I like conversing across very big divides. I’m constantly talking to Palestinians, even Hamas supporters. The problem with western anti-Israel types is that talking to them feels empty. They think they know everything, they think their moral feelings are the subject of the conversation. They have no sense that they’re marginal and ignorant and not the protagonist. It’s a weird thing to come from my reality into their fantasy and having to explain myself across that mental gap.
