Bellatrix had a feeling that something was not right with Andromeda. Her sister, her wonderful sister, had been ignoring her for quite some time now. Would only have short conversations with Bellatrix as if sheâd rather be anywhere else in the world. Which, truly, did not make sense. They were best friends, Bellatrix trusted her sister. Maybe not completely trusted because Andromeda seemed much kinder and empathetic. That was also something that did not make sense to Bellatrix. How was her sister suppose to rise up if she smiled at everyone and did not at least try to live up to the Black name?Â
A fleeting thought ran through her mind. A reminder of what Rosalyn had told her not even a week ago. âI saw Andromeda with him. The mudblood.â But Bellatrix had waved it off as just Rosalyn gossiping and trying to get a rise out of her. There was absolutely no chance that her sister was dating a mudblood. The thought had never crossed her mind. That Andromeda would abandon her family, her name, her position. For what? For love? She had a duty! They all had a duty as pureblood women. (Bellatrix always thought her duty was more than just marriage, it was holding a wand and carrying out deeds to secure the purebloods position, but duties none the less).Â
Until one day Andromeda comes to talk to her by the lake.Â
âBella, we need to talk,â her voice quiet, not making eye contact with her sister. And Bellatrix knew instantly. Bellatrixâs eyes widening and darkening, her mouth twisting into a snarl of sorts. For a moment, Bellatrix thinks she might hit her sister. Sheâs never been one for brute force, always picking a spell, but she gets the feeling to literally knock some sense into her sister. âAndromeda, if your next words arenât about something silly like quidditch or something Narcissa didâŠâ She didnât finish the sentence, the threat was loud and clear.
Andromeda finally looks her in the eyes and Bellatrix sees determination and bravery in her sisterâs face. âIâm getting married. To Ted Tonks.âÂ
Bellatrixâs face turned red, her teeth gritted together, her hands clenched into fists. Her beautiful sister, the one who had the most potential outside of herself, was throwing it all away. Throwing Bellatrix away. âI cannot believe youâre doing this,â she finally managed to say, âthrowing away your name, your family, for what? A boy?â She laughs, hysterically. âThere are plenty of pureblood men thatâd love to marry you, you traitor.â Bellatrix spits out the last word, snarls it. The word comes out easier than she thought as if she had suspected it all along.
Her sister tries to say something, interject, but Bellatrix has always been quicker on the draw. âStop. I donât care about your reasoning, blood traitor. Your friends polluted your mind with delusions on equality. Thereâs no such thing. You have the most powerful last name in the wizarding world and you wasted it.â Andromeda goes to walk away, but Bellatrix takes out her wand, gives a flick of her wrist as she says âIncarcerousâ and Andromeda cries out. âHe wonât be able to protect you. When the war comes, and it is coming, youâll have no one on your side.âÂ
Then casts another spell to let her go and smirks, âYou donât have a family anymore. Youâre not a Black. And since you picked a mudblood, you never were a Black.âÂ
Bellatrix walks away, she doesnât care what Andromeda has to say, whatever defense or excuse sheâs made up to justify all of this. In all actuality, she shouldâve seen this coming. How caring and compassionate she was to all sorts of people. But Bellatrix was blinded by the fact that Andromeda had been her sister.Â
When Bellatrix returned home to the Black house not too long after, she immediately went into her room. Still untouched as it was on September 1st. For a moment, Bellatrix frowned, saddened about what had happened over the past seven or so months. Everything was so wonderful before they left for Hogwarts. She remembers teasing Andromeda about...something, she canât remember now.Â
She doesnât want to remember now.
There were pictures over her walls. There were pictures in a book that Narcissa had made over the summer, of the three of them on vacations and with their cousins and at pureblood parties. Always smiling with arms around one another. She wouldâve done almost anything for sisters, she thought with tears forming in her eyes. No, she thinks, I canât cry over her.
In a fit of unbridled rage, she ripped the photos from the walls, ripping them into tiny pieces, screaming curse words at the pictures that fell apart. She tore through the book, finding any picture she was in and ripping it up. She was angry, angry that some mudblood could take away her sister. That his friends could pollute her mind and take her away from Bellatrix. From their family. Â
When she finally left her room, Bellatrix was stopped by her father. âBellatrix, she isnât one of us anymore. Do not waste your thoughts on her.â Cygnus gave her a stern look, a hanging threat at the end of his sentence. âThere are more important things to worry about.â
Bellatrix nodded. Her father was right.
Besides, they both would get what they deserved in the end.

Do you have a favorite comic book character you identify with? I am now totally obsessed with all things Black Widow. I went down the rabbit hole a bit of watching Scarlett Johanssonâs work in The Avengers and Iron Man. I am also obsessed with her stunt double, Heidi Moneymaker. You can watch her work on YouTube and sheâs incredible. - Bridget Regan [x]

Oh man I LOVE Rab's bio
I mean I still want to play Amycus more than anything, but I love Rab's bio a lot
I hope someone applies for him because if I get accepted to play Amycus that would be one of his connections.
