Finally get to show you guys our pieces for the @ladrienzine and I am so excited to show it!

I’m a huge Sherlock Holmes lover, so when I heard I could make my piece based on an AU, I jumped on this and rushed to create a Sherlock Holmes sort of AU.

The story follows Adrien, who after his mother passed away, left his home and bitter Father to travel the world. On his journey through China he met an old man called, Wang Fu. The man was kind and took him in, taught him the way of his ancestors and became family. Within the years he lived in China, Adrien had become part of the Eight-Nation Alliance and he had earned the name of “Black Death” among the men, fighting against the Qing forces for many years until bad luck struck their winning strike and lost. In fear of their next battle’s outcome,  Wang Fu sent Adrien to Britain with an address and a promise, that he would find the path he was searching for.

Once in Britain, Adrien follows the mysterious address and arrives at a small detective’s office. There, he meets ‘Marinette’, a bright-eyed young woman who takes care of daytime cases and makes sure the office is in tip-top shape and is nighttime assistant to the infamous “Red Lady”.

He is given a proper job as Marinette’s daytime partner. Working to solve cases such as “Lost and Found” and the common “Surveillance” jobs. By night however, his job tests his patience as the Red Lady’s assistant. A young woman too secretive to understand, who refuses to share her name with him, let alone follow common laws of “Breaking and Entering private spaces”. A woman who takes law into her own hands to bring justice to the little people. And a woman who challenges Adrien’s past on a daily basis as he avoids dangerous encounters that require the involvement of weapons.

I finally get to share my contribution for the @ladrienzine with you guys! I was honored to be a part of this stunning project! 

My idea is that Ladybug was invited to attend a gala at the Louvre, and of course all the big shots are there, including Adrien and his father. Chat Noir was also invited but sadly couldn’t make it!

Gabriel was ironically put in charge of designing her outfit for the event, so she looks stunning, of course. With Tikki’s assistance, she managed to mold her actual costume to fit underneath the hanfu. She was uncomfortable with the idea of wearing it, but Adrien was so excited to see Ladybug in his father’s design… So she ended up complying.

When she shows up, Ladrien moments ensue! But before the night is over, it is revealed that Hawkmoth set a trap for her! She fights in her hanfu instead of her normal attire, and Adrien is transfixed by her beauty!

Side note, this statue is Psyche Revived by Cupid’s Kiss. The tale of Psyche and Eros(Cupid) is one of the most romantic Greek myths and I welcome you all to look into it if you are not familiar. This statue happens to be… at the Louvre! So I chose it for the background!
