Heeello! I bring another fullbody commission, this time for @transdrowcavalier , of her character, Emerald! She's a human artificer, and you know artificers are one of my faves~~ The palette here so much fun- Teals and oranges do truly go like bread and butter!

I don't understand the argument that expanding copyright law can be dangerous for people in fandom spaces like fanartists and fic authors. It's been pretty much settled that fanart and fanfic are not copyright infringement because they're protected under fair use.
Fanart and fanfic are, in fact, still copyright infringement and still technically illegal.
Fair use is an affirmative defense, which is a legal argument that acknowledges that the defendant broke the law, but presents reasons why they should be excused from liability for their unlawful action, or their liability should be reduced.
So claiming fair use doesn't mean something stops being illegal under copyright law, it means you are admitting that you broke the law by violating someone else's copyright, but you're arguing the violation was minor or justifiable enough and what you created with it was transformative enough that you shouldn't be punished for it.

turning a character into a girl is an easy way to get me to care enough about her to full combo her song. just look at her. she's so cute. she was always meant to be a girl

honestly check out vintage story, which is a reverse engineered minecraft with more 'autistic' mechanics wrt crafting and ore distribution, etc. it's like the dwarf fortress to minecraft's rimworld, tbh. it's built from the ground up to be super moddable.
I wish minecraft wasn't so sucks cus honestly it's the perfect kinda game to relax in. unfortunately it's been imbued with hitler particles since its inception and that's only being amplified now but it's not even a good game! so many mechanics are just totally useless and mojang never even updates old mechanics to match the complexity of the new ones so it's such a freaking mess. it's so sucks

oh by the way, since I guess people haven't heard? don't fucking get on a plane in the US right now (may 5, 2025) if you can help it. a ton of air traffic controllers have walked off the job. it's a nightmare, flights are getting cancelled and diverted. i know two different people who were just left in the wrong state. and this is also prime conditions for another crash. stay on the ground right now.
