mars opposite uranus
the itch to change things. likely triggered by frustration or an unmet need. possibly resulting in an explosion... an atom bomb of feelings? or a passive aggressive "confrontation"?

PLANETS IN THE 12TH HOUSE
PART I
Sun in the 12th may have a hard time forming a sense of identity, their ego is soft and malleable, shaped and reshaped by invisible forces. Solitude is prominent. Channeling the archetypes of the collective unconscious and acting as their medium through art is often very healing and fruitful to people with the Sun in this house. There is undeniable need for these people to create healthy boundaries and establish their own solid egos. Knowing that their own goals and desires are important is something that the 12th house Suns need to learn if they are to live happy and fulfilled lives.
Moon in the 12th often confuses other peoples feelings for their own. The line between ones one inner world and the universe is drawn faintly. They need to learn to use their sensitive nature in a healthy way and not be consumed by the feelings of those outside of themselves. When they begin to feel overwhelmed, silence and alone time is golden. Dreams connected to ancestors long dead are often present in these natives lives, unfinished business lurks in the shadows and waits like a demon to be exorcised in this lifetime.
Mercury in the 12th is dealt the hand of great imagination. Diving deep into the ocean of unknown, these people find amazing buried treasures. Coming back up periodically to share those amazing pieces of knowledge with the world is what keeps them sane. At best there is an ability to translate the strange, fantastical and mysterious wonders of the 12th house into logical, digestible and easy to understand ways. If the person does not take the time to understand and analyze the subjects drawn from this strange well, the mind descends into dark and dangerous territories that harm them in the long run. This one is a placement found in many great writers charts.
Venus in the 12th more than anything wants to transcend the earthly existence and return back to the very place their soul was born in. Connection to the universe is felt deeply. Beauty and relationship standards may be unreachable, as they have a quality of other worldliness to them. I often see people with this placement falling in love with those who they cannot have. Sacrifice and complete loss of self desire is seen often with this placement and is something that the natives needs to keep their eye on. Musicians, painters, and dancers often have this placement.
Mars in the 12th may hate their own aggressive side. Going after what they want may feel strange, foreign, and illusive. The 12th house is not selfish, but Mars is. Often I see these natives using their Martian energy to help others achieve something that they themselves have wanted to do. Confusion arise when they start their journey towards the thing that they want but end up going in a completely different direction, as if their own inner compass had deceived them. Going after things for the benefit of another person often keeps these people on track.
Jupiter in the 12th acts as a guiding light. The 12th house is confusing and murky, when the going gets tough people with this placement can call upon an inner trust, a guide that reminds them of their vision and leads them to their desired destination. Jupiter wants the truth, the very meaning of life, and these people know intuitively that the meaning to life is found within them. People with this placement need to make sure that they develop a trust within themselves and not look for it in outside sources. Caution when it comes to overindulgence in drugs, alcohol, fantasy, and various escapist tendencies needs to be taken. When darkness threatens to envelop, Jupiter saves the day.

a guide for planets in the houses
so about planets in the houses...i’ve seen many people are interested in the topic of empty houses and what they mean. like having a planet in some house gives it more characters and puts emphasis on it...then what happens when there’s no one home? lmao
i don’t think it signifies that the area of life that is ruled by the empty house won’t be significant in one’s life. like, ALL areas of life are significant, regardless of your placements. you can’t just not have health or everyday habits because your 6th house is empty. having nothing there doesn’t mean your health won’t be important or would be something you don’t need to work on...yeah your 10th house might be empty but you’re probably still going to have some sort of reputation, you know?
so before i state my theory on the significance of having planets/no planets in the houses, i want to remind you all that:
even if a house has no planets in it, it still has a sign (or more than one sign) in it. there is no signless house. and this sign shows you how you experience and express the topics of the house.
as for planets, we can divide the houses in four categories:
houses with benefics
houses with malefics
houses of change
houses with no planets
now i'll explain the difference:
houses that have benefics in them are the houses which contain the sun, the moon, venus, and jupiter. these houses show you the areas of life which serve as a source of strength and peace in your life. that's what you turn to in your hard times. also these are the areas in life which you have a somewhat natural control over and which you develop over time without much turmoil. f.e. my jupiter is in the 9th, my moon in 12th and my venus in 3rd. communication, learning more about various topics, and anything connected to the subconscious and to mysticism has been my pillars of strength when shit gets heavy and i know i can lean on those things to feel better. sort of like i have the channel to access them developed already. i think those houses work a bit like the harmonious aspects - sextile, trine, sometimes conjunction, and show us our 'strenghts' or smth.
houses that have malefics in them are the houses which contain mars, saturn, neptune, and pluto. these houses show you the areas of life which serve as inspiration to grow and overcome challenges. these are all things you need to work on, they present an obvious challenge in your life, and you probably have a lot of difficult feelings and experiences surrounding them. so there is this pressure you can consciously feel - the pressure to work on them, to develop them, to make them better. i have pluto in the 10th house, saturn in the 1st, and mars in 7th. my personal relationships have always been a #topic which i gotta work on, i have huge identity issues and i'm super self-conscious about my reputation and like, my place in society. there is this push to try and understand those areas of life and a lot of feelings that i suck at them and am overall lacking and not-good-enough. i'm not sure if i should add the north/south node here btw, i feel like as an axis they work differently and are neither a source of strength or a challenge to overcome but more like a guide for your overall soul direction. anyway, last thing about the houses with malefics - they're a bit like the dynamic aspects (square, opposition, sometimes conjunction) in nature, they show strong, sometimes painful motivation to overcome challenges and grow.
houses of change are the houses which contain mercury and uranus. some of you might say pluto belongs here as the planet of transformation but in the readings i've done so far i've seen the house placement of uranus as an indicator to which area of life serves as a catalyst of change, not pluto's. to me it's connected to transformation mostly on a collective scale, not personal, and it's personal significance is different. pluto follows cycles - uranus and mercury can be indicators of the shock!!! factor of change. anyway so the houses of change show are neither malefic, nor benefic. they show areas of adaptiveness and chance - this is where you can be flexible and grab opportunities which can lead to various experiences, be it good or bad. f.e. i have mercury in the 6th house - i often change my daily routine and this gets me into random situations, like i'd start getting up later and that's why i'd keep running into a random neighbor and eventually they will tell me something about another neighbor which would help me realize important things, etc. basically these are the areas in life where you can expect the unexpected and have to go with the flow with them.
now here is a tiny thing that needs to be mentioned: you can have both a malefic and a benefic in the same house ;o which makes things a bit more complicated. that's where nuance comes handy - there are some things about this area of life that will come naturally to you and that you can use as a source of strength, others will present an obvious challenge and you will feel pushed to work on them. and to understand better the nuances, you can look into the nature of the planets there, their aspects, etc.
now for the last part: houses with no planets. i believe those houses indicate areas of life which needs to be developed but you don't feel the conscious push to do so. like you don't necessarily have feelings of strong fear or disappointment connected to them (as those feelings usually serve as motivation to face the challenges and grow). if the benefic houses are like harmonious aspects and the malefic houses are like dynamic aspects, then the empty houses are like unaspected planets - they show areas of your life that you can't connect to easily and you feel no strong motivation to do so, so they usually remain untapped into and underdeveloped especially earlier in life. f.e. i have an empty 8th and the topics of death and sexual intimacy are very difficult for me but in a way that i just avoid them? i shrug them off, i don't want to "master" them. i just don't wanna think about them cuz technically they scare me...and honestly that's not good.
sooo basically what i think is we actually need to pay EXTRA attention to developing our empty houses. you need to make yourself be conscious about the topics they rule and to find a way to motivate yourself to grow your awareness on them and like, grow. there may be a lot of emotions buried under the surface - it's not like with, say, the house where your saturn is where hardships are obvious and the emotions are pretty much out there in the open for you to see, it's way more subtle. so you need to dig.

Chiron series? Yesss, now let's chat about mercury-chiron
Usual disclaimer: I am no professional, take what resonates. Some observations are strictly personal and subjective, and may slightly touch of sensitive topics.
To find out your Chiron placement, go on astro.com (make an account if you don't have one) and click on Horoscopes. After that, under "Drawings & Calculations" you will find the extended chart selection. There, choose Chiron from the additional objects.
Chiron represents out deepest wounds that will never be completely healed. It also represents pain, but not necessarily unfortune. Where Chiron is, you will become wise in that area and grow into the "wounded healer" archetype. Mercury is our mind in astrology, communication, the way we think, our intellect and mental energies.
Tumblr media
Mercury-Chiron aspects:
Mercury-Chiron brings pain and wounds to one's mind and intellect
These people might not feel smart enough, and have trouble communicating
They can be shy to express their thoughts
But that's because they might have been shamed for their opinions, or other people have talked over them in the past
They may cringe more easily at themselves lmao-
They may suffer from intrusive thoughts as well
depending on the modality, I believe their thought process is somewhat irritating to them. If cardinal, they may feel like they're too rash or impulsive. If mutable, ever changing and may have trouble building up on ideas, meanwhile if fixed, they're, well, fixed, too rigid and mental blockages type of beat (Disclaimer, this isn't necessarily true, it is just how they feel towards their minds in my opinion)
others may have pushed their own opinions onto them more than they should have into their formative years, therefore these people can encounter problems in finding their own
I also think Mercury-Chiron would be the type to listen a lot to emotional or sad music
their thoughts may torment them a lot. To elaborate on this, everyone suffers from some negative thought patterns, but I think Mercury-Chiron aspects have some core issues with this. It's like their own thoughts work against their desires or wants.
But that's why I believe people with these aspects would benefit a lot from therapy, cognitive therapy especially
words of affirmation may be one of their love languages
but for real, I have a larger theory on this. You can make someone feel better by complimenting or reassuring their Chiron placements (among others, of course). For example someone with Capricorn Chiron may feel very appreciated when someone calls them hard-working
I think Mercury-Chiron makes for a good lie detector, because they have dealt with many lies themselves
they may have conflict with siblings or cousins
like Venus-Chiron, these aspects tend to distract themselves from their issues but in a different way
with Mercury aspecting Chiron, natives may try to rationalize their trauma rather than actually healing from it
so they move on way too quickly sometimes
I believe Mercury-Chiron makes someone a good shoulder to cry on too. When developed they offer logical advice and look at problems with an understanding attitude
they can attract liars (more prone with harsh aspects imo)
Standing their ground in arguments or debates might be difficult (especially paired with an amiable mercury like Cancer or Libra and so on)
Mercury conjunct Chiron blends the two objects together. This placement has a more logical approach to their trauma, but may also refrain a lot from talking about it. They'd make great psychologists, as they can easily understand negative emotions with an objective mindset. Troubles may arise when it comes to voicing their opinions on standing their ground. Dealing with trauma is done in a detached way, which may also create some problems of escapism and not taking the issue face to face emotionally
Mercury trine Chiron is a positive aspect. The objects here work together, bringing an air of peace to the sorrow of chiron. I believe that this is similar to Venus trine chiron, great people to open up to, as they have a natural talent and instinct to be welcoming of others' perspectives and opinions. However, they might have a tendency to brush off negative feelings or rationalize them too much.
Mercury sextile Chiron is another harmonious aspect. Like the trine, it eases Chiron. These people are understanding, but also sincere with their advice. Less of a tendency to run away from negative feelings, as they take most things with a rational and calm attitude.
Mercury square Chiron is our first negative aspect. The two energies try to work together, but have a very difficult time to do so. That being said, people with this aspect have a hard time fitting their way of healing with their way of communicating. They may feel constantly misunderstood, or like they simply cannot express their distress the right way. Pushing down feelings is also big with this one, or perhaps subconsciously invalidating emotions. Positive part is that there is a lot of potential to nourish the talents of mercury-chiron. These people can be tolerant of a lot, and seek to understand rather than judge at best. I have this aspect, and I believe the key is knowing yourself first, and allow your emotions to be felt.
Mercury opposite chiron is another negative aspect. It creates imbalance in between the two energies. Feeling either too emotional, or too rational, people with this aspect can suffer a lot from chaos. The balance always tips, so that's why active effort is required. Both sides of the story can be heard, and create a much needed perspective to the world that is both rational and nourishing. I have a friend with this aspect, and man, you guys really give out great advice and make people feel heard (that is, when they finally listen to you, because I noticed most of them have a tendency to just overlook your opinions).
On an end note, mercury-chiron connects wounds with the mind. At times, it may all seem foggy, like you simply can't escape it, but it won't always be like that. Understanding yourself and how you work is optimal, and remember, don't be too hard on yourselves <3

Sun in the 1st House - The Ancient Fairy Tale
It was never about the world being too big, it was more like she was too much for the world to handle.”—Robert M Drake
People with Sun in the 1st are celestial models in the starring role of their solar sign, vividly showcasing the qualities supplied by the cosmic vault of ancient archetypes. If you open any basic astrology book and read the traits of each zodiac sign, you will find a clear description of Sun in the 1st people. There is striking resemblance to the sun sign’s archetype in question, and the stage is always set for the performance of this sacred character that lasts a lifetime. Her natural personality is a parade of God’s possibilities and divine gestures, and she doesn’t have to do anything except be. We may observe this in a Taurus Sun in the 1st exhibiting Aphrodite’s grace, resourcefulness, and creativity, or a Scorpio Sun in the 1st demonstrating mesmerising secrecy and seductiveness that alludes detection. She could be a Sun in Aries in the 1st personifying Ares and conquering treacherous heights, or she is a Gemini Sun re-enacting Hermes with a petite body that mercurial lightness. She is the light of all lights, the complete package, and a cosmic brand of her own who can very much feel like the whole solar system revolves around her ideas, desires, needs, objectives, and self. The first breath was taken as the sun was rising into the heavens, beneath a spotlight of stars that applauded her the grand cosmic event of her birth. She is then re-affirmed the importance of her existence through the way the universe bends itself to manifest the the will of her heart. She carries this ascending glow everywhere she goes and people are drawn to celebrate her qualities, talents, and presence. She may even find that people automatically clear the path and make room for her without even physically seeing her, and that her name and face is rarely forgotten.
There is something about Sun in the 1st that brings forth the light in others, but can also trigger their hostility or envy. She seems to speak without saying a word and conduct a friction in the air that lures people in her direction out of pure fascination, curious to know her and her story. She is a natural ruler who people look toward to lead while commands from the golden throne in her heart. Her style of leadership exudes nobility, grandiosity, fire, creativity, and love. The spontaneous and authentic self-expression is inherently creative, gratifying, charitable, re-vitalising, and independent. Infinite supplies of cosmic light beams shine through her and generate the lustre, verve, and hunger to taste and create the day’s sweetest candies. Her aura, mood, and presence can lift and revive the energy of the room or paralyse it completely, she leaves her company some form of starstruck. She may even find that some people act in entranced, obsessive, or fanatical ways in her private company. Sun in the 1st people want to be first and want to be number 1. It’s possible for the individual to realise this ambition through her entrepreneurship, the personality behind her product, and original creativity that captures the audience’s attention and intrigue. The individual has a skill for branding, using her personal cosmic sparkle on her designs, and making people want what she has. People genuinely adore the company of Sun in the 1st people, but they can also become exhausted from the individual’s demands, needs for reassurance, impulse satiation, and drama. She may react brutally when her desire cannot be immediately satisfied, adopt controlling, regressive, or manipulative behaviours when she is being pushed away, or have unpredictable outbursts where it seems like her chest is exploding. The individual may suffer from panic that strangles her sternum, racing heartbeat and blood pressure problems, inorganic lower back pain, and inability to regulate heat in the body.

Making an altar card
I have made these instructions with my previous post Your craft is more than your tools in mind, where I made mention that any tools you may need for your craft, you already have.
The purpose of your altar card is entirely dependant on your intention. As it stands, an 'altar card' can be any card placed on your altar, and it may not even have any significance, use or aesthetic appeal. Therefore, the usefulness of creating an altar card extends from beginners to the advanced.
This instructional is designed with baby witches in mind as a solution to the want of symbols of the four traditional elements (earth, air, water and fire). Many books for the beginner witch place emphasis on having representations of these elements in the working space. Not only are altar cards accessible—requiring little more than paper and pens—but they are also discrete and easily be tucked into a book or slipped into a pillow case.
Other uses of altar cards include:
An idol for deity worship made with intent and reverence.
An offering to deity.
A focus for an abstract idea or concept such as love or hope.
Decoration or gifts.
Altar card tutorial
To make an altar card, you will need:
A drawing tool such as a pen, pencils, markers or even paint, glitter glue, stamps and stickers.
Some paper or cardstock. If you choose to use coloured paper I recommend backing your card with cardstock because it is quite flimsy.
Scissors are a must.
A ruler might be helpful.
You may also like to use:
A trading card or a playing card, or cut up an old Manila folder for backing.
Glue; stick or bottle.
If you are inclined to make a collage-style card, you may want to cut or tear out pictures from books and magazines.
Dry leaves and pressed flowers can be a nice touch if you are interested in such things.
Steps to create something special from basic materials:
Sit somewhere well lit and quiet. Music can help with focus if you cannot find somewhere quiet enough.
Decide the purpose of your card and think upon what it might look like. How elaborate will it be? How long do you want to spend on it?
On your piece of paper draw a rectangle 8cm x 13cm, and a 1cm border each side. This makes a 10cm x 15cm card. Draw rounded corners by eye, if you like.
Take a moment to meditate on the element, deity or idea you wish to channel into your art.
Draw the image in your mind onto the page. Use your heart and feel the object of your attention. Respect it. Imbue your drawing with your emotions.
If other images come into your head you can ignore them, acknowledge them and add them later or pause and think how you can incorporate them as you form your illustration.
Name the card if you wish, in your head or written in the border. This can simply be the name of the element you have attempted to embody in the card.
Cut out the card. If you decided not to rule a border to draw within, the shape of the card can really be anything you like. You may want to draw a border after, then cut it out.
Spend a moment with your card. Feel out its energy. Imbue it with your intent. Charge it.
Now you can use the card as a symbol or idol whenever you wish to call upon its essence. Leave it on your altar or hide it away. Charge it again when you feel its energy fade or when you want to spend some time with the element.
