Quality of Life Check, For Those Who are Interested.
When recording these fanfic audio books. Would you like to listen to…
In character flat recordings. In which I am 6-8 inches from the mic and sound like I am talking to you normally.
Close up intimate in character recordings in which its sound like I am right in your ear (2-3 inches from mic, mic represents you ear).
Non-character recordings of either version of the above.

Keep in mind I am still learning. This will be as professional as I can make them. Also remember I will be reading for well on 10-15 minutes. If you can handle my voice in any of those variations for that long I salute you! I want you all to be happy with these, so, What do you think?

Rainy Nights

A fanfiction about Maiko and Kou’s relationship, hope you guys enjoy~
It was around 2 am when it was happening again. Ever since Maiko moved into the Mukami mansion four months ago, she never expected to adjust sleeping next to a two-faced idol vampire because he seems to have some kind of obsession with you. Yet here she was. He always had nightmares every night, she assumed, but Maiko didn’t feel that it was right of her to ask him or to confront him about this. She was worried that he would lash out like he usually did, but tonight, something different occurred. Usually, Maiko tries to go back to sleep to avoid conflict, but this time, Kou kept squirming around so much next to her, she just couldn’t stand it.
“Kou?” Her voice softly cut through the silence of the room, the only sound that could be heard was the rain pitter-pattering outside.
No answer. Maiko turned around to face him and looked directly at him. Since they were laying down, there was no height difference like there usually was when they were standing. He didn’t elevate her into an embarrassing position against the wall either, it was just them, facing each other.
“Kou. Wake up.” Her hand reached out to him, but as soon as she tried, she saw him flinch away from her while still asleep. “Hey, it’s just me, please calm down. I’m not going to hurt you I promise.” She reached out to touch him softly once more, and this time, he allowed her.
Maiko placed her hand on the back of Kou’s head, running her fingers softly and calming. At first he tensed at the contact, but immediately afterwards, melted into her touch. Seeing that it was alright, she got closer to him, intertwining his legs with her own, feeling his cold skin against her own warm skin, and closed her eyes again. A shiver ran up her spine at the cold touch, but that did not matter at the moment. Feeling him snuggle up to her, she opened her eyes once more to see him smirking directly at her. Maiko felt her calm demeanor dropping, knowing she fucked up and that he was playing with her the whole time. Already feeling his strong arms around her smaller frame, she blushed brightly at the contact and closeness.
“My naughty m-neko chan disturbs my slumber to eagerly let me feed from her?” Kou’s mischievous face was already in the crook of her neck, smelling her strong, yet sweet flavored blood underneath the skin. A chuckle erupted from his mouth, leaving Maiko’s skin with goosebumps. “How kind of her~ I will make sure I enjoy this midnight snack, itadakimasu~” Just as he was about to skin his fangs into her neck, she interrupted “W-wait! Don’t you dare change the topic Kou Mukami!”
Bringing her forcefully on top of him, Kou chuckled. “Alright I’ll listen to my neko, but hurry it up. I’m already a little cranky since you’ve woken me up.” “But I was just- Augh okay. Look.” Adjusting herself on top of him to straddle him properly, she continued her sentence, receiving a dirty look from Kou, but ignoring it with a glare. “It seems like-… You’re always moving around at night, making noises and crying out for people to stop or for help and I just, don’t know what to do. Are you-… Do you-…” She sighs in frustration at her own confusion and looks down in shame. Kou chuckles and adjusts, wrapping his left arm around her to still have her in his lap as he sat up. “Aww, my m-neko cares for me? This is so cute! Well, since you’re so obediently sitting in my lap for once, I’ll tell you my tale.”
An hour passes. Kou tells Maiko everything, his time in the sewers, the night sky, the orphanage, and meeting his brothers. When he was done explaining everything, he was genuinely surprised when he found her, still giving that downcast look as tears streamed down her face. Wiping them from her cheeks, she managed to shock him once more as she reached out to grab him, softly crying as she held him tight. He just sat there, not really knowing what to do, so he just wrapped his arms around her body in return.
“You know M-Neko, I’ve found you in similar situations. Sometimes I check up on you to see you shaking or crying in your sleep, so I wonder, what’s the deal with you?���
Maiko slowly sat up from the hug and wiped her tears away. In a shaky voice she answered. “My parents were killed in an accident. It was a really bad rainy day, just like this one. A drunk driver hit them just as they were rushing to get a recital of mine. They had recently not been going to a lot of my recitals do to work so I pressured and even fought with them to convince them to go to this recital. If only I didn’t they-” Maiko’s face looked so broken as her voice cracked, telling the tale of her parents demise. More tears rapidly streamed down her face as she tried to keep talking, but Kou interrupted her. “Shhhh, it’s okay m-neko, what’s happened has been done. The past is the past and you didn’t do anything, don’t blame yourself.”
“I…..Thank you Kou. Could we go back to sleep now?” “Yeah, that does sound nice. Good night neko-chan~”
“…….” “You’re letting me drink from you in the morning and you’re making vongole bianco for breakfast!” Maiko’s face cracked a smile,“Damnit fine! Goodnight Kou!” “Hehehe, goodnight neko chan~”

Why "doing something relaxing” does not help your anxiety
A lot of the time when people give advice intended to relieve anxiety, they suggest doing “relaxing” things like drawing, painting, knitting, taking a bubble bath, coloring in one of those zen coloring books, or watching glitter settle to the bottom of a jar.
This advice is always well-intentioned, and I’m not here to diss people who either give it or who benefit from it. But it has never, ever done shit for me, and this is because it goes about resolving anxiety in the completely wrong way.
THE WORST THING YOU CAN DO when suffering from anxiety is to do a “relaxing” thing that just enables your mind to dwell and obsess more on the thing that’s bothering you. You need to ESCAPE from the dwelling and the obsession in order to experience relief.
You can drive to a quiet farm, drive to the beach, drive to a park, or anywhere else, but as someone who has tried it all many, many times, trust me–it’s a waste of gas. You will just end up still sad and stressed, only with sand on your butt. You can’t physically escape your sadness. Your sadness is inside of you. To escape, you need to give your brain something to play with for a while until you can approach the issue with a healthier frame of mind.
People who have anxiety do not need more time to contemplate, because we will use it to contemplate how much we suck.
In fact, you could say that’s what anxiety is–hyper-contemplating. When we let our minds run free, they run straight into the thorn bushes. Our minds are already running, and they need to be controlled. They need to be given something to do, or they’ll destroy everything, just like an overactive husky dog ripping up all the furniture.
Therefore, I present to you:
THINGS YOU SHOULD NOT DO WHEN ANXIOUS
–Go on a walk
–Watch a sunset, watch fish in an aquarium, watch glitter, etc.
–Go anywhere where the main activity is sitting and watching
–Draw, color, do anything that occupies the hands and not the mind
–Do yoga, jog, go fishing, or anything that lets you mentally drift
–Do literally ANYTHING that gives you great amounts of mental space to obsess and dwell on things.
THINGS YOU SHOULD DO WHEN ANXIOUS:
–Do a crossword puzzle, Sudoku, or any other mind teaser game. Crosswords are the best.
–Write something. It doesn’t have to be a masterpiece. Write the Top 10 Best Restaurants in My City. Rank celebrities according to Best Smile. Write some dumb Legolas fanfiction and rip it up when you’re done. It’s not for publication, it’s a relief exercise that only you will see.
–Read something, watch TV, or watch a movie–as long as it’s engrossing. Don’t watch anything which you can run as background noise (like, off the top of my head, Say Yes to The Dress.) As weird as it seems, American Horror Story actually helps me a lot, because it sucks me in.
–Masturbate. Yes, I’m serious. Your mind has to concentrate on the mini-movie it’s running. It can’t run Sexy Titillating Things and All The Things That are Bothering Me at the same time. (…I hope. If it can, then…ignore this one.)
–Do math problems—literally, google “algebra problems worksheet” and solve them. If you haven’t done math since 7th grade this will really help you. I don’t mean with math, I mean with the anxiety.
–Play a game or a sport with someone that requires great mental concentration. Working with 5 people to get a ball over a net is a challenge which will require your brain to turn off the Sadness Channel.
–Play a video game, as long as it’s not something like candy crush or Tetris that’s mindless.
THINGS YOU SHOULD DO DURING PANIC ATTACKS ESPECIALLY:
–List the capitals of all the U.S. states
–List the capitals of all the European countries
–List all the shapes you can see. Or all the colors.
–List all the blonde celebrities you can think of.
–Pull up a random block of text and count all the As in it, or Es or whatever.
Now obviously, I am not a doctor. I am just an anxious person who has tried almost everything to help myself. I’ve finally realized that the stuff people recommend never works because this is a disorder that thrives on free time and free mental space. When I do the stuff I listed above, I can breathe again. And I hope it helps someone here too.
(Now this shouldn’t have to be said but if the “do nots” work for you then by all means do them. They’ve just never worked for me.)

important update
hey its your boy and the last mod standing
so heres the tea dear friends and followers: this blog is a toilet. rampant with inactivity and people complaining about said inactivity. the blog owner disappeared months ago and we had to resort to eating our shoes and burning samsung phones for warmth. also theres no more mods and i locked myself out of the goddamn control room.
yeah its unfortunate that a fun project didnt work out but it was just that. for fun. even if the mods did put a lot of work into this motherfucker. but whatever dont shit yourself everyone, life goes on and there are other cool daily blogs to follow and join.
some of our members have some crap to say but its all promos and memes and corny farewells. it was real while it lasted. real fuckin shitty haha got em. peace out forever homies
