I took the time to draw Riddler, with the design from the DC: Dark Legion game.

Ever since the game came out on mobile, I’ve been waiting for him to be a playable character- I CAN’T TAKE IT ANYMORE

This panel really sums up everything I feel about this comic run.

Don’t get me wrong, I usually really like the girls. The Sirens are a lot of fun. But sometimes I feel like they play off the Sirens actions as ‘not that bad’ or that ‘the men secretly like being under Ivy’s love spell even when they protest cause they are men’.

And that makes me angry. The Sirens in this run humiliate and ruin everything for Edward over and over and when he doesn’t forgive them immediately he’s posed as irrational or overly sensitive like he doesn’t have every right to be angry at the women who humiliated and betrayed him multiple times.

hot artists don't gatekeep

I've been resource gathering for YEARS so now I am going to share my dragons hoard

Floorplanner. Design and furnish a house for you to use for having a consistent background in your comic or anything! Free, you need an account, easy to use, and you can save multiple houses.

Comparing Heights. Input the heights of characters to see what the different is between them. Great for keeping consistency. Free.

Magma. Draw online with friends in real time. Great for practice or hanging out. Free, paid plan available, account preferred.

Smithsonian Open Access. Loads of free images. Free.

SketchDaily. Lots of pose references, massive library, is set on a timer so you can practice quick figure drawing. Free.

SculptGL. A sculpting tool which I am yet to master, but you should be able to make whatever 3d object you like with it. free.

Pexels. Free stock images. And the search engine is actually pretty good at pulling up what you want.

Figurosity. Great pose references, diverse body types, lots of "how to draw" videos directly on the site, the models are 3d and you can rotate the angle, but you can't make custom poses or edit body proportions. Free, account option, paid plans available.

Line of Action. More drawing references, this one also has a focus on expressions, hands/feet, animals, landscapes. Free.

Animal Photo. You pose a 3d skull model and select an animal species, and they give you a bunch of photo references for that animal at that angle. Super handy. Free.

Height Weight Chart. You ever see an OC listed as having a certain weight but then they look Wildly different than the number suggests? Well here's a site to avoid that! It shows real people at different weights and heights to give you a better idea of what these abstract numbers all look like. Free to use.

Prices

Every plush I make is hand made to order and custom designed, they're a unique piece of art I put a lot of time and effort into which is why I've set a minimum price for each type.

Prices will vary depending on the complexity of the design, materials used and overal time taken to make. Eg - AK Scarebear - many sculped details, difficult and intricate needlework and a multi layered outfit, £350 at minimum. Compared to AS Scarebear - few sculped details with simpler needlework and a multi layered outfit, £250 at minimum.

Once we've agreed on the design an upfront non-refundable deposit will need to be paid, amount depending on the type of plush commissioned.

I accept paypal payment only. I am happy to do payment plans you'd prefer to pay in instalments, details of which can be planned out where necessary.

Time to Make

All plushes are made to order and will take longer for more complex designs, I also work full time and I'm in part time education. Before you pay any deposit I will give an expected timeline and will let you know of any delays that may come up.

Delivery

If you are outside the UK/Ireland a maximum £20 delivery charge will apply, tracking info will be provided as soon as possible. If there are any issues with delivery you will need to get in contact with the courier.

Riddler should be a woman actually

I could literally make an entire power point presentation about why this makes sense, but stay with me. Here are some of the main points.

1. SOCIAL COMMENTARY—-

The sheer amount of potential to play with is how Riddler got into being a criminal in the first place: because he’s smart, right? And he went through life undervalued and abused in spite of that? (A lot of crossover with Penguin and Scarecrow for his origins tbh)

Now let’s recontextualize that if Riddler is a woman.

Then she would represent a massive amount of women in stem/“brainy” fields that get passed up because they don’t dress sexy or sleep their way to the top. Now, her having an abusive father feels especially heinous and the idea she dresses scruffy normally but wears makeup and a dress as Riddler shows that she thinks she’s actually allowed to be feminine if she’s a criminal. It’s… actually really tragic the more you think about it. And of course, she feels practically “invisible” as Enid Nigma instead of the attentive, sharp, and respected Riddler. Like… the really sad part is that she DOES get more respect and value as the Riddler instead of “a normal citizen” because she’s actually feared and respected as the “Greatest Criminal Mastermind Since Frank Abignale” (yeah the ego doesn’t go away sorry)

2. Riddler has always been weirdly feminine.

And no, this is before DC and Fanon made him officially bisexual. It’s similar to the fact that Penguin was introduced with a CIGARETTE HOLDER when that was a feminine accessory. Like… I want you to THINK about any straight male characters that use a cigarette holder that aren’t Penguin. You can’t do it.

Riddler is sort of a similar case, especially since he’s the most flamboyant outside of Joker and Two-Face. And he thinks like a woman weirdly?! Like a neurodivergent woman. And before you go pointing fingers like “Queer erasure,” she’s still bisexual and LOOK AT THE OTHER BATMAN VILLAINS PENGUIN IS THE ONLY TRUE STRAIGHT ONE I SWEAR—-

3. It would be an insane twist.

And not like “The RidDlEr’S a WoMaN?! 🤪” or anything like that, but the fact she used people’s IMPLIED SEXISM so that never occurs to them ON PURPOSE. You know “the doctor is the boy’s mother” riddle? Yeah. That Also she and Batman still have their typical fun banter with a “You wouldn’t hit a woman with glasses would you?” and “I’m an equal opportunity crime fighter” thrown in as well. So while never outright flirtatious, it’s still a fun “You are OPPRESSING me” “You are literally a criminal.”

4. Both a critique and actual analysis of different phases of feminism.

The truth is?! She’s sort of a pick-me. Like… she’s second wave feminism where Ivy is in the sixth or something. Also. This woman would absolutely be a terf. I’m sorry. It just makes too much sense. Autism tends to add to black-and-white thinking, so like… yeah. Luckily it (almost) never comes up because she knows when to keep her mouth shut! But yeah. She just doesn’t get it especially with her understanding of biology.
