trace is a pretty well known side character in the comic for various reasons. He's know for being one of the few side character that isn't an Eeveelutions, being a simp as a Shinx, being Speed's first friend and was a Rescuer with him, being shipped with Crystal even though they only interacted once, and the son of Dr. Robert.
Trace's character was pretty interesting and personally I liked him however that doesn't mean I didn't have issues with him. An example is Trace saying he didn't want to become a scientist like his dad but by the end of the comic he's a scientist because SaVe ThE wOrLd from the virus BS. I hated that. Oh and just like with the rest of the side characters who aren't Eeveelutions, he didn't get a lot of focus even though he got the most out of all of them. I plan on giving him and other side characters justice in ES Journeys.
Personality Trace's personality is more less the same as the comic's. He's a nice guy who can be a bit silly at times but can get annoyed and be rude. Trace is a bit competitive with others like with Speed and Spike but it's always in a friendly manner. As a Shinx he was a bit immature as he becomes a bit of a rusher and gets a bit impatient at times but as he grew and evolved he matured.
Trace is very smart as he had some of the highest grades in school and was forced to take extra curricular classes as well as go with his dad to research meetings often. Because of all of that, Trace knows a lot about science and Pokemon.
When it comes to battling, Trace likes it. As the team captain of his team, team Rising Stars, Trace has pretty good leadership skills as he open with listening to others and tries to help them out as much as he can. He develops strategies for battle using his well versed knowledge on Pokemon and science.
As the son of Professor Robert, Trace has a bit of popularity but not the kind that he wants. He didn't like it when other Pokemon recognized him as just being the son of the world's greatest researcher and would become upset whenever someone mentions the fact that he is his son. This bothers him so much that when a girl he fell for mentions this fact, he quickly becomes disinterested. Trace has no bad feelings towards his dad but he wants to be able to stand out on his own and be out of his father's shadow which is why he chose to go against what his father wanted him to be which was becoming a professor and instead do competitive battling. He is determined to carve out his own legacy with his own abilities in competitive battling.
Trace can be empathetic with others who are going through a similar situation as him when it comes standing out. He understands what it's like to be not recognized for yourself and what you're capable of so he offers to help those going through a similar thing like with Spike and Hydra.
Trace used to fall for girls easily as a Shinx and attempts at flirting with them but as he grew and evolved he stopped doing that.
Moves, Ability, and Battle Style Trace is weaker in ES Journeys than in the comic because he doesn't have any stupid ES technology like those armor suits and other junk. He has a basic battle style consisting of a mix of ranged and physical moves.
Trace has a wide array of Electric-Type moves as well as other Type moves. His movelist and when they're learned: -Thundershock (TB) -Tackle (TB) -Bite (TB) -Quick Attack (TB) -Swift (OI) -Discharge (GS) -Thunder Wave (GS) -Double Kick (GS) -Take Down (GS) -Wild Charge (DP) -Agility (BW) -Thunder Fang (BW) -Electro Ball (BW) -Thunder (MJ) -Electric Terrain (MJ)
Trace's ability is Rivalry. This ability increases his strength when he faces someone he really wants to beat like Speed.
Trace's Backstory Trace hatched on March 24, 2000 and he was raised by just his dad, Robert. He lived in Sunny Town of the Kanto region.
During Trace's early childhood, Robert did his best as a single father raising him however being a professor made it a bit difficult for him. Since Robert couldn't leave Trace alone at home he would take him to his lab but leave him in his office where someone would look after him while he attended to his research with him checking on him every so often. Trace meets Robert's best friend, Nemo who often checks up on him in the lab and visits his home. Whenever Robert has to leave town to attend a research event, Nemo would stay behind to look after him and the two got along well.
In April of 2003, Trace attended school for the first time. During his time in school, Trace was pretty popular because everyone knew he was the son of Professor Robert and he enjoyed the attention. A few months later, as Trace was walking back from school he runs into Spike who came from Sinnoh to visit Shade and his family. When he saw him, he saw that Spike was really angry and asked if he was okay to which he snapped at him which Trace didn't take so well. He snapped back at him and eventually the two got into an argument. Spike asks him who he even is to which Trace brags about being known by everyone in town as the son of Professor Robert. Spike in response to what he said laughs and mocks him as he tells him his popularity comes from his relationship with his dad and not himself and that without him then he would be nobody. Trace didn't believe him and ran off. The next day in school when Trace was getting attention, he noticed how everyone who's interacted with him never call him by his name and if they did they would always bring up his father immediately afterwards and this started to bother him.
Ever since that argument with Spike, Trace began to hate the attention he was getting and whenever the two meet in Sunny Town, Spike would always mock him. Trace would try to tell his dad about how he felt but he was usually too busy with his research to listen so he ends up telling Nemo. Trace thought of what he could do to make himself stand out and he thought of becoming a Rescuer but was afraid of what his father would say about that as he wanted him to become a researcher like him, Nemo, and his late mom.
A few years go by and during it, Robert had Trace help him with some simple research tasks like collecting certain stones and such. During that time, Trace still hasn't told his father about wanting to become a Rescuer but on one day in 2006, he mustered the courage to tell him while he was home. When he told him, it didn't go well as Robert didn't allow him to become one since he said it was dangerous and said he will become a researcher which made Trace frustrated as he storms out the house.
Trace wandered around Sunny Town trying to cool off but was too frustrated about his dad not letting him be what he wants to be. He was so mad that he wasn't paying attention to where he was going and accidentally bumped into Speed who was an Eevee at the time. He apologized to the Eevee and after looking at him, he tried flirting with him not being aware that he's a male. After Speed tells him he isn't a girl and says he hopes he doesn't see him again, he makes his way back to the orphanage but Trace followed him as he apologized for his early flirt attempt and trying to make conversation with him. Trace thought Speed was cool and said they should hang out the next day so he can show him around town. He told him where to meet up and leaves before Speed said anything.
The next day, Trace was waiting at the spot he told Speed to meet him at and was worried if he'd actually come or not but his worries are put to rest when Speed arrives. The two left the meet up spot and there was awkward silence between them so Trace tries to make conversation with him again which he manage to get for a bit. Trace showed Speed around town since he's never explored it so he took him to some of the popular spots like the stores and restaurant. The two had some fun moments like making each other wear dresses or eating at an restaurant where Trace paid for their meal. During that time, Trace asked him if Speed had any friends to which he said he didn't and when he asked him if he considers him a friend, Speed said he doesn't as he doesn't trust him. After eating at the restaurant, the two continued exploring town but with awkward silence between them again. That silence is broken when they hear a commotion happening to which they go where it was coming from. When they got to where the commotion was they saw Shade bullying some of the townsfolk and Speed was about to go and confront him but Trace stopped him as he informed him who he was and told him it was best to avoid him. Speed didn't listen and went up to him but that resulted in him getting beat up by him. Trace watched as Shade beats Speed up and not wanting to watch anymore of this, he told him to stop to which Shade ignored him and tried hitting the Eevee again only for Trace to retaliate by tackling him. Shade didn't like that Trace tackled him and defended Speed so as a result he beats both of them up badly and when they couldn't move anymore, he walks away leaving the two lying down next to each other. Speed thanked Trace for trying to protect him and asked if they can be friends to which he accepted. After that day, the two would hangout a lot to which Robert asks Trace where he's been recently to which he tells him that he's been hanging out with a friend so Robert said he'd like to meet him.
A few days later, Trace introduces Speed to Robert and the two got along pretty well. Robert asked if he wanted to become research fellow for him to which he accepted and so the two were sent on simple task mission for Robert's research like collecting certain stones and other stuff. One day while the two were one a mission, Speed fell into a lake and since he didn't know how to swim, Trace saved him.
A few years go by and during it, Trace had some good and bad moments. Speed and Trace continued to hangout and do more research tasks together. Whenever Trace and Spike run into each other in town, Spike would always mock him much to his dismay. At some point, Trace meets Speed's siblings when he visited the orphanage he lived in and there he gains a crush on Speed's sister, Crystal.
In 2010, when Trace had to go with his dad to another meeting in a city, Speed asked him to ask the city police about his parents to which he does. When he returns to town and meets up with Speed, he breaks the news that his parents are dead. A couple months later before Trace left town again for another meeting with his dad, he saw Speed was upset after seeing some of the townsfolk, specifically children with their parents and tried cheering him up which worked for only a moment. When he was in the city, he decided to go to the police station and ask them about Speed's parents again and learned the two Eeveelutions there were both male. When he got back to Sunny Town, he immediately went looking for Speed and when he found him, he told him this newfound info to which Speed thanks him.
On January, 2012, Trace graduated from school. Even though Trace wanted to become a Rescuer, his father wouldn't let him so he was stuck taking lessons from him every day at some point in the day. Trace didn't like it at all but had to put up with it until in 2014 he saw on the TV a competitive battle happening which made him want to become a competitive battler now. He told his father about this and at first, Robert refused to let him become one but he eventually decided to let him become one under the condition that if he loses in the Regional Conference then he has to give up on competitive battling and become a professor to which he agrees with the conditions.
A few days later, Trace needed to find Pokemon to join his team so he first asked Speed if he wanted to join but to his surprise, he was already on a team with his siblings. While he was a bit upset his friend couldn't become his teammates, he made himself smile by jokingly say that they're rivals now to which Speed humors him. Trace continued trying to find Pokemon that would join his team however most Pokemon either turned him down or say he should become a professor like his dad which hurt him however he does manage to find two Pokemon to join his team. The two Pokemon that joined his team are Gus and Ali. After they joined his team, Trace filled out the paperwork to create a competitive battling team which he calls the "Rising Stars". After submitting the paperwork, a few days later a letter was given to Trace where inside was a form that said that their team is now officially approved and created.
On March 31, Trace along with Gus and Ali left Sunny Town to begin their journey as a competitive battling team.
Trace's Journey In The Beginning, Trace and his team are a rival team to the Eeveelution Squad. Trace and his team would meet up with the Eeveelution Squad throughout their journey in Kanto. While Trace likes Crystal, at some point he blows up at her because she kept tying him to his dad and tells her about why he's a competitive battle.
In Gold and Silver, Trace who has evolved into a Luxio is again a rival with his team to the Eeveelution Squad. During their Johto journey, Trace is so focused on winning and getting stronger because of the deal he made with his dad which causes him to be a bit obsessed. He learns to get over this obsession and to appreciate the journey itself with his teammates. At some point he invites Turbo onto the team (Haven't came up with why yet, still working on it). In the Silver Conference, Speed and Trace actually get to battle each other and he lost.
In Side Stories, after returning from the Silver Conference, Trace was about to give up on competitive battling because of the deal he made with his dad but his teammates convinced him not to and he stood up to his dad. After battling his dad, he lets him be a competitive battler since he saw it was his passion. By the end of the story, Trace evolves into a Luxray.
In Diamond and Pearl, Trace along the rest of his team arrive in Sinnoh to compete in the Sinnoh League. Trace and his team are rivals to the Eeveelution Squad again as well as to Shade's team, the Disaster Bringers. During the Sinnoh journey, Trace and his team run into Spike who he and him would end up fighting. After some fighting and Trace learning a bit about Spike's issues, he invites him on the team and while he accepted, the two would often bicker and fight with each other to the point where they would at one point get into a serious fight. Trace does manage to get Spike to respect him after he sees how much he cares about him and say he's better than Shade even if he loses.
In Black & White, Trace along with the rest of his team are rivals once again to the Eeveelution Squad in Unova. During their Unova journey, Trace lets Hydra join their team. The Eeveelution Squad and Rising Stars have a fierce rivalry with each other trying to see which team is the better one before the Vertress Conference.
In XY, once again Trace and his team are rivals to the Eeveelution Squad in Kalos. During their Kalos journey, Trace along with Spike get a Mega Stone and train to learn how to use Mega Evolution (I know Luxray doesn't have a Mega Evolution but for ES Journeys every Pokemon has a Mega Evolved form).
In Master Journeys, Trace and his team are one of several teams the Eeveelution Squad faced in the past that they would face in the World Championship Series. They battle with the Eeveelution Squad in the Ultra Class.
And that's all I have to say about Trace the Shinx in ES Journeys. Again there's some minor stuff I didn't mention but might be said in another post. Anyway hope you guys liked this info dump on him. So how was the first post on a rival character of ES Journeys? Did you like what I did with him or no? Let me know in comments and let me know who else would you like to hear about for ES Journeys. Until then, have a good day everyone. See ya.

ES Journeys Main Cast: Silvia the Sylveon
Hello everyone again. Today I'm talking about the last of the main cast of ES Journeys (Not really because Axel but just wanted to do the main 9 first) so this post will be about Silvia.
Remember that the main thing you should know about my version of the cast is that they are supposed to be as closely accurate to how they were in the comic in terms of personality and backstory as possible while also changing things to improve them by adding, removing, or expanding things about them.
Now without further ado, here's Journeys Silvia.
(Note: Not everything is fully fleshed out. These are just the main ideas I have and am currently trying to flesh out)
Silvia Silvia is a well known character for a couple of reasons. She's known for flirting with boys, her friendship with Crystal and Lazuli, having Gai as her older brother, friends with Manaphy, her weird yellow eyes thing that seem like a joke but is actually a power she has, and her romance with Silvia which is also toxic and contradicting.
Yeah... Silvia has some interesting stuff but a lot of it is pushed to side because of Eeveelution Squad is a Speed's harem romance plot. Bleh! Anyway I plan on giving Silvia some extra stuff and actually do stuff with her.
Personality Silvia is more or less the same as she is in the comics. She's cheerful and energetic, always having a smile on her face. She can also be a bit mischievous sometimes as she would sometimes pull harmless pranks off with Crystal. Despite that she cares about those she cherishes and does what she can to help.
Silvia can be pretty flirty. During Silvia's childhood she flirted with boys a lot by using Attract on them as she liked the attention she got from them. This behavior of her's can get her into trouble a lot and luckily she stops doing this after Kalos. After Kalos she stops but does it in situations where she has to do it.
Silvia has had feelings for Speed since her childhood and even after moving away to Kalos she still felt love for him. When she reunites with him in Kalos, she really wanted to get together with him again despite Speed showing he doesn't feel the same way. Silvia does get jealous a little of Lazuli trying to make advancements on him but doesn't really do anything crazy.
Silvia had a strong fear of heights after an incident in her childhood. Whenever she sees she's at a high place she instantly holds onto someone tightly and cries. She does get over this fear eventually.
Silvia is alright with battling but during Kalos she liked doing Pokemon Showcases more.
When it comes Sylvia and the subject of moms, Silvia is a little sensitive about her. Since Silvia was still an egg when her mom left she never got to meet her or know her and whenever she asked her dad or brother about her they wouldn't or couldn't give a good enough answer. She wonders who her mom was and why did she leave her and the rest of her family. The lack of maternal love in her life is the reason why Silvia started flirting with boys and using Attract on them. Despite lacking a motherly figure in her life, she's really good with kids as shown with Sunshine and Mana.
Silvia likes to sing. An early dream of her's was becoming a pop star and she is a really good singer. She did covers of songs that she posts on her Poketube channel. Silvia can write original songs like the Eeveelution Squad's theme song, "To be the Greatest Team" (I'm not a music writer so the Eeveelution Squad's theme song is just the Pokemon anime's Japanese opening, "Aim to be a Pokemon Master").
Silvia likes collection Pokemon plushies.
Moves, Ability, and Battle Style Silvia in this AU is much stronger than her comic counterpart as she actually fights however there is one change. The yellow eye thing she had in the comics that made her strong enough to lift a Luxray, Absol, and Hydriegon as well as the entire main cast is not part of her in ES Journeys.
Silvia's battle style is pretty generic with her her using a mix of physical and ranged attacks. Despite that having a basic battle style, Silvia uses moves like Attract and Baby-Doll Eyes to make her opponents lower their guard so that they're open to an attack.
Silvia uses her ribbon feelers to her advantage as it allows her to grab things from afar for offensive or defensive purposes however if she stretches them too much it'll begin to hurt. Silvia's feelers can also help her understand how someone is feeling by wrapping one of them around a Pokemon.
Silvia has a wide array of Fairy-Type moves as well as other Type moves. Her movelist and when they're learned: -Tackle (XY) -Attract (XY) -Baby-Doll Eyes (XY) -Covet (XY) -Draining Kiss (XY) -Disarming Voice (XY) -Fairy Wind (XY) -Moonblast (XY) -Alluring Voice (SM) -Dazzling Gleam (SWSH) -Misty Terrain (MJ) -Misty Explosion (MJ) -Twinkle Tackle (SM; Z-Move) -Max Strike (SWSH; Dynamax) -Max Starfall (SWSH; Dynamax)
Silvia's ability is Cute Charm. When a Pokemon makes contact with Silvia she can activate this ability to make the opponent infatuated with her.
Silvia's Backstory Silvia hatched on March 27, 2001. She lived in Sunny Town with her dad, Frank and her older brother, Gai who is three years older than her.
Throughout Silvia's early childhood she mostly spent it alone as Frank was busy with doing classes at home while Gai was in school. While Frank and Gai do give her love and attention, something felt missing for Silvia and that was the love from a mother. When she asks Gai about their mom he says he doesn't know much and when she goes to ask Frank he dodges the question.
On April of 2004, Silvia attends school for the first time. While there she became friends with a Vulpix named Nora and a Skitty named Daisy. A few years later, Silvia learns Attract and she decided to use it on the boys of the school to give her attention as a way to fill in the missing love from a mom. Over the years many boys fell for Silvia after she used Attract on them with one of them being Hydra and while Silvia loved the attention she was getting it still wasn't enough to fill in that missing thing. Due to having so many boys wanting her, Frank had Gai watch over her in and after school however he's often doing his own thing with flirting with other girls.
In 2011 one day, Silvia meets Speed for the first time who was with Trace and recognizes him as the Eevee who stood up to Shade. She attempts to make Speed fall for him with Attract but is surprised to see that it didn't work. As she left him alone, she was interested with Speed not falling for him unlike the rest of the guys. A week later, Silvia would run into Speed again and when she uses Attract again and it fails, he asked her why she did that to which she responds saying it was a test which weirds him out and makes him leave but Silvia's interest him increased.
One day Silvia wandered south of Sunny Town and was at a coast where there was a cave close by. When Silvia goes in the cave she saw a Manaphy and was amazed by the sight of it. She approaches the Mythical Pokemon but when it saw her it was scared but Silvia reassured her she wasn't going to hurt them. She introduces herself to the Manaphy and the Mythical Pokemon didn't have a name to introduce themselves as they reveal they hatched yesterday. Silvia names the Manaphy as Mana and when she asks the Manaphy where it plans on staying it said they wanted to stay in the cave so Silvia said she'd help decorate it.
Silvia went back to town to get some help with decorating the cave but unfortunately Gai, Nora, and Daisy were too busy to help. She soon finds Speed with Trace and asks him to help to which he said he will after being convinced by Trace she and him went to the coast. Silvia introduces Speed to Mana which shocks him and he tells Silvia that it's best that Mana's existence should remain between them since it might be dangerous if too many people knew about Mana which she realized he was right. After that the two helped decorate the cave with stuff Silvia brought. After they finished decorating the cave the two talked for a bit and then Silvia thanked Speed for helping and starts to look at him lovingly which he notices. When Speed asked why she was looking at him like that, Silvia said she's starting to like him. Ever since that day, Silvia often hung out with Speed and would often tease that they're dating which Speed denies every time.
One day, Shade attempted to get rid of Speed by hiring a criminal Fearow to kidnap him however due to Shade not anticipating Silvia being with him, the Fearow took the wrong Eevee. Silvia was scared as she was kidnapped but was luckily saved by Speed however this incident made her develop a fear of heights.
On January 22, 2013, Silvia graduated from school. While she wasn't exactly sure what she wanted to do for her future, she decided to try to become a pop star so she often did covers for songs that she'd upload onto her Poketube channel to build her following.
A few days after graduating, Silvia learned that Speed's birthday was coming up so she got him a scarf and as she thought of all the times she spent with him, she eventually realizes she genuinely does love him which causes her to evolve into a Sylveon.
In April, Frank after officially becoming a professor and finding a place for his lab in Kalos of Lumiose City, he told Silvia and Gai that they're leaving Sunny Town so they packed their things up. A few days later after shipping their stuff to Kalos, with only a few hours left in Sunny Town before heading to the airport, Silvia went around to say goodbye to Pokemon she knows like Nora and Daisy, Mana, and most importantly Speed who in her final moments with him gave him a kiss on the lips. After that, Silvia leaves Sunny Town and the Kanto region and moves to Lumiose City in Kalos.
Some time has passed and Silvia and her family have settled into their new home in Kalos. Silvia continued making more song cover videos and while she enjoyed the new city, she missed the Pokemon she knew in Kanto. She also missed Speed as her feelings for him hasn't left and wouldn't leave for many years. Some years go by and soon some Pokemon that Silvia knew moved to Kalos with Nora and Daisy moving into Lumiose City together and Mana managing to make it to Shalour City with Silvia helping it set up its new cave home.
In March of 2018, when Gai was watching that year's Vertress Conference on TV, she saw Speed battling and was surprised to see him.
In October of 2018 when the Eeveelution Squad arrive in Kalos for the first time and were in Lumiose City, she reunites with Speed after so many years and meets the rest of the Eeveelution Squad who she knows of thanks to Gai. Before the team left Lumiose City to start their Kalos journey, Silvia wanted to join them as she thought adventuring with them would be fun but for a personal reason, she wanted to try to get with Speed again for real this time.
Silvia's Journey In XY, Silvia makes her debut and is the last newest member to join the Eeveelution Squad. Silvia unintentionally causes trouble within the team as Lazuli and Pearl get jealous of her and her flirting behavior can get her and the rest of the team in trouble. Silvia makes an attempt to get with Speed again for real this time however Speed doesn't feel the same way and she has to learn to accept that he doesn't like her that way. Silvia takes part in Pokemon Showcase where she leads the girls of the team and has a rivalry with other Performance Teams like Nora and Daisy's, Flora and Cream's, and Sylvia's which she doesn't know that she is her mother.
In Sun & Moon, Silvia learns to appreciate life as well as the Pokemon around her which is her team who she starts to see as family. Also before the team's Alola journey started, Silvia asked her dad if there was a place where the team could stay in the region longer to which Frank gave her the keys to his summer house and said they can stay in it for as long as they stay in the region.
In Master Journeys, just like with the rest, Silvia was against the team splitting up to train but is convinced that it's best for the team if they want to get through the Ultra Class in the World Championship Series.
With that done, that is all for Journeys Silvia. What do you think of her? Leave your thoughts for me to read.
Well that's it. Now that Silvia's post is done that is all the main cast (Again not counting Axel as I wanted to do the first 9 Eeveelutions) for ES Journeys. So what do you think of my takes on the Eeveelution Squad's main cast? I really did try with making the characters be better in terms of role, portrayal, and just overall being better than how they were in the comic while fixing their flaws while also making them fit with the AU setting of a Shounen competitive battling story. I really hope you all like my versions of the characters.
Despite being done with original 9, there are still plenty of other ES characters to talk about from the non Eeveelution side characters like Trace and Spike to the parents like Brian, Bolt, Rin, Alfred, Sylvia, and etc. If there's an ES character you wanna hear about in my AU then let me know and I'll most likely make a post about them. With all that being said, see ya everyone!

ES Journeys Main Cast: Black the Umbreon
Hello, hello! Back again to talk about another character of the main cast of ES Journeys. This post is about Black.
Remember that the main thing you should know about my version of the cast is that they are supposed to be as closely accurate to how they were in the comic in terms of personality and backstory as possible while also changing things to improve them by adding, removing, or expanding things about them.
Now without further ado, here's Journeys Black.
(Note: Not everything is fully fleshed out. These are just the main ideas I have and am currently trying to flesh out)
Black Black is a pretty popular character and is known for many things. He's known for being the most serious member of the group, seen as an "edgelord" by some fans (He's not), his friendship with Speed, being the victim of Pearl's yandere behavior in the early chapters (They weren't funny and never will be... Looking at you ESLC Pearl) and the whole Pearl x Black ship, and most importantly his tragic past where he lost his parents and then his brother.
While Black probably has the best writing out of all the members of the cast thanks to Silver-Synthesis who helped EV with SC10 he still feels underutilized just like with most of the members of the group. Black will have a more active role in ES Journeys.
Personality Black's personality remains the same as the comic. He's the most quiet and serious out of all the members of the group. He often avoids getting into trouble but if he sees someone getting picked on he would usually step in to help. Despite his serious exterior he does have a soft side as he cares for his friends and is willing to do anything to protect them just like with Speed and Lazuli
When Black first joined the team was a bit too serious as he mainly focused on training and didn't join in with the rest of team with their shenanigans. This changes though thanks to Crystal as she managed to get Black to lighten up and not take everything so seriously. Black while still serious would join the rest of the team in whatever they were doing.
Black has a hatred for two things: Rescuers and lies. Black doesn't like lies as he had bad experiences with them from Frost and Speed. The bad experiences made Black hold a grudge against Speed during Sinnoh but he eventually forgave him after the two encountered each other several times and talked. Ever since he lost his parents in his early childhood he hated Rescuers because they couldn't save them in time and blames them for their parents being dead. Whenever Black sees a corrupt Rescuer it gets him angry but he never shows it in public. Black does learn to get over his hatred for Rescuers eventually.
Black tends to keep stuff about his family to himself mostly because it's a sensitive subject and he doesn't know if he can trust others after being lied to before in the past. He does learn to open himself up to others thanks to members of the Eeveelution Squad. Black keeps his brother's red scarf with him as he travels as a way of remembering him.
Black has a guitar that he plays sometimes whenever he's alone.
Moves, Ability, and Battle Style Black in this AU is a lot stronger than his comic counterpart as while both of them trained, this version of him actually gets to use his training and skills in battle.
Black has a generic battle style like Crystal and Flare. Using a mix of physical and ranged moves in his battles.
When Black learns Psychic, Pearl teaches him how to use it and how to redirect attacks.
Black has a wide array of Dark-Type moves as well as other Type moves. Her movelist and when they're learned: -Quick Attack (DP) -Double Kick (DP) -Payback (DP) -Shadow Ball (DP) -Flash (DP) -Dark Pulse (DP) -Psychic (DP) -Sucker Punch (XY) -Throat Chop (SM) -Foul Play (MJ) -Black Hole Eclipse (SM; Z-Move) -Max Strike (SWSH; Dynamax) -Max Darkness (SWSH; Dynamax) -Max Phantasm (SWSH; Dynamax) -Max Mindstorm (SWSH; Dynamax) -Max Knuckle (SWSH; Dynamax)
Black's ability is Inner Focus. When Black is in battle and he is in intense focus, the ability activates and it makes him not flinch from any attack and raises his reflexes.
Black's Backstory Black hatched on January 22, 2000. He lived with his parents, Alexander and Sadie as well as his older brother, Frost who was five years older than him. Black and his family lived in a wealthy house in Sunny Town as his dad worked at Silph Co. in Saffron city.
Black had a nice childhood as he spent it with his brother and his parents. On April of 2003, Black attended school for the first time.
On August of 2004, Black and his family visited Alexander at work and after he clocked out, the family spent time walking around Saffron City for a bit before deciding to return home via. During the bus ride home, the bus unexpectedly stopped as the tires were now flat but luckily they weren't too far from Sunny Town as it was just an hour long walk so the family decided to walk there. During the walk the family heard noises coming from the woods to the sides of the path and were soon ambushed by Team Rocket members who wanted to take Alexander to help them with something but instead he fought the members off while telling Sadie to run with the kids. As Sadie ran some Team Rocket members went after them and Black was terrified by what was happening. Sadie managed to avoid them a few times and ran into the woods where after finding a safe spot, puts Black and Frost down. She tells Frost to take Black back to Sunny Town and to not look back and before leaving she said she loved them one last time before telling them to go. Frost listened to his mom and carried Black away while Black cried to his mom and that was the last time he saw her and his dad. The two eventually made it to Sunny Town and the townsfolk asked them what happened to which they said their parents are in trouble so Rescuers were sent out. Black hoped the Rescuers could save his parents but eventually they came back and reported that Alexander and Sadie were dead. A few days go by and during that time, Black thought back to the event and became angry as had the Rescuers been sent out earlier before he and Frost made it back to town then their parents would've still been alive. Soon a funeral at the Pokemon Tower in Lavender Town was held for Alexander and Sadie which Black and Frost attended.
Following this tragedy, Black became less joyful and had a more serious tone. He started focusing on school a lot and soon became one of the top students there. Black also started taking battle class really seriously and would win in a lot of the sparring sessions, usually against Tyrant who would get mad every time he loses since he used to be the best in that class and saw Black as nothing but a weakling. Whenever he sees a Rescuer, Black would often glare at them with hatred which is something Frost takes notice. When Frost asked him why he hates Rescuers, Black tells him the same thing of what he thought back home with the Rescuers not coming fast enough to save their parents which is something that would stay in his head.
In April of 2010, Black saved Pearl from some bullies from school and unbeknownst to him, she developed a crush on him. A few days later he met Gus and he would become his friend even though Black didn't say anything back but didn't bother with making him go away and just accepted him being around.
One month later after school, Black was walking around Sunny Town but saw a Hydriegon in an alley. As Black approached the Pokemon it suddenly lunges and attacks him but before Black would get hurt, Frost who is a Glaceon now saves him by freezing the Pokemon in ice. Black was about to thank his brother for saving him but noticed he was wearing a Rescuer Badge on his scarf and got mad as he called his brother a liar since after he graduated he told Black that he was taking a job as a postmon. Frost explains himself to Black about why he became a Rescuer as he said that what he said to him about the Rescuers not coming sooner to save their parents years ago was true and he doesn't want anyone to go through the same pain they went through. Black forgave his brother for lying but Frost lying wouldn't be forgotten by him.
In March of 2011, Black was walking back home from school and runs into Speed who fell in front of him as he was still recovering from his injuries from another fight he had with Shade. Black helps him back up and asked why he didn't stay home to which Speed said he wanted to check on his Glaceon friend. When Black asked if he was talking about Frost and Speed said yes, the two had a nice conversation about him. After some chatting, Speed decided to go but before he did Black asked him for his name to which Speed said his name was "Alan". When Black ran into Speed who is injured again and asked why he was hurt to which he said he got into a fight, Black teaches him how to defend himself.
A few days later in battle class, Black and Tyrant were in another sparring match and unsurprisingly, Black won again. Tyrant was salty about losing again and refused to believe a weakling like Black could beat him unless he did something. Tyrant stole a slip for an S-Ranked Rescuer mission and told Black that if he completed it then he'll accept that he's not a weakling. Gus tells him not to do it but Tyrant taunts Black by saying the Rescuers are better than him which ticks him off a bit and so, Black accepts the request.
After school, Black left Sunny Town and went to the spot in the woods that the request said where a bunch of stolen items are at that were guarded by a group of criminal Pokemon. Black snuck around the criminals and was about to grab the item but was caught by a Machoke who had a strong hold on him. Before anything bad could happen, Frost managed to save him and before Black passes out he watches his brother fend off the criminals from touching him.
Hours later it was evening and Black wakes up to see the path to Sunny Town. When he turned around he saw Frost who was laying against a tree bleeding. Frost was glad to see his brother was unharmed while Black panicked with his brother's condition. Black tried lifting Frost up to carry him to town but Frost tells him it's no use as he's too heavy for him and he's been in this condition for a while now. Black apologizes to Frost for he tells him it wasn't his fault. Frost with what little strength he had left gave his brother his damaged red scarf and made him promise to live a happy life before passing away right before Black's eyes. When Black returned to town he told the Rescuers that Frost had died and said where his body was before returning home. The next couple of days would be Black and Tyrant getting in trouble as Black was responsible for Frost's death and Tyrant was stealing S-Ranked Rescuer requests. Fortunately both of them were not going to jail due to being young but had a strict lecture. After this Tyrant was expelled from school while Black didn't go back to there for a couple of days.
During Black's grieving, he didn't leave his house and didn't do almost anything while there. One day during the evening he decided to leave the house and wandered around town and as he did that many of the townsfolk asked if he was alright to which he didn't answer. Black stops at a bench and sat there for a while doing nothing that is until Speed approached him. Speed sat next to Black on the bench and the two talked with Speed saying he was sorry for Black's loss. Black was in a negative headspace saying stuff like how their world is nothing but pain and that he's all alone but Speed makes him snap out of that mindset by telling him that there's hope and that he has all his friends like him and Gus. Speed optimism cheered Black up a little. When Speed asked what Black planned on doing now and he said he wasn't sure, Speed suggested he works as a postmon when he graduates. When Black decided it was time to go back home, Speed decided to walk with him.
Following that day, Black went back to school feeling a little better now and even though every time he returned home it was lonely, Speed as Alan was there to keep him company. The two would often meet at the bench where they talked whenever they hang out. Sometimes Speed was injured again and so Black decided to teach Speed how to defend himself. Black considered Speed as Alan as his closest friend.
On January 22, 2012, Black graduated from school. After graduation he returned home and when he went inside, Speed who was a Jolteon was there to celebrate his birthday. The two had a good time and once it turned night and Speed left, Black went to his room where he saw a scrapbook of picture of his family and seeing them made him happy. His happiness resulted in him evolving into an Umbreon. A few days later, Black became a postmon and worked alongside Speed.
Over the months, Speed and Black's friendship has grown strong as the two would hangout often, train together, and sometimes get competitive with each other while at work. One day when Black was waiting for Speed at their usual meet up spot at the bench, Speed didn't arrive for some time which got him worried if his friend got into another fight. Black left the spot and searched around town for Speed. After some time, he managed to find him as he saw that he was fighting Shade again. Black was about to step in to help but when Shade refer Speed by his real name instead "Alan" that confused him but after some thinking, Black realized that Speed lied to him about who he really was. After Speed beat Shade and the Absol limps away, Black went over to him him and confronted him about how he lied to him about who he truly was. Speed tried explaining himself but was too worn out from the fight and Black didn't want to hear anything as he then walked away from him, leaving him standing all alone.
When Black returned home after storming off from Speed, he was mad that another Pokemon he trusted lied to him. He looked back at everything major thing that happened to him while in Kanto from his parents' death, Frost lying to him about being a Rescuer, and now Speed lying about who he was and Black was done with everything. Black wanted to leave Kanto as nothing but bad things has happened to him here so over the past few weeks he began packing his stuff up and selling the house. During that time, Black didn't bother looking or talking to Speed. Soon Black finished packing and he leaves Sunny Town as he moves to a new region which is the Sinnoh region.
Black's new home was in Sunyshore City as he lived in an apartment. While for first few months living there was alright, soon Black started feeling lonely as he has no one with him. Black tried getting over this feeling by doing stuff to pass the time like teaching himself how to play guitar but it didn't work. This lonely feeling makes Black often leave his own apartment for a few days a week as he travels around Sinnoh on his own.
In 2016 when the Eeveelution Squad were in Sinnoh they run into Black and when he saw Speed again he still wasn't happy to see him.
Black's Journey In Diamond and Pearl, Black makes his debut. When the Eeveelution Squad first run into him he doesn't join the team right away unlike Pearl, Leaf, and Lazuli. Black is a reoccurring character prior to joining the team. In Sinnoh, Black learns to let go of the past with Speed's lying to him and move to a brighter future by joining the Eeveelution Squad. When he joins the team, he is a bit too serious at first however Crystal helps him with that by having a talk with him and constantly dragging him into things the team does. Black has a rivalry with Tyrant who is a Hitmonlee on Shade's team.
In Battle Frontier, Black learns to let go of his hatred for Rescuers. (This needs some cooking still but that's the idea).
In XY, when SIlvia joins the team Black develops feelings for her and tries to be with her but Pearl's jealousy tends to ruin his attempts. Eventually Black had enough of Pearl's jealousy so he confronts her about it and refuses to speak with her until she learns what she did wrong. Eventually Pearl apologizes and the two repaired their friendship. When Black confesses to Silvia and she turns him down, Black's feelings for her doesn't go and he continues trying to get with her but Pearl gets him to stop by talking with him about not wanting to ruin their friendship with each other.
In Sun & Moon, Black learns to appreciate life as well as the Pokemon around him which is his team who he starts to see as family. During the Alola journey, Black gets to reunite with Frost and his parents thanks to Tapu Fini and manages to get closure with them.
In Master Journeys, when Speed tells the team that they would split up to train for a couple of months, while Black was surprised by the order he understood why Speed told everyone this. He convinces Pearl that this is for the best for the team if they wanna get through the Ultra Class of the World Championship Series.
So with all that said, that's all for Journeys Black. What do you think of him? Leave your thoughts for me to read. The next post will be about Journeys Silvia so until then, bye!

ES Journeys Main Cast: Lazuli the Glaceon
Hey y'all, I'm back again to continue talking about the next character of the main cast for ES Journeys which for this post it's about Lazuli.
Remember that the main thing you should know about my version of the cast is that they are supposed to be as closely accurate to how they were in the comic in terms of personality and backstory as possible while also changing things to improve them by adding, removing, or expanding things about them.
Now without further ado, here's Journeys Lazuli.
(Note: Not everything is fully fleshed out. These are just the main ideas I have and am currently trying to flesh out)
Lazuli Lazuli is a pretty well known character for many reasons that for better or worse, mostly worse. She's known for being a tsundere and violent, hitting Speed as gag (It's not funny), being Leaf's older sister and sharing the same backstory as her, and her very controversial ship with Speed with it being toxic and having bad writing.
To be honest, most of the things Lazuli is known for is pretty bad and I know she has her fans but there's a bunch of people who don't like how she was written and that includes me. Lazuli writing is bad or rushed from how she was a violent tsundere towards Speed to the stuff in the vacation arc and literally her character revolves around Speed entirely. I plan on giving Lazuli better writing for her character in ES Journeys.
Personality I feel I need to explain the thinking behind making her personality. So we all know Lazuli was an aggressive person in the comic and people have a problem with that, rightfully so with how she hits Speed. The most obvious change would just be making her nice but I have an issue with this kind of change because making her nice makes her very uninteresting. Lazuli in Tomorrow Light is nice and to me, she felt uninteresting and boring. She doesn't have much unique dynamics with others and I don't like that. So making Lazuli aggressive is bad and making Lazuli nice is also bad (to me though) so what do I do? Read below to see.
So Lazuli's personality is similar to her comic self at the beginning of the story where she doesn't trust anyone and is aggressive but this time it's towards everyone. She's hotheaded and aggressive so she'll get angry quickly and snap at anyone who talks to her. When she joined the Eeveelution Squad she was still aggressive around them and would often snap at them as well, especially towards Speed which then leads to them constantly fighting verbally and physically (It's not a one sided abuse from Lazuli, think of their fighting as the fights Natsu and Gray do in Fairy Tail) so Pearl would often be the one who stops them. Lazuli does becomes more trusting of others and less hotheaded and aggressive over the course of the Sinnoh journey and beyond but will occasionally have those two bits of herself pop up every once in a while.
Lazuli was also rebellious towards the team when she joined as she doesn't listen to them and often does her own thing in battle even though Speed and the others had a plan. Doing her own thing often lead to her losing battles a lot so she had to learn that she has to listen to her team.
Despite her rude behavior, Lazuli is actually a quiet and socially awkward Pokemon. Since she was pushed everyone away because of her aggressive behavior she didn't really have any friends so she didn't know how to act in a social setting or around other Pokemon who are nice to her. This changes though when she befriended Crystal. She learned how to be social and how to have fun thanks to her.
Lazuli in the beginning of Sinnoh was very closed-hearted and distrustful of others. She doesn't open up to anyone and has trouble trusting others since her own father abandoned her so she didn't trust anyone except Leaf. Even when she met and joined the Eeveelution Squad she didn't trust any of them and only joined them because she wanted to look after Leaf. This changes though as after she breaks down and reveals her past to Speed (Basically SC8 but NO ROMANCE) she learns to become more open and trustful of others which is only boosted thanks to Crystal.
When it comes to battling, Lazuli loves it while Contest she's okay with but would much rather prefer doing the former.
Lazuli has a strong drive to protect those she cares about, especially her friends and family which is a trait she shares with Speed and Black. She gained this trait after she and Leaf got kicked out by Alfred as she promised to protect her sister no matter what. When she joins the Eeveelution Squad and bonded with the members of it she began to care for them and would also try to protect them as well.
Lazuli is one of the smarter members of the team. While Speed is smart when it comes science, Lazuli is smart when it comes to history. From reading a bunch of books, she knows a lot about regions from their myths and legends to the history and culture of them.
Lazuli loves to read books, especially history books.
Moves, Ability, and Battle Style Lazuli in this AU is stronger than her comic counterpart as she actually battles and isn't just a "comedic abuser".
Lazuli's battle style involves her fighting physically with punches which is based on how Lazuli punches Speed which isn't funny btw. Lazuli is physically the strongest member of the Eeveelution Squad. Despite mostly fighting up close she does uses ranged moves to keep her distance when she needs to.
Lazuli has a wide array of Ice-Type moves as well as other Type moves. Her movelist and when they're learned: -Tackle (DP) -Double Kick (DP) -Ice Beam (DP) -Ice Shard (DP) -Ice Punch (DP) -Water Pulse (DP) -Take Down (BW) -Blizzard (BW) -Triple Axel (SWSH) -Double-Edge (MJ) -Giga Impact (MJ) -Subzero Slammer (SM; Z-Move) -All-Out-Pummeling (SM; Z-Move) -Max Strike (SWSH; Dynamax) -Max Hailstorm (SWSH; Dynamax) -Max Knuckle (SWSH; Dynamax) -Max Geyser (SWSH; Dynamax)
Lazuli's ability is Ice Body. If a Pokemon makes physical contact with Lazuli then she can activate her ability to freeze the part of the body that touched her in ice.
Lazuli's Backstory Lazuli hatched on March 3, 2001. She hatched seven days before Leaf did. She and her sister were raised by Lapis and Alfred in the Sinnoh region and lived close to Sandgem Town.
Lazuli had a good childhood where she mostly spent it being with her sister and mom. Lazuli spent a lot of her time reading. Due to Alfred going on Rescuer missions often which takes a couple of days, Lazuli was upset that he couldn't be with her. On April of 2004, Lazuli attended school in Sandgem Town along with her sister for the first time.
In 2006 during summer break, Lapis planned a family event where they'd all go to Lake Verity to have a picnic which got her and Leaf excited. Unfortunately Alfred called Lapis to let her know that he couldn't make it due to his Rescuer mission lasting longer than expected so when she broke the news to the girls they were upset with Lazuli being more upset about it than Leaf. On the day of the event as the family went to Lake Verity, Lazuli was upset the entire way there and even when they got there she still was upset. When Lapis asked what was wrong, Lazuli yelled about Alfred not being with them before running off. Eventually she stopped running and soon was found by Leaf who she then talked with. Lazuli told her sister that she thinks Alfred doesn't love them and was visibly upset by this thought but Leaf manages to cheer her up. After thanking her sister she went back to where Lapis is to apologize for yelling at her. When Leaf came back to them and said she saw something at the lake, Lazuli thought she was seeing things.
One day when Alfred was home but was about to leave to go on another Rescuer mission, Lazuli went over to him and asked him why he keeps leaving. Alfred tries to have her go back to whatever she was doing before but she persisted. Alfred decided to answer her, saying he has a dangerous job where he takes down bad Pokemon. Lazuli asked him why he was doing this to which he tells her he's doing this to protect them and tells her the importance of protecting the ones they care about. Lazuli didn't understand to which Alfred said she'll understand when she gets older before leaving.
Two months later, Lazuli and Leaf were playing outside the house while Alfred was inside sleeping. The two heard the sound of a window breaking so they stopped playing and checked inside to which they find Lapis dead on the floor. The two started crying and shortly after, Alfred rushed into the room to see them crying and Lapis dead on the floor. He tells the girls to leave the house and hits Lazuli to a wall as he then threatens to burn them if he saw them again so the two sisters ran out of the house and started running away.
The sisters ran as fast and far as they can go and soon stopped in the forest by an rundown cabin that's outside of Oreburgh City. Lazuli helps comfort her sister, promising that she'll protect her and the two began gathering some things they'll need. Soon they come across the rundown cabin and decided to stay in there.
A year has passed since she and Leaf ran away from home. During that time they managed to clean up and fix up the cabin. Lazuli after some time has passed grew angry at the fact Alfred abandoned them and had a deep hatred for him now. The two visited Oreburgh City for the first time during that time as well and they saw there was a school there so they decided to enroll in it. On April of 2007 the two attended Oreburgh School.
While Leaf managed to make plenty of friends and had fun in school, Lazuli was a loner while there as she often scared anyone who approached her so nobody tried talking to her. Despite not having anyone to talk to other than her sister, Lazuli does overhear conversations about stuff like competitive battling and someone named Cynthia. Lazuli would get in trouble in school from time to time due to her now aggressive behavior as she would often threaten other students with violence or go too far in battle class. While most students didn't try talking to her, one student did which was Spike who Leaf had befriended. When Leaf introduced him to her, Lazuli was rude towards him however Spike didn't mind and fell in love with her because of her nasty attitude. Following this first meeting, Spike would often be around her or follow her while he in his own way acted overprotective over Lazuli which weirded her out.
Since Lazuli settled into the cabin, she has always been interested with Mt. Coronet as it was an important landmark and she wanted to see what was at the top. Leaf tells her not to go there as she's worried it's dangerous and that she might get hurt to which she listened to her sister. Even though Lazuli said she wouldn't go, her fascination with Mt. Coronet got the better of her so one day she left the cabin to head to there without telling Leaf. Lazuli headed to Mt. Coronet on foot and it wasn't an easy or safe trip. Walking to there took a couple of days so she would camp out. Eventually she got to the mountain started climbing it but as she was climbing it began to get colder and snow started to come down. Lazuli was freezing but didn't want to turn back after coming so close so she knew she needed to do something quick before she freezes to death. She looks around and finds an Ice Rock which she touches to evolve into a Glaceon. With her new form and resistance to the cold, Lazuli resumed climbing the mountain and after some time it stopped snowing and she finally reached the top.
As Lazuli was on the peak of the mountain she was greeted with the sight of ruins. She looked around the place for a bit but stopped when she heard someone coming up. She ran over to one of the pillars and hid behind it to hide from whoever was coming. After some time hiding, Lazuli peeked out from the pillar and saw that another Pokemon was here which was a female Garchomp who was examining the ruins of the place. Wanting to get a better look at this Pokemon, Lazuli tried sneaking closer but ended up making noise by accidentally kicking a small rock. The Garchomp heard the noise and Lazuli quickly hid back behind the pillar hoping the stranger didn't come over to where she was but unfortunately for her, she did and found her. Lazuli instantly becomes aggressive towards the Garchomp and threatens to hurt them but the stranger managed to calm her down as she assures her that she's not going to hurt her. The Garchomp introduces herself as Cynthia which Lazuli sort of recognized the name and she asks her what she was doing here all alone to which she says she just wanted to check the place out. Cynthia told Lazuli that she was at Spear Pillar and then began telling her about the history and legend of this place. As Cynthia was explained to her, Lazuli was really interested in with the history of this place which she says to her. After Cynthia finished telling her about Spear Pillar, Lazuli thought it was time for her to go and thanked Cynthia for telling her about the place but before she left, Cynthia decided to drive her back to Oreburgh City after learning she walked from there to Mt. Coronet. Couple of hours later the two made it to Oreburgh City and before Cynthia left she gave Lazuli a book on Sinnoh's history. After that, Cynthia drove away and Lazuli began heading home after being away for several days.
When Lazuli got back home, she reunites with Leaf but doesn't recognize her at first due to her being a Leafeon now. Leaf didn't recognize her own sister either but after some clearing up, the younger sister hugged Lazuli as she cries saying she was worried about her. Lazuli who was feeling bad for making her sister feel this way promised to not leave her alone again.
Ever since Lazuli got that history book from Cynthia and read it she became a fan of history as she would read a lot of history books.
On January 22, 2013, Lazuli and Leaf graduated from school. Lazuli knew she needed a job to make money so she decided to become a postmon. While she was doing her job, Lazuli wanted Leaf to stay at the cabin as she didn't want her to be in trouble in the city while she's busy doing work. Unfortunately for Lazuli, Spike also became a postmon a few weeks after she became one and would often try to work together with her but she would usually just run off. Sometimes during break or after work, Lazuli would stop by the Oreburgh Gym to watch the battle that was happening. Lazuli has considered becoming a competitive battler but didn't want to leave her sister behind and be far away from her.
On June of 2016, Lazuli was assigned a special task where she had to go to Sandgem Town to deliver a package for Professor Rowan. On her way there she stopped by the cabin to make sure Leaf was alright and when she asked her if she can come with her, she allowed her to. The two made it Sandgem Town and after delivering the package, Lazuli wanted to go home but Leaf convinced her to look around for a bit. As they looked around the town, they saw a competitive battle team who were just about to leave town but two members got into a fight and one of them ran off. Leaf wanted to help but Lazuli didn't as it wasn't their problem but Leaf went after the Pokemon who ran off anyway while Lazuli stayed behind and talked with the other Pokemon about why he was fighting with his teammate. Lazuli confronts the Pokemon as he was the reason why the other Pokemon got mad and told him to make things right before going after her sister. Lazuli finds Leaf and the Pokemon she went after and they returned back to town where the other Pokemon apologized to the other. After the two Pokemon thanked the sisters, they returned back to their cabin where on their beds when Leaf asked if they'll be able to go on more adventures like that in future Lazuli says only time will tell.
A few weeks later after Lazuli clocked out of work and began running back home in a hurry to make sure Leaf was alright and in her hurry she accidentally tackles Speed who was looking for Flare to which she quickly apologizes and runs off (CH1 reference). Eventually Lazuli returned to the cabin where Speed and the rest of the team were and she and Speed instantly got into a verbal argument. When the team told Lazuli and Leaf about their past adventures, she was slightly intrigued. When the Eeveelution Squad won against the Oreburgh Gym and Leaf told Lazuli that she wanted to travel with the team, Lazuli had no interest at first but then decided to tag along only to look after her sister and says she don't plan on becoming buddies with anyone on the team. Soon she became a member of the Eeveelution Squad along side Leaf.
Lazuli's Journey In Diamond and Pearl, Lazuli make her debut and joins the Eeveelution Squad. She meets the team at her cabin and then joins the team after they won again the Oreburgh Gym a few days later. At first when she joined the team Lazuli acted aggressive and rebellious, often snapping at them and not listening to them in battle. Lazuli does learn that she has to listen to the team sometimes after losing a bunch for doing her own thing. Over the course of the Sinnoh journey, Lazuli becomes less aggressive and opens up more after bonding with each member of the team, specifically with Speed and Crystal. Lazuli has a rival with an Ice Type Pokemon who is on Shade's team.
In Black & White, Lazuli begins to have feelings for Speed however she is in complete denial about it and acts like a tsundere (A verbal one, not a physically abusive one). Lazuli reunites with Alfred after many years and meets Ashia for the first time. Unlike Leaf who forgave him quickly after he explained why he kicked them out, Lazuli wasn't as forgiving. Throughout the Unova journey, Lazuli would run into Alfred and Ashia several times where she would grow a bond with Ashia and slowly forgives her dad.
In Battle Frontier, after Lazuli accepted her feeling for Speed at the end of the team's Unova journey her feelings for him causes her to become a bit of a mess on the team. Lazuli becomes distracted a lot during battles and Contest so she can't focus which often leads to her messing up. She learns to put her feelings aside for important stuff like battling.
In XY, when Silvia joins the team and is often with Speed, Lazuli would get jealous but doesn't do much. Her feelings for Speed aren't as bad as before since she's able to control it. Lazuli does attempt to make advances on Speed but due to not ever being in a romantic situation she's pretty bad at it. By the end of Kalos she realizes that Speed probably wouldn't feel the same way as her and decides to let go of her feelings for him and just stay friends.
In Sun & Moon, Lazuli learns to appreciate life as well as the Pokemon around her which is her team who she starts to see as family. During the Alola journey, Lazuli along with Leaf get to reunite with Lapis thanks to Tapu Fini and got closure with her.
In Sword & Shield, Lazuli encounters Zacian and Zamazenta with Leaf during the beginning of the team's Galar journey with her encountering the latter Pokemon. Lazuli helps Sonia piece together the mystery behind an event known as the "Darkest Day".
In Master Journeys, like with everyone else, Lazuli was against Speed's plan for the team to split up to train but is eventually convinced that it's for the best as they need to get stronger to get through the Ultra Class of the World Championship Series.
With that said, that is all for Journeys Lazuli. What do you think of her? Leave your thoughts for me to read. The next post will be about Journeys Black so until then, bye!

ES Journeys Main Cast: Leaf the Leafeon
Hey guys, back once more to talk about the main cast of ES Journeys with this post being about Leaf now.
Remember that the main thing you should know about my version of the cast is that they are supposed to be as closely accurate to how they were in the comic in terms of personality and backstory as possible while also changing things to improve them by adding, removing, or expanding things about them.
Now without further ado, here's Journeys Leaf.
(Note: Not everything is fully fleshed out. These are just the main ideas I have and am currently trying to flesh out)
Leaf Leaf the Leafeon is known for a lot of reasons. She's Lazuli's sister, she shares the same backstory for the most part as her sister, she's Flare's love interest, she likes to garden, she's nice to everyone, and she's... she's... uh... Yeah she doesn't have a lot. All she's known for is being nice, Lazuli's sister, and being shipped with Flare.
Leaf's lack of things that are unique to her makes her very uninteresting and it doesn't help that she barely has a role in the comic like Crystal, Sunshine, and Pearl. Also this might be a hot take but Flare X Leaf is such a BORING ship. Wow, they're both nice and like to garden that's so interesting. No It's not to me at least. Leaf barely having anything is definitely an issue but it's an opportunity for me to try to make her an interesting character for ES Journeys.
Personality Leaf's personality stays relatively the same as the comic's (Not like there was much anyway). Her niceness is still there however in her debut she's too nice which can get the Eeveelution Squad into shenanigans or trouble from being dragged into things or her getting taken advantage of. Her niceness also made her not able to stand up for herself to which the rest of the team usually defend her. She also sees good in everyone and is quick to forgive them but Leaf does learn to stand up for for herself and that not everyone is good.
ES Journeys has Leaf being a bit more adventurous and optimistic than her comic counterpart. She is also a bit more silly which is something she picked up from Crystal when she hangs out with her much to Lazuli's dismay.
Leaf cares for everyone from friends to complete strangers and especially her sister, Lazuli. She cares for them as she always tries to help them and make them happy. Something Leaf is able to is understand emotions from others which helps her with understanding them.
Leaf has never really been able to do stuff on her own due to everyone constantly worrying for her, specifically Lazuli. It never bothered her prior to joining the Eeveelution Squad because she just wanted to make her sister happy by listening to her but after joining the team and doing some battling she started to try be more independent. Whenever someone tried doing something for her when she didn't need it she would get a little upset as she wants to prove she can do things on her own.
Leaf, just like Flare, didn't like battling at first for the same reason. During the beginning of Sinnoh she refused to battle and whenever someone challenges her, Lazuli would take her place. This changes when she talked with Flare about how he views battling and he tells her how he used to feel the same way as she does but tells her what battling really is. After that talk and trying some battles out, Leaf became okay with battling.
When it comes to what happened to her past regarding her mom and dad, Leaf gets emotional over it whenever it gets brought up or she brings it up. She does manage to get over it and get closure with her mom and dad during her journey with the Eeveelution Squad.
Leaf has a love for gardening which she shares with Flare.
Moves, Ability, and Battle Style Leaf in this AU is stronger than her comic counterpart because she actually battles unlike in the comic.
When Leaf started battling, her battle style was a ranged one as she used a variety of ranged attacks and doesn't usually try to be direct and physical. This changes when she learns Leaf Blade as she now has a more up close "sword fighter" battle style where she battles more up close mostly but still uses ranged moves here and there.
Leaf has a wide array of Grass-Type moves as well as other Type moves. Her movelist and when they're learned: -Razor Leaf (DP) -Tackle (DP) -Quick Attack (DP) -Magical Leaf (DP) -Energy Ball (DP) -Aerial Ace (DP) -Leaf Blade (DP) -Iron Tail (BW) -Leaf Storm (BW) -Solar Blade (XY) -Protect (SWSH) -Swords Dance (MJ) -Solar Beam (MJ) -Bloom Doom (SM; Z-Move) -Supersonic Skystrike (SM; Z-Move) -Max Strike (SWSH; Dynamax) -Max Overgrowth (SWSH; Dynamax) -Max Airstream (SWSH; Dynamax) -Max Steelspike (SWSH; Dynamax) -Max Guard (SWSH; Dynamax)
Leaf's ability is Leaf Guard. If Leaf is battling and takes in a lot of sunlight she is able to resist from getting burn, paralysis, frozen, poison, or sleep. If there isn't a lot of sunlight to take in then the ability will be weaker.
Leaf's Backstory Leaf hatched on March 10, 2001. She was born seven days after her sister, Lazuli and was raised by her mom, Lapis and her dad, Alfred. Leaf lives close to Sandgem Town of the Sinnoh region.
Leaf's early childhood was a good one. She spent a lot of her time with Lazuli and Lapis however Alfred was absent a lot due to being on Rescuer missions often so she couldn't spend time with him which saddens her a bit. Leaf did a lot with her mom such helping her maintain their garden and talking with each other with Lapis telling Leaf things like learning how to be nice, how there's good in everyone, and that fighting is bad.
In April of 2004, Leaf attended school along with her sister for the first time. During her time in school whenever there was battle class, Leaf refused to partake in it because she felt it was wrong due to what her mom told her.
One day in 2006 during summer break, Lapis planned on having a picnic at Lake Verity with everyone in the family including Alfred which Leaf and Lazuli got excited for however bad news struck when they learned that their dad won't be back in time for it. Both girls were upset by the news but Lazuli was more upset about it. On the day the family went to Lake Verity, Lazuli was upset the entire way there and even when they got there she still was. Lazuli was angry about Alfred not being there with them and yelled at Lapis about it before storming off. Leaf went after her and after some searching she found Lazuli and talked with her. She listened to her older sister about why she's angry about Alfred not being with them to which Leaf understands how she's feeling and manages to cheer her up. When Lazuli began heading back to Lapis, before Leaf could follow she saw something on the lake as it ripples and a mysterious figure appears before vanishing. After seeing that, she went back to her family and told them what she saw; not knowing that it was a projected soul of Mesprit.
Two months later while Leaf and Lazuli were playing outside the house and Alfred was inside sleeping, the sound of a window breaking was heard. Leaf and Lazuli stopped playing and checked inside and to their horror they found Lapis dead on the floor. The two started crying and shortly Alfred rushed over to see them crying over his wife's dead body. He suddenly told the girls to leave the house and after hitting Lazuli to a wall and threatening to burn them if he saw them again, the two ran out of the house and began running away.
The girls ran as fast as they could and didn't stop running for a while. After a long time of running the two stopped near a rundown cabin that was outside of Oreburgh City. Leaf was obviously very distressed about what happened but Lazuli managed to calm her down after calming herself down and the two began gathering stuff they'll need. After doing that the two decided to stay in the cabin.
A year has passed since Leaf and her sister ran away from home. During that time the two cleaned up the cabin and Leaf started a garden beside it using berry seeds that she got from a berry bush nearby. The two visited Oreburgh City for the first time during that time as well and they saw there was a school there so they decided to enroll in it.
On April of 2007 the two attended Oreburgh School. During her time there, Leaf managed to make plenty of friends and had fun in a lot classes except for battle class which she still refuses to participate in. In school she unintentionally befriend Spike because she showed him kindness when he failed at trying to bully Leaf every single time. One day she introduced Spike to Lazuli.
In 2011 during a school break, Lazuli wanted to check out Mt. Coronet since it had always interested her but Leaf was against it since she said it might be dangerous. While Lazuli said she wouldn't go, a few days later she left the cabin to go to there without telling Leaf. When she woke up and found out Lazuli was gone she became worried and searched everywhere for her around the area of their cabin and the city but she couldn't find her. Leaf was really worried about Lazuli as she knew she went to Mt. Coronet after not finding her anywhere so she had trouble sleeping and hoped she'd return safely. The next day comes and her sister still wasn't back so Leaf went out to see if she was possibly in the area coming back. During her search she couldn't find Lazuli but instead found a Moss Stone which she chooses to touch and evolved into a Leafeon. Later in the day, Leaf reunites with Lazuli who is now a Glaceon and the two didn't recognize each other at first but soon realized who they were. Leaf tells Lazuli how much she was worried about her and almost starts crying to which Lazuli promises to never leave her alone again.
On January 22, 2013, Leaf and Lazuli graduated from school. Leaf didn't get a job because his sister didn't trust who she'd be potentially working with so she had her stay at the cabin while she works in the city. While Leaf listened, she did get pretty bored staying there alone and during that time she thinks all the other places in Sinnoh and wishes to go to them someday.
On June of 2016, Leaf went with Lazuli to Sandgem Town as her sister who working as a postmon was tasked with giving package to Professor Rowan. The two went there and after delivering package they decided to look around town since it has been years since they've been there. The sisters came across a competitive battle team who were just about to leave town but two members got into a fight and one of them ran off. While Lazuli didn't care for what was happening, Leaf did and so she went after the member who ran away. She found him at Lake Verity and after talking and understanding why they fought she gave him advice on what he should do. The member starts heading back to town and before Leaf could follow him, she saw the projected soul of Mesprit before it vanished again. After returning to town and the two members made up, Leaf and Lazuli head back home with her asking her sister if they can go on another adventure like that someday.
A few weeks later, Leaf meets Flare and the rest of the Eeveelution Squad at their cabin when they were heading to Oreburgh City. The team told Leaf and Lazuli about what their adventures in the past three regions were like and Leaf was amazed by what she heard. After watching the Eeveelution Squad win at the Oreburgh Gym, Leaf decided that she wanted to go with them. The next day she met up with the team before they left the city and soon becomes a member of the Eeveelution Squad along with her sister.
Leaf's Journey In Diamond and Pearl, Leaf makes her debut and joins the Eeveelution Squad. She meets the Eeveelution Squad at her cabin and then joins the team after they won again the Oreburgh Gym a few days later. Despite being part of the team she didn't want to partake in battling as she thought it was wrong but after talking with Flare with him talking about his experience and view on it, Leaf decided to try battling and seeing it the way Flare does. In the latter half of the Sinnoh journey, Leaf learns Leaf Blade and starts having a "sword fighter" based battle style. During the team's Sinnoh journey, Leaf gets used and manipulated by Shade and after being tricked several times she confronts him and learned a hard lesson that her mom was wrong as not all Pokemon are good. At some point in the journey Flare had another incident with his Blaze ability and after running away and being found by Leaf, the two talked and she suggested to him to try learning how to control it. Leaf does her best to help Flare master his Blaze ability.
In Black & White, Leaf has some trust issues after being manipulated by Shade so many times in Sinnoh but learns to trust again. She and Lazuli reunite with Alfred after many years and meets Ashia for the first time. While Leaf forgives him when he explained why he kicked them out the house, she was still skeptical as thanks to Shade she wasn't sure if she can trust him. Throughout the Unova journey she would see Alfred and Ashia a lot and would grow a bond with Ashia while reconnecting with her dad.
In Sun & Moon, Leaf learns to appreciate life as well as the Pokemon around her which is her team who she starts to see as family. During the Alola journey, Leaf along with Lazuli get to reunite with Lapis thanks to Tapu Fini and got closure with her.
In Sword & Shield, Leaf along with her sister encounter Zacian and Zamazenta with her seeing the former during the beginning of the team's Galar journey. Leaf has a rivalry with the team captain of team consisting of "sword fighter" Pokemon as she has to prove her worth as a sword fighter.
In Master Journeys, Leaf was against the team splitting up to train at first when Speed told everyone but is eventually convinced that it's best for the team to get through the Ultra Class of the World Championship Series.
So that is all for Journeys Leaf. What do you think of her? Leave your thoughts for me to read. The next post will be about Journeys Lazuli which will happen in probably a couple of days. Until then, bye!

ES Journeys Main Cast: Pearl the Espeon
Hello everyone. Back again to talk about another one of the main cast of ES Journeys and this post is about Pearl.
Remember that the main thing you should know about my version of the cast is that they are supposed to be as closely accurate to how they were in the comic in terms of personality and backstory as possible while also changing things to improve them by adding, removing, or expanding things about them.
Now without further ado, here's Journeys Pearl.
(Note: Not everything is fully fleshed out. These are just the main ideas I have and am currently trying to flesh out)
Pearl So Pearl is known for quite a few things in ES. She's known for her yandere behavior which was only prevalent in the first few chapters but people like that side of her for some reason and make it her main thing for some reason (Looks at Pearl in ES Last Chance), being the one who brought everyone together to live together in the treehouse, her crush on Black, and for being the only one who doesn't have a tragic backstory.
Like with Crystal and Sunshine she didn't do much in the comic and didn't have much either. Aside from Pearl not doing much and her yandere side, an issue I think I only have with Pearl is when I learned that she managed to get all the Eeveelutions first try to live with her in the treehouse which I find unbelievable that the first Eeveelutions she asked say yes. Pearl has some issues that I want to fix for ES Journeys and there's some things I want to change with her but she'll still be the Pearl that we all know in the end.
Personality Pearl's personality is mostly the same as the comic's. She's a calm, mature, and kind Espeon. Pearl is responsible as she helps takes care of the rest of the Eeveelution Squad with Speed and is the one who looks after Sunshine a lot. She is quite smart as well as she knows a lot about the Johto region.
Pearl respects other Pokemon's privacy most of the time so she doesn't read their mind unless she can see something is bothering them but they won't say why so she does it to help.
Pearl still has a crush on Black however unlike in the comic where she does yandere garbage she treats him normally being nice to him and all while giving him some special treatment as a hint for him. When Silvia joins the team and Black shows clear infatuation for her, Pearl is jealous but does not do anything that hurts Black or Silvia and instead just keeps her away from him via chores or other excuses.
As a member of the Eeveelution Squad team and the first newest member of the team Pearl wanted to help as much as she can both in and out of battle. When it comes to battling Pearl is okay with it. Pearl knows a bit about how competitive battling works from her uncle, Bolt who used to do competitive battling.
Like in the comic, Pearl's dream is to gather all the Eeveelutions to live together however unlike in the comic Pearl's dream does not come true right away. Pearl was obsessed with trying to make her dream come true as she goes into the city she lives near and asks every Eeveelution if they wanted to live together only to be turned down every time due to not getting to know them.
Pearl likes to cook and is really good at it thanks to her uncle, Bolt teaching her many recipes.
Moves, Ability, and Battle Style Pearl in this AU is a lot stronger than her comic counterpart since she actually battles here unlike in the comic.
Pearl's battle style has her as a ranged battler so she often uses ranged attacks and keeps her distance from her opponent. Pearl's battle style is ranged because she's the weakest physically out of everyone in the Eeveelution Squad so while she'll make the few physical attacks she'll mostly stick with ranged ones.
As a Psychic-Type, Pearl has the ability to use psychic powers and over the course of time her psychic powers grow stronger which allow her to do things only a handful of Psychic-Types can do. Pearl can read minds but doesn't do it often since she respects other's privacy. Due to the Eeveelution Squad lacking any Flying-Type Pokemon or a Pokemon that can fly or levitate Pearl taught herself how to levitate using her psychic powers making her the only member of team who can fight in the air. Pearl can use her psychic powers to redirect attacks however she can only redirect attacks that are at her current level of strength or less cause if it's stronger than her then she can't redirect it.
Pearl has a wide array of Psychic-Type moves as well as other Type moves. Her movelist and when they're learned: -Psychic (GS) -Quick Attack (GS) -Swift (GS) -Psybeam (GS) -Calm Mind (GS) -Hyper Beam (RS) -Reflect (DP) -Zen Headbutt (DP) -Shadow Ball (BW) -Expanding Force (SWSH) -Future Sight (MJ) -Shattered Psyche (SM; Z-Move) -Max Strike (SWSH; Dynamax) -Max Mindstorm (SWSH; Dynamax) -Max Phantasm (SWSH; Dynamax) -Max Guard (SWSH; Dynamax)
Pearl's ability is Synchronize. If Pearl gets burned, poisoned, or paralyzed she uses this ability on her opponent so that they have the same condition on them.
Pearl's Backstory Pearl hatched on March 12, 2000 and was raised by her mom, Blaze and her dad, Brian. Pearl lived in Sunny Town of the Kanto region with her parents. Pearl would go to Johto with her parents a lot to visit her aunt, Rin and her uncle, Bolt.
In April of 2003, Pearl attends school for the first time. During the school she didn't have many friends due to being shy but she did became friends with an upperclassmen Eevee named Stella one day and the two would hangout a lot since then. She would later become friends with Stella's younger sisters, Flora and Cream.
One day in school Pearl learned about evolution which had Eevees brought up and how they can evolve in different ways which stuck with her. During the weekend when she visited Rin and Bolt with her family, she told them about what she learned about evolution and how Eevee can evolve in different ways to which Bolt tells her how Eevees are special Pokemon because they can evolve into different forms with each one having their own unique power and ability. When Bolt finishes telling her about each of Eevee's evolution forms, Pearl decided that she wanted to gather all the Eeveelutions together and live together as close friends when she's older.
Years goes by and Pearl is doing well in school as she is getting good grades in her classes but still doesn't have many friends aside from Stella and her sisters.
When Pearl's cousin, Axel hatched in March 2010 she would often spend time with him and looking after him whenever she visited.
In April of 2010, Pearl was getting bullied by some Pokemon until Black who was an Eevee at this point saved her. Later that same day after school she met a Gastly named Gus and befriended him. Ever since Black saved her she couldn't stop thinking about him as she had developed a bit of a crush for him but she was too shy to act and anytime someone teased her she would deny it.
A month before graduation Pearl and Stella had a talk. Stella has already graduated last year and she told Pearl that a week after this year's graduation she and her sisters were leaving Kanto and moving to another region.
On January 22 of 2012, Pearl graduated from school. During the weekend Pearl's family visits Rin and Bolt again so that they along with her parents and Axel can celebrate her graduating from school. During the celebration Pearl had a good time with her family as she bonded with them. When Brian asked her what she was gonna do now, Pearl said that she's gonna make her dream come true with gathering all the Eeveelution together to live together and becoming close friends and making tons of memories. Once she finished stating this she evolved into an Espeon.
A day after the celebration, Pearl started to work at her mom's barber shop in order to save up on some money for the house she'll eventually get when she manages to get all the Eeveelution together. A week later, Pearl said goodbye to Stella and her sisters.
Pearl would see Black from time to time in Sunny Town as he did his job as a postmon and she was still too shy with her feelings for him to do anything. In 2013, Pearl heard that Black had moved out of town and nobody knows why or where he went to which made her feel very sad.
One day Blaze and Rin were talking over the phone and Rin mentioned how it'd be nice if Blaze's family lived in Johto that way they'd be closer and don't have to travel so much to visit each other. After the call Blaze thought about it and asked Brian and Pearl how they felt about the idea of moving to Johto. Brian was okay with it while Pearl was a bit on the fence but in the end was fine with it as well since Black and Stella are no longer in Sunny Town. They found a house outside of Violet City they can move into and with the help of Rin and Bolt, Pearl and her family leave Kanto and move to their new home in Johto.
WIih Pearl and her family now settled into Johto, Pearl would continue working for her mom at her new barbershop in Violet City. When Pearl is not working she goes around the city asking Eeveelutions she comes across if they were interested in living in a house with her and other Eeveelutions. They would turn down Pearl which made her feel upset but she would shake it off and went to ask the next Eeveelution the same thing. Pearl did this for a long time and every single Eeveelution has turned her down which has become frustrating for her but also saddening as she was starting to lose hope on her dream coming true.
In November of 2014, Pearl meets Speed, Crystal, Flare, and Sunshine who were in Johto. Speed invites Pearl to join their team and says that he and the rest of the team will help her make her dream come true to which she happily joins them.
Pearl's Journey In Gold and Silver, Pearl makes her debut and joins the Eeveelution Squad. She meets the Eeveelution Squad at the beginning and joins them after they said they'd help make their dream come true. Since she joined the team, Pearl helps out a lot in battling and providing delicious meals for the team on their travels. During their Johto journey, Pearl bonds with each member of the team and would consider them as close friends. She would take some losses which affects her deeply as she feels like she's not doing good enough and is failing the Pokemon who offered to help her. While the rest of the team tell her otherwise, she focused on getting stronger for her friends which made her forget about her obsession with her dream.
In Diamond and Pearl, Pearl sees Black again after so many years and obviously has a crush on him but isn't creepy about it and keeps it to herself. When she saw him and Speed were on bad terms, she went to him and learns why they do. When Black joins the team she is normal around him and makes sure he was okay while on the team.
In XY, when Silvia joins the team and gets Black's attention this made Pearl get jealous. She would purposefully make sure Silvia or Black were not paired with each other in some way, often putting Silvia with Speed. Eventually Pearl's jealousy makes her go too far and she gets called out by Black who then refuses to talk with her after that until she realizes the error of her ways. She does soon understand what she was doing was wrong and apologizes to Black to which the two stay as just friends as she doesn't want to lose Black not as a lover but as a friend.
In Sun & Moon, Pearl learns to appreciate life as well as the Pokemon around her which is her team who she starts to see as family.
In Sword & Shield, Pearl has a rivalry with Avery.
In Master Journeys, out of all the members of the Eeveelution Squad, Pearl was the one who was most against Speed's plan to have the team split up for a few months to train. Despite that she does calm down some time later and get convinced by Black that this is best for them if they want to get through the Ultra Class of the World Championship Series.
And that is all for Journeys Pearl. What do you think of her? Leave your thoughts for me to read. Next post will be about Journeys Leaf which will happen later. Till then, bye!

ES Journeys Main Cast: Sunshine the Eevee
Hey, hey everyone! I'm back once again to talk about another character of the ES Journeys main cast. This post will be about Sunshine.
Remember that the main thing you should know about my version of the cast is that they are supposed to be as closely accurate to how they were in the comic in terms of personality and backstory as possible while also changing things to improve them by adding, removing, or expanding things about them.
Now without further ado, here's Journeys Sunshine.
(Note: Not everything is fully fleshed out. These are just the main ideas I have and am currently trying to flesh out)
Sunshine This Eevee is known for a few things like constantly saying "aye" which EV said was based on Happy of Fairy Tail, being the adopted daughter of Speed, calling Lazuli and Silvia "mommy", wanting to evolve into a Sylveon, and being shipped with Axel.
Sunshine I honestly didn't care for a lot since she wasn't that interesting. Yeah she had a thing with a Victini named Chill but that barely was brought up and the story of how they met is in a journal. There's also that thing with Alan and being the cause of the virus and wish to happen but I honestly don't give a crap because it's the virus and timeline junk. She goes to school in the after story journal and stuff but that's in a journal. Her and Speed have a bond but I don't see it or feel it since I see Sunshine hangout with Lazuli and Silvia more in the comic. Overall I just felt like she wasn't that interesting since she was just the adorable Eevee character who calls Lazuli and Silvia "mommy" for shipping purposes. It also doesn't help she was shafted to the side like the other half of the cast who aren't Speed, Flare, Lazuli, or Silvia. I have stuff for Sunshine for ES Journeys.
Personality Sunshine is a young Eevee who loves to play and have fun with other Pokemon but is shy when meeting new Pokemon. Due to being really young she can be quite naive and doesn't know a lot about the things and the world around her which the members of the Eeveelution Squad would often have to explain to her.
Sunshine is a comforting Pokemon who makes others smile even when they're feeling down. She cares deeply about her friends and family and does her best to support them up which she does several times with the Eeveelutions Squad and Axel. She values the bonds she makes with friends and family.
Sunshine looks up to the members of the Eeveelution Squad which is both a good thing and a bad thing. She thought the members of the team were so amazing as brave and strong Pokemon and believed in them with winning their battles. She's said multiple times that she wanted to be like them which they were flattered. Sunshine's behavior is sometimes influenced by them so times when she is brave is because of them but times when she is reckless or does something foolish is also because of them.
When it comes to battling, Sunshine thought it was amazing watching the members of the Eeveelution Squad battling but when they get hurt or are getting beaten up badly she gets worried and starts crying. As she grew up she stopped crying as she believed in them and knew they would get through in the end with their battles. As for actual battling for herself she's fine with it though at first she was hesitant until after watching Speed battle a bunch of times during the team's Kanto journey..
Moves, Ability, and Battle Style Sunshine in this AU is much stronger than her comic self due to watching and receiving training from everyone of the Eeveelution Squad. Her battle style is mostly basic but at times Sunshine uses the same battle styles and techniques the Eeveelution Squad use for their battles.
Sunshine is not a normal Eevee as she is capable of using moves from each of her evolution forms without evolving into them. She can do this because Sunshine's genes are more unstable than a normal Eevee's. In order to make Sunshine not OP with her being able to use moves from her evolution forms, I had Sunshine be restricted to learning the Eevee Partner Moves from Let's Go Eevee. Sunshine learns each Partner Move by bonding with a member of the Eeveelution Squad based on their type (Ex: Bonding with Speed has Sunshine learn Buzzy Buzz) and then names the move. The Partner Moves symbolize her bond with each member of the team.
Sunshine has a wide array of moves of many Types. Her movelist and when they're learned: -Tackle (TB) -Swift (TB) -Buzzy Buzz (TB) -Bouncy Bubble (OI) -Sizzly Slide (OI) -Glitzy Glow (GS) -Sappy Seed (DP) -Freezy Frost (DP) -Baddy Bad (DP) -Helping Hand (BW) -Sparkly Swirl (XY) -Baby-Doll Eyes (XY) -Double Kick (SM) -Quick Attack (SM) -Last Resort (SM) -Extreme Evoboost (SM; Z-Move) -Max Strike (SWSH; Dynamax) -Max Geyser (SWSH; Dynamax) -Max Flare (SWSH; Dynamax) -Max Mindstorm (SWSH; Dynamax) -Max Darkness (SWSH; Dynamax) -Max Overgrowth (SWSH; Dynamax) -Max Hailstorm (SWSH; Dynamax) -Max Starfall (SWSH; Dynamax)
Sunshine's ability is Adaptability. This ability increases the power of her moves that are the same type as her which is Normal-Type.
Sunshine's Backstory In 2011 on May 30th, Sunshine's egg was found in a rundown house outside of Sunny Town. The egg was found by Speed the Jolteon, Crystal the Vaporeon, and Solarflare the Flareon who were out on a walk until Crystal decided to check out the house with Speed and Flare following her. When Speed touches the egg it hatched and Sunshine was born. She assumed Speed was her dad and called him that since he was the first thing she saw but he tells her he's not. The three siblings took Sunshine back with them to Sunny Town and when they brought her to the orphanage the mother had her stay in their room since she was fond of them more, specifically Speed.
During Sunshine's early days in the orphanage she was very shy when it came to interacting with the other kids living there. She mostly hung out with Speed, Crystal, and Flare but she eventually interacts and plays with the other kids after being reassured by the siblings and the mother of the orphanage. Sunshine would call Speed "daddy", Crystal "auntie", and Flare "uncle" for some time but because Speed and Crystal didn't like what she was calling them for their own reasons they had her call them "big brother" and "big sister". Despite calling them something else now, Sunshine would still call Speed "daddy" occasionally and he responds by telling her that she can call him that when they're alone.
In 2014, Sunshine overheard Speed, Crystal, and Flare talking about traveling Kanto and asked them about it. When they told her that they'll be leaving orphanage and won't come back for a long time, Sunshine asked if she can come with them. Speed was quick to deny her from tagging along but after some convincing from Crystal he allowed her to come along.
On April 1, 2014, Sunshine tagged along with Speed, Crystal, and Flare as they begin their journey as a competitive battling team.
Sunshine's Journey From The Beginning-Battle Frontier, Sunshine is your typical adorable character who has cute moments and stuff. Since she's so young she gets to learn things about the world as she travels with the Eeveelution Squad across the regions. She doesn't get much development but she does bond with each member of the Eeveelution Squad which results in her learning each Partner Move
In XY, Sunshine stays mostly the same as the previous series but she eventually looks after a Zygarde Cell (She has the role of Bonnie from the XY anime)
In Sun & Moon, Sunshine attends the Pokemon School with Axel. She has a group of friends she made in the school. Sunshine goes through a trial in Alola where she helps each Eeveelution (Not the Eeveelutions from the Eeveelution Squad) that would lead to her getting the Eevium Z-Crystal. At some point, Sunshine will start thinking about her parents and will get the chance to meet them thanks to Tapu Fini. Sunshine will fall in love with the Alola region along with its traditions and Pokemon in it.
In Sword & Shield, Sunshine and Axel are left behind in Kanto to attend school in Vermilion City while the Eeveelution Squad go to Galar to compete in the Galar League. Sunshine has another group of friends in this school which are the Pokemon from the after story journal. While in school, Sunshine deals with being popular for being the Eevee who was with the Eeveelution Squad and also other school issues.
In Master Journeys, Sunshine along with Axel are either in school still or joining the Eeveelution Squad on their adventures across the world. Sunshine questions what she wants to be in the future in terms of her evolution. She becomes friends with Koharu (The girl with Ash and Goh in Pokemon Journeys) and the two help each other with what they want to be in the future with Sunshine helping her decide her future career and Koharu helping her decide what she wants to evolve into.
That is all for Journeys Sunshine for now. What do you think of her? Leave your thoughts for me to read. Next post will be about Journeys Pearl which will happen later, maybe. Until then, bye!

ES Journeys Main Cast: Solarflare the Flareon
Hello once again everyone. I'm back once more to talk about another one of the main cast of ES Journeys. Today's post will be about Solarflare or as he's more commonly known as, Flare.
Remember that the main thing you should know about my version of the cast is that they are supposed to be as closely accurate to how they were in the comic in terms of personality and backstory as possible while also changing things to improve them by adding, removing, or expanding things about them.
Now without further ado, here's Journeys Flare.
(Note: Not everything is fully fleshed out. These are just the main ideas I have and am currently trying to flesh out)
Solarflare We know Flare the Flareon for a variety of reasons. He's the wholesome one, the one who likes chocolate, the one who got infected by the Berserker Virus and is involved with that plotline, the one that is shipped with Leaf which is the most boring ship ever in my opinion, and the one who took Speed's spotlight in SC12b and suddenly became the new protagonist. Flare is a mixed character to me so I wanted to try and make him better for ES Journeys.
Personality ES Journeys has Flare's personality mostly the same as the comics. Flare is a polite and friendly Pokemon. During Flare's childhood and when Flare and his older siblings began during journey as a competitive battling team he was shy and quiet, often staying beside Speed or Crystal whenever they're with someone. As their journey continued, Flare became less shy and quiet around others outside of his family and became more sociable.
When it comes to battling, Flare at first disliked it as he thought it was just needless violence and for another reason which I'll explain later. He didn't participate in most battles during the Eeveelution Squad's Kanto journey except for the Cinnabar Gym and the Indigo Plateau Conference because he was forced to. Even after reflecting on how he didn't help much during the team's Kanto journey following their big loss at the Indigo Plateu Conference he still had this mindset. When the team were at the Orange Islands, Flare saw how hard his sister was working to improve herself for the team and thought maybe he should do the same but he choose not as he still thought that battling is needless violence and still refuses to participate in battle. Flare does begin to warm up to the idea of battling after Speed told him that there's something worth fighting for and learning what a battle really is. Soon he would willingly partake in battle at the Orange Islands and even though he would lose due to lack of battling experience he now understands that battling isn't as bad as he thought it was.
Out of all the members of the Eeveelution Squad team, Flare is considered to be the soul of the team as the everyone on it believe he's the one who has worked the hardest out of all of them. They admired that about him and were inspired to train as hard as him.
Flare has a huge admiration for his older brother, Speed. He thought he was so brave and strong as he was always there for him when they were Eevees and always wanted to be like him. In Hoenn, Flare's admiration for Speed hasn't changed but now he wanted to be more than like Speed as he wanted to surpass him with his own strength to stand up on his own instead of having his brother always be there for him. Flare started a friendly rivalry with Speed as the two would spar and have friendly competitions with each other. Flare's rivalry with Speed would be one of the reasons why he trained so hard compared to the other members of the team.
From Kanto to Sinnoh, Flare has a huge amount of guilt because of his Coastal ability, Blaze. During the time Flare's ability activated in these regions he would lose control of himself and would go berserk while enraged attacking everything and everyone around him including his own team who try to stop and calm him down. These incidents would traumatize him as he thinks he's a monster and would be scared of his own ability while also believing the team including his own siblings will abandon him one day because of it. This fear would be the other reason why Flare didn't want to participate in competitive battling. When Flare did get used to battling he did his absolute best to not let his ability activate out of fear of what could happen. Flare would have nightmares about losing control of himself and hurting everyone.
Flare likes gardening and knows a lot about it. He also likes sweets too with chocolate being his favorite.
Moves, Ability, and Battle Style Flare in this AU is weaker than his comic counterpart due to not having the Berserker Virus but he at least battles more than him.
Flare has a pretty generic battle style like his sister. In Sinnoh, Flare learns to use his other senses to try to predict where his opponent is going to attack from Bertha, the team captain of one of the Elite Four teams.
Flare has a wide array of Fire-Type moves as well as other Type moves. His movelist and when they're learned: -Ember (TB) -Tackle (TB) -Flamethrower (TB) -Double Kick (OI) -Quick Attack (OI) -Fire Spin (RS) -Flame Charge (RS) -Dig (DP) -Fire Blast (BW) -Flare Blitz (MJ) -Overheat (MJ) -Inferno Overdrive (SM; Z-Move) -Max Strike (SWSH; Dynamax) -Max Flare (SWSH; Dynamax) -Max Knuckle (SWSH; Dynamax) -Max Quake (SWSH; Dynamax)
As the son of a Coastal Tribe Eeveelution, Flare has a special ability that's similar to his brother's. Flare's ability isn't Flash Fire or Guts, it is instead the Coastal ability called "Inferno" or as everyone and him calls it "Blaze". This ability is supposed to be the AU's version/replacement for the Berserker Virus since that doesn't exist in the world of ES Journeys. When Flare uses his ability both his eyes turn red instead of just one and they don't look like the Sharingan from Naruto, they're just red eyes. Like with Speed's Turbo ability, Flare's Blaze ability gives him the strength to rival Mega Evolved Pokemon and when used at its fullest potential, Flare's form changes. As said earlier, Flare when he used the ability in the first four regions would go berserk everytime but in Sinnoh he begins his training on how to control it which is another reason why he's considered the hardest working member on the team. Flare's Blaze ability is based on Ash's Infernape in the DP anime since it had a Blaze ability that made it go berserk but overtime he learned to control it and use it.
Solarflare's Backstory Unlike Speed and Crystal who both hatched on the same day, Flare would remain as an egg until a year later. During that time, the mother of the orphanage would look after the egg with Speed and Crystal also looking after it as well. Flare would hatch on January 1, 2001. Flare was homeschooled by the orphanage's mother with his two older siblings.
Years go by as he grew up in the orphanage. Like Crystal, he rarely left the orphanage due to Speed not wanting them to be with him while Shade is around. During that time, Flare would develop a hobby for gardening after watching the orphanage mother tend to the garden. One day, Flare ate too much chocolate and had a sugar rush which overwhelmed his siblings and after that incident, Speed limited Flare to having a certain amount of chocolate a week.
In 2010, Flare along with Crystal learn about what happened to their parents from Speed who learned the truth from Trace. A few months later he along with Speed and Crystal watched a battle during the Indigo Plateau Conference on TV with the mother of the orphanage explaining what the competitive battling sport is and what they do. Speed and Crystal wanted to do competitive battling while Flare was against it but was pressured to join by Crystal and also didn't want to be alone at the orphanage.
In 2011, when Speed, who is a Jolteon now, went to Professor Robert's lab, Crystal opened a small chest in their room that contained Evolution Stones he collected and used the Water Stone to evolve into a Vaporeon. After evolving she decided to prank Flare by scaring to evolve him into a Flareon so she grabbed a Fire Stone and went looking for him. Flare was outside the orphanage tending to the flowers and when Crystal found him, she threatened to evolve him which caused him to run away and scream. His older sister would chase him around the orphanage and would try to hide in a closet but would soon be found there. He pleaded for his sister to not evolve him and Crystal tells him it's just a prank which gives him some relief. She tries to help him out of the closet but trips and falls on him with the Fire Stone landing on him, causing him to evolve into a Flareon. Upon evolving, Flare's eyes were strangely red as he used a powerful Ember on Crystal and blasted her out of the closet. As he stepped out of the closet, he proceeded to chase her around the orphanage while going on a berserk rampage and lighting parts of the orphanage on fire. When he corners Crystal, Speed steps in between them and while he was confused about what was up with Flare's eyes, he tried to snap Flare out of his rage but is met with a powerful Ember as well as he and Crystal are blasted through the wall of the orphanage and lay on the ground outside in pain. Flare steps out of the orphanage's blasted wall and was about to fire another attack on them but faints from using up his energy.
Some time after he fainted, Flare woke up and found himself tied up. Flare's eyes was back to normal and he was no longer in a berserker rage fit. When Speed thought Flare was safe he untied and asked what happened to which he explained everything and it resulted in Crystal being grounded for a week. During that week, Speed took Flare to Professor Robert's lab to get an answer on what was up with eyes but unfortunately he didn't have a clear answer for them. He said that Flare's eye change was possibly a result of an ability to which closest he can say is the Blaze ability but clarifies that it isn't that exactly. Also throughout the week, Flare didn't talk to Crystal at all. One day when Flare entered their room while Crystal was already there she tried talking to him again but he ignored her. Crystal would then give a tearful apology, saying she was sorry for what she did and said she was a horrible sister to which Flare decides to forgive her as he says he can never hate her and gives her a hug.
In 2011 on May 30, Flare wanted to go out for a walk and since Shade was still around, Speed decides to take him and Crystal out for a walk outside of town in the forest. Flare enjoyed the walk as he sat on top of his sister was sitting on top of his older brother. They eventually find a rundown house and went inside to find an egg that would hatch Sunshine. They took her back to the orphanage and the mother of the orphanage let her stay with them in their room since she was fond of them. Flare along with his older siblings wondered why her egg was all alone in the abandoned house and when Speed learns from Trace that two Eeveelutions were killed around the area of the house that the egg was in, they realized that it was most likely her parents. They decided not to say anything about it to her for now but Flare says they'll have to tell her eventually.
In 2014 sometimes after Flare turned 13, Speed filled out the paperwork to create their competitive battling team and a few days later a letter came for the three siblings and when they opened it a form was in it that approved the creation of their team and that they're officially one now. They decided to wait till April to begin their journey.
On April 1, 2014, he along with Speed, Crystal, and Sunshine left Sunny Town to begin their adventure as a competitive battling team.
Solarflare's Journey In The Beginning, Flare barely fought in any battles because he didn't like the idea of fighting. Despite that he did battle during the Cinnabar Gym against Blaine and his team. During it his ability activated which helped him defeat Blaine but he was out of control as he attacked everything and everyone around him until he ran out of energy and fainted.
In Adventures in the Orange Islands, Flare reflected on the team's Kanto journey and knew he barely did anything because of his thoughts on battling. He decides to still be against battling as he remembers the incident at the Cinnabar Gym. When the team are at the Orange Islands, Flare saw how hard his sister was working to be better and improve herself for the team he thought about trying to the same same but stopped himself because of his thoughts on battling still. When Flare asked Speed why he battles he told him there's something to fight for which to him was winning to become the best team ever and he asks him what he's gonna fight for. Flare didn't know at the time but he would soon find his answer as he says he'll fight to help his family. Flare would then learn the what a battle truly is which is two Pokemon giving it their all to win. After all of that, Flare would willingly participate in battles.
In Ruby and Sapphire, Flare who has admired Speed since they were Eevees annd wanted to be just like him, wanted to surpass him with his own strength. He has Speed become a rival and the two would have some friendly compeition with each other and sometimes battle each other to test their strength.
In Diamond and Pearl, Flare has a personal rivalry with Shade because of everything he's done to the team during the Eeveelution Squad's journey in Sinnoh, Speed. He battles him twice, one at Lake Acuity and the other time being at the Lily of the Valley Conference. Flare knocks Speed out during the latter battle because he wanted to personally beat him for hurting his brother. Flare meets Leaf for the first time when the Eeveelution Squad were heading to Oreburgh City. When Leaf and Lazuli joined the team, Leaf expressed her dislike towards battling which Flare related to but explains to her what a battle really is which makes her see it differently. He helps trains her for her first battle. Flare finally decides to do something about his Blaze ability where instead of avoiding it he spends the entire Sinnoh journey trying to learn how to control it with some help from his teammates and other characters as well like Flint of the Elite Four.
In Black & White, Flare becomes a bit over-reliant on his now controlled ability which while it helps him win battles it also caused him to lose due to his energy being used up quickly or predictability. Flare has to learn when is the right time to use his ability and to stop being so reliant on it. Also Flare develops feelings for Leaf and has a romance subplot with her.
In XY, Flare helps Speed with learning how to use his ability after he learned about it since he has experience in this department. Flare also trains to master his Blaze ability and unlock his "Blaze form" after seeing how fast Speed learned how to use his Turbo ability and watching him try to master it to use his ability's form which he hasn't even unlocked yet. He also meets Fluffy and Solar, the latter being a teammate on CC's team and is another Coastal Tribe Eeveelution. He has a rivalry with him as he too has also unlocked his Coastal ability form.
In Sun & Moon, Flare learns to appreciate life as well as the Pokemon around him which is his team who he starts to see as family. He also gets to meet his dad and uncle thanks to Tapu Fini and gets closure with them. Before the Alola journey, Flare along with Speed and Crystal realized that Mollie is their mom after spending time with her during vacation and after seeing their DNA samples matched, they tell her that they're her children and the family is reunited.
In Master Journeys, Flare was also against the team splitting up to train on their own for a few months but is eventually convinced that it's for the best for the team if they wish to get to the Master Class. During those months of training, Flare runs into Shade again and the two have a battle however unlike in the Lily of the Valley Conference where he managed to come out on top, Shade overpowered him since he too also became much stronger since they last battled. Flare's loss against Shade made him decide to spend a few extra months training, making him the only member of the team to not have returned to the team after the set of months Speed said they'd split up for. Eventually he does return.
So that is Journeys Flare. What do you think of him? Leave your thoughts for me to read. Next post will be about Journeys Sunshine and her post should come out soon. Until then, bye!

ES Journeys Main Cast: Crystal the Vaporeon
Hello again everyone. I'm back again to talk about another one of the main cast of ES Journeys which for this post will be about Crystal.
Remember that the main thing you should know about my version of the cast is that they are supposed to be as closely accurate to how they were in the comic in terms of personality and backstory as possible while also changing things to improve them by adding, removing, or expanding things about them.
Now without further ado, here's Journeys Crystal.
(Note: Not everything is fully fleshed out. These are just the main ideas I have and am currently trying to flesh out)
Crystal Ah so now we're on Crystal the Vaporeon. She's known for many things like breaking the 4th wall, her dynamic with Silvia and Lazuli, shipped with Trace or Silvia (They're both fine, I'm fine with either), being the middle child in her family who has absolutely nothing to do with the Beserker Virus or the timeline junk, and just having literally nothing or doing anything to make her important.
Now I wanna go back to the last thing I listed for her as that bothered me and this doesn't just apply to her since others also barely did anything. As one of the 9 main characters in the comic you'd think she'd be relevant in someway seeing as she's 1) One of the main characters and 2) The sister to Speed and Flare who both have such significant roles because they're tied to the complex BS lores but guess what? She got nothing and is nothing more than comedic relief and a background character. I plan on changing that for ES Journeys.
Personality Crystal in ES Journeys has basically the same personality as her comic self. She's jolly, optimistic, and likes to be playful and pull pranks that are usually harmless but would get her and the team into trouble.
Crystal is considered to be the heart of the Eeveelution Squad team as she's the one who keeps everyone together with her positive attitude. Whenever the team is feeling down she's the one who cheers everyone up by either making them laugh or giving them encouragement. When the Eeveelution Squad began adding new members to the team she's always the one to help them feel welcomed and settled into the team.
While Crystal is usually happy being on the team, there are times where she gets questions her placement on it as she feels she's either holding the team back or isn't as special as the others, specifically Speed and Flare.
Crystal is sensitive when it comes to the topic of evolution due to her causing her younger brother, Flare to evolve into a Flareon by accident.
When it comes to doing battling and Contest, Crystal at first didn't take them seriously but after some time she started to get serious for different reasons for both sports (Which'll be explained later in the post). Crystal likes both sports a lot but likes Contest just a bit more.
Crystal likes to dance and draw.
Moves, Ability, and Battle Style Obviously Crystal in this AU is stronger than her comic self since this one actually fights while the other never did. As a Vaporeon she's a really good swimmer so she has an advantage if the arena is a body of water.
Crystal has a pretty generic battle style and she does some light taunting while in battle. While Speed focuses on strategy when it comes to battling, Crystal is all about unpredictability. The way she fights is she thinks outside of the box on how she can use her abilities in a way where her opponents or even her teammates don't understand what she's trying to do. Crystal sometimes implements dancing into her battles as a way to constantly keep moving around and dodge attacks or pull off the Countershield technique (Look it up, it's from the anime). Out of all the members of the Eeveelution Squad team, Crystal likes to Dynamax the most.
Crystal has a wide array of Water-Type moves as well as other Type moves. Her movelist and when they're learned: -Water Gun (TB) -Acid Armor (TB) -Tackle (TB) -Tail Whip (TB) -Body Slam (TB) -Bubble Beam (OI) -Hydro Pump (OI) -Whirlpool (GS) -Aqua Tail (RS) -Aqua Jet (DP) -Aurora Beam (DP) -Attract (XY) -Rain Dance (MJ) -Hydro Vortex (SM; Z-Move) -Acid Downpour (SM; Z-Move) -Max Strike (SWSH; Dynamax) -Max Geyser (SWSH; Dynamax) -Max Hailstorm (SWSH; Dynamax) -Max Ooze (SWSH; Dynamax)
Unlike her brothers, Speed and Flare who have their special Coastal abilities, Crystal sadly doesn't have one and has one of the two Vaporeon species abilities, Water Absorb. When Crystal has her body absorb the water around her she replenishes her energy so that she can keep fighting and using moves. Crystal can't use water that she's used for her moves to replenish her energy.
Crystal's Backstory Crystal hatched on February 15, 2000 and she hatched an hour after Speed did. She was brought into Sunny Town and lived in an orphanage with him and her unborn sibling. While she lived in the orphanage she played with the other kids and got along with everyone well while also getting herself into trouble with the mother occasionally. When Crystal reached the age of 3, the age of being able to attend school she wanted to go but Speed was against it so she got homeschooled which made her upset but she got over it.
Years go by as she grew up in the orphanage. During those years, Crystal has rarely left the orphanage due to Speed not wanting her or Flare going out because of Shade being around. Whenever Speed came back to the orphanage injured and was questioned about them he would assure everyone that it was nothing to worry about but Crystal would pester him about it as she thought he was hiding something but never got the truth out of him. One day, Flare had a sugar rush after eating too much chocolate and overwhelmed Speed and Crystal with his hyperness and ever since then, Crystal gets scared whenever she sees Flare eat chocolate. At some point she meets Trace when he came over to the orphanage and he instantly had a crush on her. She rarely saw him after that due to him meeting with Speed outside of the orphanage and when he is at the orphanage he drags him away from her.
In 2010, Speed tells her and Flare that their parents were dead after Trace told him which saddened them. A few months later she along with Speed and Flare watched a battle from the Indigo Plateau Conference on TV and when the mother explained what a competitive battling team is and does, Crystal thought it sounded cool and wanted to do it to which later when the three were in their room Speed said they'll do it when they're all old enough to be a team which gets her excited while Flare was hesitant but she manages to pressure him to come along.
In 2011, one day Speed and Crystal were in their room with the now Jolteon getting ready to leave and head over to Professor Robert's lab. Before he left he told Crystal not to open a small box that contains Evolution Stones that he's been collecting for Professor Robert. As soon as he left the orphanage she opened the box to see all the Evolution Stones and touched the Water Stone that was in it since she always wanted to become a Vaporeon after learning about her evolved forms while homeschooled. After evolving she thought of pranking Flare by scaring him that she's gonna make him evolve into a Flareon so she grabbed the Fire Stone in the box and left the room to find him. When Crystal found Flare outside the orphanage, she threatened to evolve him to which he started running away in fear and Crystal gave chase. After chasing him around the orphanage for a bit she found him hiding in a closet with cleaning items and he begged for her not to evolve to which she tells him it was just a prank. She tried to help him out of the closet but trips over an item and falls on him with the Fire Stone landing on him and making him evolve into a Flareon. Crystal realizing what she has done asked if he was alright but saw that his eyes were glowing red and he looked mad as she gets blasted out of the closet from a powerful Ember. Once Flare stepped out of the closet, Crystal began to run while he chased her. During the chase, Flare parts of the orphanage on fire and soon Crystal was cornered but Speed arrived and tried to calm to him down but he didn't listen and used Ember on the both of them, blasting them through the wall and have them lying outside of the building. Before Flare could use another attack on her and Speed he faints from using up his energy.
After Flare woke up and was released from being tied up, Speed grounded Crystal for a week and Flare didn't talk to her at all and wouldn't do so for a week as well. During the week, Crystal snuck out to follow Speed to Professor Robert's lab because she wanted to asked the professor if there was a way to devolve a Pokemon to which the professor tells her it's not possible right now but maybe sometime in the future. A week later and Flare still hasn't said a word to her which causes her to cry as she tearfully apologizes to Flare for what she's done and is thankfully forgiven by him.
On May 30, she along with Speed and Flare went out for a walk through the forest around Sunny Town and during it they found a rundown house. Crystal is the one who went in to check it out and was also the one to find an egg in it The egg would hatch and an Eevee who they would name, Sunshine later would come from it to which the three took her back to the orphanage and the mother let her stay with them in their room. They wondered why her egg was all alone in the abandoned house and when Speed learns from Trace that two Eeveelutions were killed around the area of the house that the egg was in and tells her and Flare about it, they decided not to say anything about it to her for now but know they'll have to eventually.
In 2014 sometimes after Flare turned 13, Speed filled out the paperwork to create their competitive battling team. When Speed needed to fill out their team's name, after throwing around some name ideas, Crystal came up with the team name "Eeveelution Squad" which both Speed and Flare liked. She also provided a drawing of their team logo. After submitting the paperwork the three siblings would talk about how exciting and nervous it was gonna be for them to go out traveling and as they talked about this Sunshine overheard them. Sunshine asked them about what they were talking about and Speed tells her they'll be going away for a long time soon which in response she asks if she can come with them and while he was against it at first he hesitantly lets her tag along after being convinced by Crystal. A few days later a letter came for the three siblings and when they opened it a form was in it that approved the creation of their team and that they're officially one now. They decided to wait till April to begin their journey.
On April 1, 2014, Speed, Crystal, and Flare begin their journey as a competitive battling team.
Crystal's Journey In The Beginning, Crystal loses most of her battles due to not taking it seriously. Even though Crystal met Trace before they began their journey, she never has once said his actual name. When she learned Trace is the son of Professor Robert she kept calling him the "son of a professor" or something similar and as she continued doing that, Trace got more and more annoyed as he doesn't like being called those things and being connected to his dad. Eventually he blows up on her and apologizing shortly after as he then explains why he doesn't like being talked about regarding his dad (I'll explain in a post about Trace, maybe). She apologizes and she eventually begins to call him by his name.
In Adventures in the Orange islands, Crystal looks back on her performance during the Indigo League and realizes she barely did anything to help as it was Speed who mostly battled and even Flare got a win. She questions her place on the team and asks her brothers if she's holding them back to which they assure her she's not. Crystal learns to take battling seriously so that she helps carry the team instead of just being dead weight.
In Gold and Silver, Crystal was the one who brings up the subject of adding someone new to the team. When Speed tells Pearl about the thing involving their mom, Crystal gets suspicious because she could tell that he was hiding something from her and tries to get him to spit out to her and Flare.
In Ruby and Sapphire, Crystal was the one who was most interested in doing Contest however when she did her first ever one she failed badly. Despite the failure she was determined to get better at it. She would get her own set of Contest rivals while being the leader of the Eeveelution Squad Contest team. Unlike Speed who tries to be a leader and have the team do things his way, Crystal is more open as a leader as she trusts the others with their abilities and comes up with ways they can use their abilities in the best way possible for Contest. Also Speed would learn from her about being a leader.
In Diamond and Pearl, when Leaf and Lazuli join the team she develops a bond with them. With Leaf, she and her would get along well as she influenced Leaf a little with her playful personality much to Lazuli's dismay. With Lazuli, Speed told Crystal to go help her feel comfortable while on the team to which the two would form a bond and become best friends with Crystal learning Aurora Beam as a sign of their friendship. As for Black, she helps him not take everything so seriously and try to make him relax and have fun. She would drag him to do things with the rest of the team and help him smile a bit.
In Black & White, Crystal was the reason why Flare developed a crush on Leaf as she teased him about liking her which planted the idea into his head. With the team's burst in popularity, Crystal let that get to her head for a bit but eventually gets overwhelmed by it and humbles herself.
In Battle Frontier, Crystal has the team return to doing Contest and with the return of Contest rivals from both Hoenn and Sinnoh she is more determined than ever to win this year's Contest Grand Festival.
In XY, Crystal along with the rest of the team offer their hand to Silvia to help her with doing the Pokemon Showcase sport since they have some experience due to the sport despite being different from Contest has some similarities to it. When Speed learns about his Turbo ability and tries to master it as well as Flare trying to master his Blaze ability, Crystal feels insecure as she feels she's not as special or strong like her brothers again but this time it was because she didn't have a Coastal ability. When she expresses this feeling to the team, Speed and Flare assure her she's strong in her own way and she doesn't need a special ability like them as they remind her of her accomplishments that she's made without having a Coastal ability.
In Sun & Moon, Crystal learns to appreciate life as well as the Pokemon around her which is her team who she starts to see as family. She also gets to meet her dad and uncle thanks to Tapu Fini and gets closure with them. Before the Alola journey, Crystal along with Speed and Flare realized that Mollie is their mom after spending time with her during vacation and after seeing their DNA samples matched, they tell her that they're her children and the family is reunited.
In Sword & Shield, Crystal is the one who is the most experienced with Dynamax out of all the members of the Eeveelution Squad. Whenever the Eeveelution Squad battles she is eager to Dynamax and everyone lets her do it unless the team is losing or at a disadvantage and needs someone else on the team to do it which while upset about not being able to Dynamax she understands. Crystal has a rivalry with Klara.
In Master Journeys, when Speed tells the team that they're gonna split up for a few months to train on their own, Crystal is one of the members who was against this but eventually gets convinced that it's for the best of the team if they wish to get through the Ultra Class in the World Championship Series.
And that's Journeys Crystal. What do you think of her? Leave your thoughts for me to read. Next post will be on Journeys Flare's and his post will happen soon. Until then, bye!

ES Journeys Main Cast: Speed the Jolteon
Hello everyone. So I'd thought I would share my takes on each of the main cast for ES Journeys on here and get other people's opinions.
The main thing you guys should know about my version of the cast is that they are supposed to be as closely accurate to how they were in the comic in terms of personality and backstory as possible while also changing things to improve them by adding, removing, or expanding things about them.
With that being said, it's time to start. I'll be going through all 9 of the main cast and I'll start with Speed.
(Note: Not everything is fully fleshed out. These are just the main ideas I have and am currently trying to flesh out)
Speed So we all know Speed the Jolteon. The punching bag, the ridiculously overpowered Jolteon, the dense one, the one with the most ships, etc. He has his fair share of moments in the comic but also a fair share of issues as well like his romance plotlines, his inconsistent personality throughout the comic, his edginess in the later chapters, and him being OP. In ES Journeys, Speed isn't a mess like in the comics.
Personality Speed's personality is mostly the same like the comics. He's a hardworking, loyal, and responsible Pokemon but can be a bit dense at times when it comes to social stuff. Despite that he is quite intelligent when it comes to science. He often puts others before himself as whenever someone asks if he's okay he brushes it off to not worry them. When Speed sees his family or friends getting picked on or hurt he would immediately step in to help.
Speed is the team captain of the Eeveelution Squad and takes his role seriously as he makes an effort to help everyone get strong and coming with strategies for battle. He's quite analytical as he analyzes his opponents both on and off the arena to find weak spots and come up with strategies to take them down.
Speed had a fear of bodies of water so whenever he sees what he freezes up but after learning how to swim from Crystal, he got over that fear.
Unlike his comic counterpart, Speed isn't traumatized or deal with an existential crisis because he doesn't suffer from dealing with timeline crap or being killed so this Speed is a bit more happier.
Speed is a fan of the Pokemon Mystery Dungeon franchise (In-universe franchise).
Moves, Ability, and Battle Style When it comes to his strength he is significantly weaker than his comic counterpart because 1) He was never a champion in ES Journeys, 2) Never became a Rescuer, 3) Has a no healing factor, and 4) His Turbo ability is weaker than its comic version. I did this because I didn't like how OP he was in the comic and also it'd be no fun having Speed breeze through the Regional Leagues if he had all these powers.
Speed at first at a pretty generic battle style but after beating Lt. Surge by using his swiftness instead of his strength he soon developed a battle style that revolves around his speed. He's really fast and is capable of landing multiple quick hits on someone while also being able to dodge attacks quickly. Since Dynamax slows the user down, Speed avoids using it.
Speed has a wide array of Electric-Type moves and speed based moves. His movelist and when they're learned: -Thundershock (TB) -Thunderbolt (TB) -Tackle (TB) -Double Kick (TB) -Swift (TB) -Agility (TB) -Quick Attack (TB) -Pin Missile (OI) -Wild Charge (DP) -Electro Ball (BW) -Substitute (XY) -Extreme Speed (MJ) -Thunder (MJ) -Gigavolt Havoc (SM; Z-Move) -Breakneck Blitz (SM; Z-Move) -Max Strike (SWSH; Dynamax) -Max Lightning (SWSH; Dynamax) -Max Knuckle (SWSH; Dynamax) -Max Flutterby (SWSH; Dynamax)
As the son to a Coastal Tribe Eeveelution, Speed has an ability the common Jolteons don't have. Speed's ability isn't Volt Absorb or Quick Feet, it's actually a special ability called "Primus" or as everyone and him likes to call it "Turbo". Unlike the comic where when the ability is used it multiplies Speed's power more and more the longer he uses it but strains him, ES Journeys' version of it is more simple as it's more like the abilities of Blaze, Torrent, and Overgrow where it gives a boost in power to the Pokemon however there are differences such as 1) Speed's eyes turns blue when he uses it and 2) when Speed uses the abiltiy to its fullest it changes his form sort of like with the Ash-Greninja form. If it wasn't obvious, this is the ES Journeys version of the Ash-Greninja form as this ability allows Speed to rival the power of Mega Evolved Pokemon during XY. Speed does use this ability briefly at times in past chapters but never realizes his ability is activated during those moments. During Kalos is when Speed learns about his ability and tries to master it as using it drains him of his energy quickly.
In 2006 when Speed was 6 years old he would one day leave the orphanage to wander around town and he meets Trace who at first didn't know he was male as he flirted with him assuming he was a female. After telling him he was male he tried getting away from him but was followed and before he left, he told him to meet up tomorrow to explore town so he can show him some locations of Sunny Town. When he got back to the orphanage he thought about whether to meet up with him or not and decided to meet because he wanted something new to do so the next day he met up with him and they explored town.
While they explored town, they had some fun moments but Speed didn't trust Trace still so he didn't consider him a friend. The two eventually find Shade who was a Rescuer at the time and basically the bully of town as many people feared him. Shade was bullying some of the townsfolk and when Speed confronted him, he started beating him up relentlessly for fun but when Trace sees this he steps up and tells him to stop which Shade didn't like so he tried attacking Speed again but Trace protected him. Shade gets pissed and soon beats him up as well and in the end both of them were beaten up really badly as Shade walks away scoffing. Despite being badly hurt, Speed was touched that Trace would step up for him like that and try to protect him and would accept him as a friend. A few days after this Trace introduces Speed to his dad, Professor Robert and they got along pretty well as he was interested in his dad's work and would sometimes be tutored by him with Trace. Professor Robert would make Speed and Trace his research fellows and send them out on simple research tasks for him like finding evolution stones. During one of their research tasks, Speed fell into a lake and at the time he didn't know how to swim so Trace saved him from almost drowning but as a result of this, Speed became scared of bodies of water.
Whenever Speed saw Shade bullying the Pokemon in town, he stood up for them trying to defend them like how Trace did for him but this always resulted him in getting hurt and developing a hatred for him constantly bullying everyone. At times he tries fighting back but because he has no experience with battling he gets whooped. Shade was pissed that Speed was constantly standing up to him since he no one has ever stood up to him before in Sunny Town and no matter how many times he beats him up he won't back down which pisses him off even more. Speed tries to avoid being with anyone who's close to him as he doesn't want them to be hurt because they're associated with him.
A couple of years gone by and in 2010, Speed learns that his parents were dead from Trace as he went to a police station in a city he went to with his dad and asked about it which saddened him and he broke the news to Crystal and Flare. In 2011 sometime after he turned 11, Speed decided to take a job as a mailmon in Sunny Town. When he took the job he met and befriended Frost and the two sometimes worked together while on the job. The two got to know each other a bit and learned they both lost their parents and had younger siblings. One day, Frost gave Speed his purple scarf as he said he saw himself in him and said it was a gift from a friend.
On another day, Speed and Trace were about to leave for another research task assigned from Trace's dad, he accidentally bumped into Silvia who recognizes him as the Eevee who keeps standing up to Shade. She attempted to use Attract on him but it didn't affect him which interested her. Speed would run into Silvia again and when she tried using Attract again and it failed, he asked her why she did that to which she responds that it was test. This weirds him out and makes him leave but Silvia's interest him increased. Ever since that encounter he hides himself whenever he sees Silvia nearby but when she does see him, he's stuck hanging out with her for the day.
After taking another beating from Shade and is currently recovering another day, he stumbles through town making his way to the post office and ends up falling in front of Frost's younger brother, Black. He helps him up and askes why he's out with his injuries and said he wanted to get to check on his Glaceon friend at the post office to which Black if it was Frost to which he confirms it was him and reveals hje's his younger brother. The two had a chat about him and the two befriended each other quickly. When Black asked him for his name, he was about to say his real name but when he saw Shade in the distance he lies about his name and says he's "Alan" as he didn't want him to get hrut from Shade for being associated with him. The two would often meet up and when Speed is beat up again from Shade, he decides to teach him how to defend himself.
One day Trace came back from another meeting he went to with his dad and had some good news for Speed as when he went to the police and asked about his parents again, he mentions how the death report was of two male Eeveelutions which he concludes that his mom could still be ablive. He thanks him for the news and heads back to orphanage excited to tell his siblings the news but stops when he realizes he has no leads on her and didn't want to hurt them by giving them false hope so he decided to keep this info to himself. He thought about leaving town when he's older to go find his mom but was conflicted on leaving his siblings behind. When he returned to the orphanage he joined his siblings who were with the mother as they were watching TV. When they changed the channel to a battle at the Indigo Plateau Conference, Flare asked why the Pokemon on TV were fighting to which the mother explains that they're doing competitive battling and explains how competitive battle teams would travel across the region in order to become the best team ever. Crystal thought it sounded cool and that she wanted to do it while Speed realized that if they were a competitive battling team he could travel across the region while his siblings were still by his side. When the three went to their room, Speeds asked them about wanting to become a competitive battling to which Crystal excitedly was excited about while Flare was hesitstant but was pressured by his sister to join.
When Speed heard news of Frost passing away he tried finding Black to make sure he was okay. He eventually finds him and he helps cheer his friend up.
Shade got a warning from the police department about rumors about his behavior and told him to knock it off or else he'll be in trouble which pissed him off as he blamed Speed for this. He decided to take care of Speed not directly this time as Shade tried to get rid of him one day by having an outlaw Fearow abduct Speed but at the moment the Pokemon was about to make its move, he was hanging out with Trace and Silvia. Speed and Trace moved out of the way while the Fearow grabbed Silvia, not knowing it got the wrong Eevee and took her into the woods. Speed and Trace go after the Fearow and eventually found them and confront it, demanding that he lets Silvia go as she was stuck up on the tree. Speed and Trace fought it but had a hard time and were getting beat up so in a desparate moment, he uses the Thunder Stone he had on him that was supposed to be for Professor Robert's research task and evolved into a Jolteon. The two eventually defeat it and when Silvia fell off the tree, Speed catches her which and returns her safely to Sunny Town and after that Silvia openly expressed how she likes him and declares him as her boyfriend which weirded him out. Shade was pissed that his plan failed.
On May 30, Speed, Crystal who was a Vaporeon now, and Flare who was a Flareon now went out for a walk through the forest around Sunny Town and during it they found a rundown house with an egg inside. The egg would hatch and an Eevee would come from it and since it looked at Speed first it called him "daddy". The three took her back to the orphanage and the mother let her stay with them in their room since the Eevee had a fondness for Speed to which he names her Sunshine. The siblings wondered why her egg was all alone in the abandoned house so Speed went to Trace again who was about to go to another meeting with his dad and at the end of the day he learns from him that two Eeveelutions were killed around the area the egg was in which he assumed was her parents. He tells this news to Crystal and Flare and they decided not to say anything about it to her now but know they'll have to eventually.
In 2012, Shade was fired from his Rescuer job as all the stuff he's done to the town and Speed has finally caught up with him as the police department heard of what he's done. Shade blames Speed as ever since he met him things have not gone his way and so one day while Speed was alone in town waiting for Black he is confronted by him and proceeds to start beating him up but because of the fighting lessons he learned from Black he fought back. As the two fought, Black who was an Umbreon now saw what was happening and was about to step in to help Speed but when he hears Shade call him with his actual name it confused him but then he realizes he was lied to again which angered and hurt him that another Pokemon he thought he could trust lied to him again. Speed just barely wins the fight against Shade as the Absol limps away after being humiliated by him but as soon as the fight was over he was confronted by Black who yells at him for lying to him about who he really was. Speed tried to explain himself but Black didn't want to hear any of it and stormed off and Speed was left there standing alone. The two didn't see each other for weeks but after some time, Speed wanted to apologize to Black and come clean with him so he heads to where his house is but to his shock his house was vacant and for sale as he had moved away. Speed was very upset as now he couldn't try to mend his friendship with Black.
In 2014 sometimes after Flare turned 13, Speed filled out the paperwork to create their competitive battling team which is called the "Eeveelution Squad". After submitting the paperwork the three siblings would talk about how exciting and nervous it was gonna be for them to go out traveling and as they talked about this Sunshine overheard them. Sunshine asked them about what they were talking about and Speed tells her they'll be going away for a long time soon which in response she asks if she can come with them and while Speed was against it at first he hesitantly lets her tag along after being convinced by Crystal. A few days later a letter came for the three siblings and when they opened it a form was in it that approved the creation of their team and that they're officially one now. They decided to wait till April to begin their journey.
One day, Trace asked Speed if he wanted to join his competitive battling team but he declined as he revealed he had formed one with his siblings so Trace declares them as rivals in a friendly way to which Speed goes along with.
On April 1, 2014, Speed, Crystal, and Flare begin their journey as a competitive battling team.
Speed's Journey In The Beginning, Speed mostly battled since Crystal always lost due to not taking battles seriously and Flare refuses to fight. When Speed fought Lt. Surge he lost at first in a battle of strength however after coming up with a plan to use the swiftness of a Jolteon and training for a bit he came back for a rematch and won which after this point he became fond of his speed-based battle style.
In Adventures in the Orange Islands, Speed was fearing for his life every time he and his siblings travelled between islands. He would get over this fear though when Crystal decides to teach him how to swim and when he gains the courage to face his fear when someone's in danger while in the water.
In Gold and Silver, Speed was against the idea of letting someone new join their team but when he met Pearl and gave her encouragement to keep going for her dream, he invites her to the team so that they can help her. Speed and Pearl form a bond over the course of their Johto journey and he trusts her enough to tell her about the real reasoning behind why they're traveling which was to find their mom which he still hasn't told Crystal and Flare about.
In Ruby and Sapphire, Speed wants to try to be more of a leader since he is the team captain of the Eeveelution Squad. He has trouble with trying to be a leader as at times nobody listens to him and when he makes strategies they're usually in a very specific way that doesn't suit everyone else but him. Speed eventually learns that as a leader he needs not have everyone do things his way and to trust his teammates and their abilities from Crystal since she trusts everyone with their abilities and works together with them to come up with appeals for Contest that works for them.
In Diamond and Pearl, Speed's past comes to haunt him in the form of Shade and Black being in the Sinnoh region. Speed and Shade's hatred towards each other remained the same from years ago and during the team's Sinnoh journey he slowly breaks him by making him question his ideals as a team and himself as a battler and a leader. Even by the time of the Lily of the Valley Conference, Speed was not ready to defeat Shade in battle. When Speed sees Black again he tries to talk to him and explain himself but he just didn't want to hear it. Despite that, the two would run into each other a lot and sometimes fight side-by-side. Eventually they talk things out mend their friendship. Like in the comics, Speed and Lazuli have beef with each other when they first meet and would continue to have beef with each other for a while until they learn about each other's past and start over as friends.
After the Battle Frontier, Speed became obsessed in XY with trying to win and getting stronger which made him lose himself a bit but he eventually snaps out of that mindset. He also finally learns about his Turbo ability which makes him as strong as Mega Evolved Pokemon so he wants to master it in order to use it.
In Sun & Moon, Speed learns to take things slowly instead of rushing through life and quickly going into battle. He learns to appreciate life as well the Pokemon he cares about, his team who he begins to see as his found family. Speed gets to meet his dad and uncle thanks to Tapu Fini and gets closure with them. Also before the Alola journey, Speed along with Crystal and Flare realized that Mollie is their mom after spending time with her during vacation and after seeing their DNA samples matched, they tell her that they're her children and the family is reunited.
In Master Journeys, when the Eeveelution Squad were struggling with their battles in the Ultra Class he made the decision for the team to split up in order to train and that they'll reunite again in a couple of months. During the split training he does end up regretting making that decision but has no choice but to continue training on his own since everyone else doing so. He does apologize to everyone for making that decision after they reunite. During the split training he battles Shade in a one-on-one battle and defeats him. When Speed learned it was Team Rocket who killed his parents so he would have a deep hatred towards them and would attempt to kill Giovanni during the Rainbow Rocket arc but is stopped by Crystal and Flare.
So that's Journeys Speed. What do you think of him? Leave your thoughts as I like reading what other people say and don't mind getting feedback. I'll make Journeys Crystal's post soon. Until then, bye!
