She gave him an affectionate kissed on the lips as soon she noticed his smile; smiling herself. “Ain’t that nice to hear. You’ll come meet me after I get dressed for the occasion or just go towards the event with the clothes we’re wearing? I’m fine with either option." 

The blonde affectionately pressed his lips back against hers in response to her action. Then went back to smiling. “You can if you like, Sakura-chan. I’m fine how I am.” Clothes wise he meant.

“Hey there,” Sakura greeted throwing her arms around Naruto’s neck and hugging him close to her. She finally got a break from the hospital and recharge her batteries; yay. “I was thinking of having a date. Do you want to go one? I think there’s a festival around here. Let’s check it out?”  

“Hey Sakura-Chan.” Oh yeah, what had happened wasn’t a dream. This was real. He still needed to get used to that. His arms went around her waist and he smiled. “Sure Sakura-chan, I’d love to spend time with you no matter what the occasion! Sure, sounds great!”

After an hour and half of peaceful sleep; Sakura woke up sitting up and stretching her body. She kissed Naruto’s forehead and went to the kitchen to start their late dinner. 

He smiled in response to feeling his love’s lips against his forehead and watched her go. For now, he sat still.

“Oh, thanks for letting me know.” He stated as he continued to nuzzle her and press his lips where ever was accessible of her head to shoulders.

“What’s PDA? I was going to do that anyway.” He simply stated in response as he pecked back at her lips several times before returning to her cheek, forehead and neck with nuzzles included.

“You’re an affection boyfriend, are you?” She asked with a smile snuggling back. She doesn’t mind it and she’ll tell him later she’s okay with PDA but now; let her snuggle with him. She’ll cook a late dinner later. 

“Maybe..” He simply said innocently as he nuzzled against her happily. This was like heaven to him. Pecking his lips at her cheek and forehead a few times. His biggest goal had been achieved.

“Heh.. hmm. It’s perfectly alright.” Now her own cheeks were red, but she’s happy; you can tell by her big smile. She simply pressed her lips against his in response for a long moment before pulling away. “I love you too, dear.” Here’s hoping he likes nicknames. 

“Oh, alright!” When he felt her lips against his again, this time he pressed his lips back against hers until the moment was over. Then pulled her in for a snuggle. Here’s hoping she liked affection overdoses.Completely forgetting about their dinner plans.

She bit her lip at that and ran her thumbs up and down against his cheeks with a small frown. She didn’t expect this to be easy after all and she honestly wished she knew how deeply he feels for her; if she did; that accident in Iron wouldn’t happen. “—I’ll just show you I love you, alright?” With that; she pecked him on the lips, once and twice. She leaned back to watch his reaction. 

His face stayed how it was. Until he felt her action, the moment her lips touched his. The young man’s eyes widened as his cheeks begun to go completely red. He realized. His hopeful side was right. There was no way Sakura-chan would touch him if her words were false. Not in that manner. His eyes started to water, feeling bad for his cruelty towards her as he smiled. Then suddenly he screamed. “I love you, Sakura!” Then in a quick dash, pressed his lips against hers to return the kiss. Except it was more than a peck, which lead him to pull away. Not wanting to startle her or rush things. “Uh, sorry.”

Okay. Here goes nothing; Sakura sat down next to him and placed her hands on his cheeks to have him look at her. “Okay. So we both know that feelings are very confusing and hard to handle. I also will say I wouldn’t blame you for being mad at me for what I did in Iron; I fucked up badly. I just want to say I’ve been thinking lately and I realized I do love you, Naruto.” It’s getting easy to say. 

There wasn’t a fond look on his face when she sat down, because of what half of him thought she was doing to him. Though when he was made to look at her - his cheeks went red. Half of his mind wanted to be happy, the other was in denial. She liked DuckButt, not him. “I wish I could believe this... It hurts because there has never been a day most of my life where I didn’t love you. I’m pretty sure I will forever. I don’t want anyone else so this ain’t funny.” He sighed.

In record time; they made to her apartment. She managed to unlock the door and opened it so they could come in. “Make yourself at home, Naruto,” Sakura replied taking her bags from the cart and heading towards her small kitchen. 

Naruto simply nodded after he had stashed his shopping and then flopped onto the nearby couch. Thoughts simply circling through the mind. “Thanks..”

She was chewing her lip; going through on ways to show she’s serious about this and kicking herself in the ass for choosing the damn grocery shop to confess her feelings of all places. She tilted her head to the direction of the apartment and begun to walk; quite quickly. 

Naruto simply followed behind her. Wondering why he allowed himself to feel so confused and messed up. He just wanted the complications and confusion to end.

She did fuck up big trying to get Naruto’s mind off to kill Sasuke to save him at the time, but her method was still without a doubt messed up. “—Y-You’re right. We can discuss it at my apartment. I honestly truly want you to believe I do love you.” More than a dear friend. 

She thanked the cashier before setting all her bags in the cart. She’ll return it later on. 

He simply nodded, going through his thoughts. One side wanting to be able to completely believe her, confess his love back then not know what to do afterwards like an idiot. The other half was mad at her for screwing him over, because that’s what it believed. He made his way out of the place and waited for her to lead the way.
