On this day in 1452, Leonardo da Vinci was born. Despite being a polymath, the man couldn't draw a vulva if his life depended on it. You might notice his work isn't quite up to its normal quality as he missed quite a few important bits.

Despite the big illustration of a vulva, on this page da Vinci was actually exploring the anus, which was more interesting to him than the vulva. The pretty, swirly designs on the page are his thoughts on how the muscles of the anus were structured: he thought it consisted of five muscles arranged in a kind of petal arrangement. That's not right either, the anus consists of one ring-shaped muscle.

The Australian Zodiac. It's like the Chinese Zodiac but with Australian animals and the Year of the Dragon is the Year of the Drop Bear instead.
