Xavier: -In the days leading up to Valentine’s, you haven’t heard from Xavier as much as you normally do -This is because he’s busy grinding at the arcade for the huge plushie you had your eye on last time you went together -He’s good at games and has quick reflexes, but it is like the arcade made this one impossible to win -After many grueling attempts, he finally wins and gets to take it home, just in time to ask you to be his Valentine -He knocks on your door randomly one night, and when you look through the peephole, all you see is a massive bunny plush waving at you -I���m talking as big as you massive -You open the door and Xavier pops out from behind the plushie -Xavier: “I worked really hard for this one, but it was worth it because it’s just as cute as my Valentine.” Me: “Your Valentine, huh?” -The tips of Xavier’s ears pink and he says, “I mean, I was hoping you would be.” -You pull him and the plush bunny into your arms, kissing both on the cheek -The two of you spend the evening finding the perfect place for the plushie and giving it the perfect name

Zayne: -Zayne claims his sweet tooth has been acting up again while the two of you are casually strolling through town -You want to joke with him about the dangers of sugar, but his eyes light up when he sees a chocolate shop at the end of the street -He’s trying not to seem too eager, but he is practically pulling you inside the store -The shopkeep tells you that they are giving out samples for couples, and Zayne lets you go first to pick your favorite one -After you try a few flavors, Zayne says, “Well, is there one you liked best?” -Before you can answer, the shopkeep emerges from the back with a special chocolate in the shape of a heart -The shopkeep hands it to Zayne, and Zayne holds it up for you -You realize that there are words engraved on the chocolate heart that say, “My Valentine has my heart.” -Zayne: “Since you already have my heart, I guess that makes you my Valentine, too?” -Of course you say yes, clutching the chocolate to your chest and standing on your tiptoes to give Zayne a kiss -On the walk home, you decide to freeze it so that you can enjoy a piece of it on every Valentine’s Day to come

Rafayel: -Rafayel has been working on a custom art project for a “rare and special” customer -If you try to ask him about it, he’ll immediately get defensive and makes some variation of “an artist sometimes needs to work in peace” excuse every time -Eventually, you just let him do his thing and forget about it The day before Valentine’s Day, you’re walking along the shores of Whitesand Bay with Raf -At the end of the shoreline, there is a blanket, pillows, strawberries, and champagne set up on the sand -He leads you to the setup and then hands you a flip book -Going through it, each drawing details moments in your relationship, with cute chibi versions of the two of you acting out the scenes -At the end, chibi Rafayel is holding a sign that says, “Will you be my Valentine?” -Before you have the chance to say yes, you look back up at Raf and he is holding the same sign -Rafayel: “Well, what do you say, cutie?” -After you say yes, the two of you watch the sunset and share the strawberries and champagne

Sylus: -Will buy out an entire flower shop just to ask you to be his Valentine He picks you up for dinner, adamant that you can’t go to his place until after the meal is finished -When you arrive at the restaurant, the waiter delivers a bouquet to your table -You: “What exactly are you planning?” Sylus: “Trying to spoil the surprise, sweetie?” -Sylus doesn’t eat as much as he usually does during the dinner, and even though he won’t admit it, you can tell that he is nervous -When you get back to his place, there is a trail of flower petals leading down the long hallway of his estate -You follow them into his bedroom, where the entire room is filled with bouquets of all kinds. Roses, sunflowers, tulips, daisies…wall to wall covered in flowers -And at the middle of it all, Sylus hands you a single red rose and says, “Will you give me the honor of being your Valentine?” -He hoped you would be surprised, but he isn’t expecting you to take the rose out of his hand and jump into his arms -The rest of the night is spent enjoying the elaborate display he put together (and if you’re really lucky, he’ll even wear the flower crown you make him out of one of the bouquets)

Caleb: -You and Caleb are having your weekly dinner night, but he is acting suspicious this time -He won’t let you help in the kitchen, and he even makes you sit on his couch so that you don’t try and take any sneak peeks -You try to guess what the food could possibly be based on the smell alone, and it isn’t until the timer on the oven dings that the room is filled with the delicious cheesy smell of pizza -Caleb, donning two oven mitts and a “kiss the colonel” apron, places the pizza in the center of the table -He calls you into the room, and when you enter, you realize he has transformed the whole kitchen. The table is illuminated by the dim flickering of pink and red candles. There are heart shaped plates on the table, and heart shaped balloons on the ceiling -When you sit down to eat, you realize the pizza has a message for you spelled out in the pepperoni pieces: “VALENTINE?” -Caleb: “What, too cheesy?” -You can’t help but laugh at his dumb joke before agreeing to be his Valentine -The two of you spend the rest of the night eating the pizza together and planning what you’ll do on Valentine’s Day

Xavier: -Three of his favorite activities with you are as follows: cuddling on the couch, playing video games with you, and cuddling on the couch while playing video games with you -He’s good at literally all of them. If you’re good too then he’ll get pretty competitive, and if you’re not then he’ll make sure to let you win once or twice so you don’t want to quit -Has two mini bunny plushies holding hands on his desk at work. If any of your coworkers confront him about it, he’ll just smile and tell them that they’re a rare, inseparable pair -Will instantly fall asleep if you play with his hair at all. Even the slightest head scratch has him dozing off. Playing with his hair is the most comforting thing in the world -He used to give you bites of his food whenever you would ask at the beginning of the relationship, but now he purposefully leaves the parts he knows you’ll want on his plate. The crispiest french fry, or the juiciest dumpling, or the piece of cake with a little bit of extra frosting are yours every time -If you confront him about it, he’ll just shrug and say that he’s full, but the smile on his face when he watches you happily eat it says otherwise

Zayne: -Nothing is more relaxing to him than coming home from a long day, snuggling together on the couch, and reading books -He always asks you to describe the scene you just read whenever he hears you gasp or smile, and you have him summarize the latest findings in his medical journals -Has photos of you in his office, and little trinkets from your time together. He even has a stash of old receipts, ticket stubs, and those paper admittance bracelets safely stored in a memory box -The two of you try to go out and get fresh air whenever you have days off together. Even if it is as simple as walking through the park, Zayne loves any excuse to get to hold your hand and see the world together -Likes playing board games and will get adorably frustrated if you aren’t listening to the rules or don’t take your turn in a timely manner. Rafayel: -Names all his fish after things that remind him of you. One is named after your favorite dessert, your favorite color, the first place you went out to dinner, and that noise you make when you’re surprised (that one is your least favorite fish, evidently) -This man cannot tie a tie. I said what I said. Before he met you, he rarely wore one anyway, but now if he has an extremely formal art auction to attend, he always comes to you for help -Will kiss your forehead and tease you whenever you tie it for him, but you can’t deny the way his cheeks flush with gratitude -Most likely of the boys to have multiple conversations going with you across multiple platforms -You’ll be texting about your plans for the weekend, sending each other funny videos on social media, and having a whole ass different convo complete with detailed drawings on SnapChat all at the same time

Sylus: -Likes to have themed dinners with you. Most of the time he’ll let you pick the menu, but he also has his fair share of good ideas -Think like 1920s Speakeasy, Build Your Own Pizza Night, Around the World Buffet, etc. etc. -Makes playlists specifically for driving around town with you. Of course, he will sing along to all of the words and he makes sure to sing the love songs directly to you -Of course you guys have a housekeeper, but on days where the housekeeper isn’t there, Sylus likes to clean with you -It’s mostly just an excuse so he can chase you up the stairs with the feather duster, pinning you to the ground to tickle you until you squeal

Caleb: -Loves to dance with you, even if no music is playing -If you’re in the kitchen getting a midnight snack, he’ll sneak up behind you and spin you into his arms, letting the refrigerator light flicker on the floor as he twirls you around -Even though he’s a successful colonel now, he still loves going thrifting with you -The two of you make it a mission to find outfits for each other, and will do a mini fashion show when you get home -Aside from Xavier (because canonically sleepy), Caleb is the most likely to fall asleep while watching a movie or TV with you -You: “Wow! I can’t believe that just happened!” Caleb: “Mmm…yeah…crazy.” -Cue you playfully smacking him with a pillow to wake him up, and him adamantly protesting that he was awake the whole time, all while he snuggles your waist even closer

He just doesn’t remember to do it that often, unless the two of you are going on a fancier date -That being said, his natural scent is still wonderful -Think floating on a cloud of warm, fresh laundry -You steal his hoodies even on days he doesn’t wear cologne just so you can wrap yourself up in his natural scent

Zayne: -Wears Chanel “Bleu de Chanel” - “Features a fresh citrus accord followed by ambery cedar. Woody notes are amplified by tonka bean and vanilla for heightened sensuality. New Caledonian sandalwood unfolds at the base for greater depth, leaving a captivating trail.” -This cologne is inconspicuous enough that if he wore it for patient check ups it wouldn’t be overpowering, while still being noticeable enough that you think of him any time you encounter the scent -Most likely to wear cologne the most often. He prides himself in being perfectly hygienic and put together, and part of that is making sure he always smells good -When he isn’t wearing cologne, he smells perfectly clean. Like that just-cleaned-the-house smell, but no chemicals. More like a fresh breeze coming through the window

Rafayel: -His cologne is Tom Ford "Soleil Blanc" - “a floral amber scent that evokes remote private islands where summer lasts all year. Alive with seductive cardamom and refreshingly decadent ylang ylang, Soleil Blanc unapologetically exudes the endless pursuit of sun and luxury.” -We’re basically going for with a lighter scent, with some floral notes and a touch of the ocean -Likes to use scented lotion too, even if it’s yours, and will ask you if you think he smells pretty every time he does -It could be the length of his hair or the way it curls at the ends, but it holds product for so long and you can smell his shampoo every morning when you wake up together -It takes all of your strength not to stick your nose in his hair and inhale, because he definitely teased you about it the first time you tried

Sylus: -Y’all the way I struggled between choosing something for our boy’s expensive taste and something that I thought actually fit him from a scent perspective (I went with the latter) -Viktor and Rolf’s "Spicebomb Dark Leather" - “Like an illicit encounter between dark leather and bare skin. Explosive notes of spicy black pepper and nutmeg. Deeply masculine base notes of dark leather and tobacco, leaving behind a trail of something unforgettable, yet impossible to define.” -He is the one you smell the longest after going home from a date. With such strong notes, its no wonder that your skin smells like him in all of the little places he touched -When he isn’t wearing cologne, Sylus smells like all of the things he surrounds himself with. Leather, velvet, vintage records, the slightest hint of exhaust from his motorcycle -In the mornings, you swear that he has an almost sweet sort of smell. Rich and syrupy when his skin is warm, scent mingling with yours under the covers when he pulls you close to his chest

Caleb: -Wears Calvin Klein’s “Eternity” - “Celebrates the concepts of forever and modern, multifaceted masculinity. A powerful and elegant base of suede and vetiver is layered with a heart of warm geranium and cypress. Top notes of alluring sage and apple impart crisp freshness to the lingering and compelling scent.” -It has apple top notes, c’mon I couldn’t not use it -This is a scent he’s worn for forever, so the first time he wears it when you reunite with him is emotional to say the least -You definitely don’t admit to him that you have a bottle of it at your apartment that you would spray whenever you missed him -His natural scent is very outdoorsy. He smells like the embodiment of sunshine and fresh cut grass and endless summertime

When he finally does, his hair and clothes are rumpled and he is rubbing his eyes -“Is everything okay? I guess I fell asleep early.” -His voice is that scratchy sort of sleepy and you feel your cheeks flush at how adorable he is -You: “Everything is fine, you just weren’t texting me back so I got worried.” -He smiles, eyes softening, and then invites you in -You’re sitting on the couch together and while you watch the videos you sent, he is starting to doze off again -You: “Xavier are you still tired?” Xavier: “Mmm, a little. Zayne: -This man has been stressed trying to plan the perfect time to finally kiss you -He’s thought about it since you were children, but never actually worked up the courage to do it until now -First, he plans to do it right when he picks you up to get the nerves out of the way, but when you answer the door you look so cute he feels tongue tied. He tries again at dinner, but a bunch of waiters come out singing ‘happy birthday’ to another table. Then he plans to do it at the coffee shop, but you point out that he has whipped cream on his upper lip, so he chickens out again -He resigns that it won’t happen today, but then you decide to take a different turn on the way home from your date, out across the bridge that overlooks Linkon City -He’s holding your hand as the two of you stare out at the water and twinkling city lights -He thinks: Now, just do it now. Don’t lose your nerve -You: “Zayne…I…” Zayne: “Yes?” -He is completely caught off guard when you stand on your tiptoes to give him a swift peck on the lips -When you pull away, both of you are furiously blushing and you stutter out some sort of apologetic excuse -Zayne takes this moment to cup your face in his hands and kiss you more tenderly, more gently, trying to infuse each moment with how much he has wanted this to happen for so long -You: “I was worried you would take it badly.” Zayne, chuckling softly and brushing your cheek with his thumb: “And I was worried I’d never actually get the chance."

Rafayel: -Rafayel is lamenting his lack of inspiration when you visit one day -Dramatic fishie moping around the house, wondering if he lost his talent, until he gets a lightbulb moment with that familiar mischievous grin -Rafayel: “You could always pose for me, cutie.” You: “Me? Why?” Rafayel: “If you don’t, these artist hands that bring magic and joy to the world will go unused forever.” -Cue eye roll, but you agree -You feel awkward, having never posed for a portrait before -Raf is looking from his canvas, to you, and then frowns. Holding out a thumb and squinting with one eye, he says, “You’re a little lifeless.” -You tell him it’s because you’ve never done anything like this and he laughs, hands in his pockets as he walks over to you -Rafayel: “You just need a little more color in your cheeks.” -He leans forward and silences the question you are about to ask with his lips. You’re stunned for a moment, but then you kiss him back, letting your arms loop around his neck and pull him closer -He pulls away, cheeks equally as flushed as you feel, and then says, “There we go, but I don’t know if my painting could possibly do you justice now.”

Sylus: -On your way to work one morning, you see a flyer about a local Night Market, and you text the details to Sylus -Sylus responds with: “Trying Linkon cuisine with a local? Hmm, alright sweetie. I’ll be back in town tomorrow. Be ready by 6:00.” -The next evening you arrive at the market, but angry gray clouds are starting to appear overhead. You brush it off, ready to enjoy your time with him -You meander all the way down to the end of the stalls (he orders one of everything that you say sounds good), talking about everything and nothing, trying to ignore the way your heart pounds in your chest whenever he catches you staring at him -You: “Want dessert? They have a cotton candy stall here that shapes it like different animals.” Sylus: “Sure, then I’ll have two cute kittens to look at.” -When the kitten shaped cotton candy is ready, Sylus holds it out for you to take a bite together -At this moment, the sky takes the perfectly inopportune time to open up, and it begins to rain -Sylus lifts his jacket to shield you from the rain as you run towards a nearby tree for cover. By the time you get there, the cotton candy has all but completely dissolved  -Disappointed, you look down at the stick Sylus is holding and say, “I’m sorry about the kitten.” -Sylus, drenched from the rain, laughs in a way you’ve never heard before. A jovial sounding chuckle, that is loud and sincere and real -He tilts your chin up to look at him, brushing strands of wet hair out of your face as he leans in and says, "My favorite one is still right here in front of me.” -He brushes his lips against yours, tentative at first until you kiss him back, and then he lifts you off of your feet to kiss you more fully. -As droplets cascade from the sky, you wonder if anything will ever be as romantic as a first kiss in the rain

Caleb: -Let’s be honest, the two of you shared at least one kiss when you were younger -But Caleb wants a redo because no way that time you dared him to kiss you in the attic actually counts -He’s helping you clean out your closet, because you told him that he owes you a favor but also because he wants to spend time with you. He stumbles upon a big box labeled “Memories,” dusty and shoved up on the top shelf -When you come back into the room with lemonade for both of you, you’re mortified as he rifles through the box filled with your most precious memories -You: “What are you doing?” Caleb: “What, are you embarrassed about what I might find?" -He holds up an envelope with your ten year old handwriting scrawled “super secret future plan, DO NOT OPEN!” on the front. -You lunge towards him, needing to get the envelope away from him before he opens it and sees that your super secret future plan was a drawing of a house and two kids with him -In your determination, you haven’t noticed that you’ve fully straddled him until your chin bumps the top of his head  -The fear of him discovering your secret dissipates, and it is replaced with a tension in the air that you can both feel -“You don’t have to hide anything from me,” Caleb says, nuzzling his nose against yours -Caught up in the moment of it all, you lean in and kiss him -Just enough to catch him off guard and just enough to snatch the envelope away -“Ha!” you say triumphantly, but the telltale blush on your cheeks tells Caleb all he needs to know about how you really felt   -Still though…guess he’s going to need another do over

Zayne knows some details about your ex since you grew up together, but it is enough that he instantly turns on his protective side

The barista calls your name and Zayne’s next, and Zayne squeezes your hand before getting up to get the drinks

Right as your ex is reaching for the drink, Zayne slides in front and picks up the drinks you ordered with ease, cutting your ex off

The coldest delivery of, “It’s polite to say sorry, but I’m really not.”

Your ex starts to get upset but Zayne has already turned his back with your drink

He calls over his shoulder, “The life of a surgeon is busy. If you wanted to go first you should’ve gotten a better job.”

Zayne hands you your coffee with an easy smile and a kiss, making sure your ex is watching the entire exchange

Rafayel:

You and Raf are touring a museum to see the spot where his newest painting will be installed later that month

When you hear a familiar voice at the end of the hall, you freeze

Rafayel: “What’s wrong, cutie?” You: “That voice sounded just like my ex. You know that ex.”

Rafayel merely nods, and then drapes an arm over your shoulder as you keep walking forward, pulling you as close to his body as he can

Rounding the corner, your ex spots you and sneers, “Surprised to see you finally got back out there.”

Rafayel turns to you and says, “Aw cutie, I didn’t know you used to do charity work.”

He presses a kiss to your cheek and then the two of you leave the museum, Raf never letting you out from under his arm

Sylus:

When Sylus gets back to the base one night, he can’t find you in any of your usual spots

Rationally he knows that Mephisto would have told him if you were in any sort of danger, but emotionally Sylus can feel his heart rate starting to speed up

He finally finds you on the terrace, having a rather heated conversation on the phone

He knows you’re completely capable of fighting your own battles, but as soon as he hears that name - the one you told him about, who hurt you - all bets are off

Casually strides over to you and plucks the phone out of your hand with a, “Let me handle this, sweetie.”

His hand is tracing protective circles on your back when he says, “How did you get this number?” Your ex on the other line instantly gets defensive.

“I’m going to stop you right there. Nobody talks to me like that and gets away unscathed, but nobody talks to her like that and lives. If you value that pathetic little life of yours, I’d leave town for a while.”

He hangs up the phone and then blocks the number before handing it back to you

Sylus: “I don’t think your ex will be bothering you anytime soon.” You: “Yeah because you threatened them?” Sylus: “It was more of a promise, kitten.”

He spends the rest of the night being extra romantic. Stealing long kisses whenever you walk by, taking you to his vinyl room to slow dance, and making sure you know just how much you are worth loving 

Caleb:

You’ve been acting weird all night, even though Caleb took you to your favorite restaurant

Caleb: “You’ve barely touched your food. Are you feeling alright?” You: “Yeah everything is fine. I’m just tired.”

As if you could ever actually lie to Caleb, but he doesn’t press the issue further

On the way out of the restaurant, you pass by a table close to the door, where you’re greeted with a, “Is that Y/N?”

As soon as Caleb sees your ex, he is like a different person. He’s squaring his shoulders, his hand is protectively gripping yours, and his eyes are absolutely determined

Of course he knows all about your ex, being on the receiving end of all of the nights you spent crying over this horrible person, but meeting face to face is a different story

Caleb puts on a fake smile and then bends down by the table so as not to cause a scene

“If you even so much as look at her again, I promise it will be the last thing you do. Understand?”

When Caleb stands up, your ex sees just how much he towers over them, and they shrink back in their seat

He then makes a dramatic display of kissing you right in front of them before you leave the restaurant
