»   ⸻⸻   thank god she made it in time . mark had barely escaped the menacing claws of a horrid dog-like monster , and even then , he'd felt the gashes on his arms and torso from where the creature had been slicing at him mere moments before . he knew that cecil would want these checked out as soon as the coast was clear , but for now , he wanted to take this thing down . ❝ thank you for coming here , eve , ❞ he says , straightening up as best he can and getting into a fighting stance , ❝ now . let's send this canine packing with his tail between his legs ! ❞

»   ⸻⸻   ❝ i . . . ❞ a hand runs through messy raven locks , hair greasy from not being able to shower properly due to the city no longer having running water . since this . . . apocalypse started , mark hasn't been able to contact anyone he knows . not his friends , not his family . . . no one . his parents and oliver were god-knows-where , and last he heard , cecil and quite a handful of the other members of the gda had been turned . eve , rex , monster girl , robot , they all seemed to vanish . . . and william had unfortunately succumbed to his injuries , as had amber , so it's pretty likely they , too , got infected . he's the only survivor in this neck of the woods , so to speak . he turns to pietro and shrugs . ❝ i don't know . i don't know about any of this fucking bullshit . ❞ he absentmindedly kicks a few rocks around , trying to keep his head from swirling with terrifying thoughts about his friends and family being infected and just . . . stumbling around lifelessly .

name: juniper "june" melenor kogane . gender: cis female . birthdate: april 17th . general appearance: june has her mother's striking blue eyes and her father's wild raven hair . her skin is dark like allura's , but her fashion sense screams keith ( i.e. dressing in mostly dark colors ) . personality: always the spitfire , june doesn't take anything lying down or without a fight . she's very headstrong , a trait she gets from both keith and allura , but her recklessness and tendency to dive headfirst into battle often reminds the rest of the paladins of her papa . did they cry a lot as a baby?: of course , other than letting her parents know that she needed something , june rarely ever cried . what was their first word and how old were they when they said it?: june was a year old when she uttered her first word : "papa" . keith was a bit confused , but allura laughed and pointed out that sometimes altean babies would call their dads 'papa' , and it stuck afterward . what was their favorite toy?: she had two favorite toys : a black and blue lion stuffy made by her uncle lance in honor of her birth , and a toy spaceship given to her by shiro at three years old . what movie did they watch over and over?: she didn't really grow up on movies , always favoring playing outside in the backyard with her parents rather than sitting in front of the tv . did they get in trouble in school?: june never got detentions because of who her parents were known as . not sending the former leader of voltron's little girl to detention was practically an unwritten rule . not to mention her paternal grandmother was to be feared as well . what was their favorite subject in school?: her favorite subject was , believe it or not , phys ed . she particularly loved dodgeball , swimming , and , to everyone's shock , the morning warm-ups they had to do . likes and dislikes: likes — her parents , her many uncles and aunts , her grandma krolia , playing outside , and strawberry-flavored stuff . ;; dislikes — overly sweet desserts , people who bully , bigots , politics , and insects . special talents: her special talent is that she's a very fast swimmer . she once broke a world record by at least a few hundred mph . do they get along with their parents?: yes , she gets along very well with her parents . she loves the both of them very much . which parent were they more attached to?: she'll never admit it out loud ( and neither will her father ) , but she's definitely always been a daddy's girl at heart . she's got keith wrapped around her finger tightly . who do they take after more?: june has a mix of both allura and keith's personalities . she can definitely be a bit hotheaded , but when she has her mind set on something , she doesn't give up until she gets the result or answer she's looking for . what do they grow up to be?: juniper grows up to become new altea's queen after her mother steps down due to old age . three personal headcanons: one — due to galra and altean bloodlines being somewhat taboo after what happened with lotor , allura and keith were hesitant to have juniper when they found out about her . fortunately , she was quickly accepted before she was born and came into the world with a plethora of uncles and aunts ready to protect her at all costs . ;; two — she and kosmo (keith finally accepted that being the space wolf's name after a while , albeit doing so very begrudgingly) were very close even before june made her grand entrance . ;; three — she's also been through the blade of marmora trials and was given a blade at just ten years old .
